Rain opened his eyes, in the horror filled forest again, yet this time he wasn't afraid, he didn't want to leave. Right away, at least.
He wanted to confront this strange cat, about the earlier events. He clawed the ground to steady himself, whirling around trying to spot it.
"Looking for me?" The cats voice called as it padded from the darkness, red eyes glowing eerily.
"What was that!? What did you do!?" Rain snarled, his claws sheathing and unsheathing.
"Your going to have to specify. I do many things, many wonderful things." The cat meowed with a grin, fangs peeking from its maw.
"With....me, and the kit! Ripplekit! You took over me!!" He hissed, louder now trying to be threatening towards the cat, yet it didn't seem to effect it.
"Do you still not realize? I've told you many times before." The cat began circling around Rain, each pawstep sending a shiver down his spine. "I am apart of you, Rain."
Rain shook his head, keeping direct eye contact with this strange cat. "No you aren't, I am only myself, I wouldn't behave as how you portrayed me. You cannot convince me that you are part of me, you are nothing but a flea brain." He clawed the grass beneath firmly to steady himself.
The cat began laughing, and the more he laughed, the darker the forest got until it was pitch black. Rain pinned his ears in irritation, "give me an answer you coward!!" He yelled above the booming laughter, as everything faded.

Rain awoke with a gasp, his tail twitching as he felt a paw prodding at him. "Wake up, rain! You've been twitching and mewling in your sleep like a kit! The entire warriors den hardly got sleep because of you."
Rain looked up to see BatFlame with disappointment in her eyes, and a pang of sympathy flashed through him. "I'm sorry, I-"
BatFlame interrupted him "Sorry won't solve anything. Now go on and leave, cater to your mate and kits or at least do something useful, we do have the gathering tonight, remember?"
Rain shook his head, suddenly remembering that the gathering was tonight. "No, I forgot, but I know that MothStar has already decided on who will attend it."
As BatFlame was about to speak again, MothStar called from the clearing, booming loudly over any other voice. "let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the highledge for a clan meeting!"
Rain stretched and padded out to the clearing, sitting below the rock covered ledge in the middle of camp, where the fresh kill pile lay under. He stared up at the leader, his tail wrapped neatly around his paws as the other cats began flooding into the clearing.
"As we all know, the gathering is tonight and I've selected the cats who will be going. Aspennose, CanineClaw , Peachflower, petalnose, Lilyfang, Rain, beetleear, silverpaw and echopaw." MothStar called out the cats and rain felt a twinge of excitement flare up.
He hadn't gone to a gathering in moons! Finally he'll be able to catch up on clan news fully instead of only hearing elders talk about it. Maybe another cat will have had the same dreams as him! He swayed his tail in anticipation as MothStar dismissed the clan and leaped off of the highledge.
He padded over to CanineClaw who was sitting next to his sister, the deputy, WindRustle. They looked almost alike, despite the scars that CanineClaw had.
Rain remembered exactly how he got them, when he was an apprentice, the clans had spotted a large dog wondering around, and decided to chase it out. Yet as soon as they got there they were overpowered by a pack of five dogs, and all the clans fought side by side. CanineClaw was in the medicine den for over two moons, and he almost went to starclan, but with FogWhisper's intelligence he lived.
"Excited to be at a gathering again I see?" WindRustle meowed humorously. She was his mentor, and his friend, they had never fought once.
He purred "it's been so long! I think I'd have the right!" WindRustle looked down at him, a smirk on her maw, CanineClaw and WindRustle's family had always been oddly tall and quick, making him shorter then her.
"Well, you always cause a ruckus, meowing at all the other cats! You never stop!" She meowed, her tail swaying playfully as she stood up straight.
Rain wiggled his haunches "you know this maw doesn't only meow right? I have fangs to, mouse brain!!!" He purred playfully and pounced at her, the both of them tumbling and battering at eachother playfully as if they were kits.
They both broke apart after a while, purring, and panting heavily. "I'm stronger than you and I was your apprentice!" He meowed, kneading his paws.
As MothStar trotted over and flicked his tail, beckoning WindRustle to follow him, She turned around and over her shoulder meowed loudly "than ive trained you well!" And stalked off purring.
Rain couldn't deny that, she was the one who trained him to be as he was now, and he was very grateful for it.
