A/N: there is a song that plays during this chapter so when you hear crying, DW its the song it's "oh my baby X I bet on losing dogs -mitski" because it just fits the vibe of this. If this chapter makes you cry I've done my job :3 (also the beginning part is EXACTLY how you should imagine FallenScratch in this :D) ANYWAYS BEGIN!

A screeching wail of grief struck through the clearing as CanineClaw stumbled in, a small drenched white fluffy cat hanging from his maw.

Ripplepaw.

Rain felt his eyes grow wide at the fading terror in Ripplepaws glazed eyes, water dripping from his open maw. The screech was FallenScratch, who had run across the clearing, as CanineClaw dropped him and backed away, watching and trembling.

FallenScratch pressed her paw on Ripplepaw and nudged him, her mew breaking. "Ripplepaw, your okay.... your gonna be okay, just wake up.." she nudged him again.

Immediately she dropped to the ground, as if her paws melted under her, she crouched, staring in his eyes. "Oh my baby....my baby..." She sobbed, her breathe quick and loud.

Foxpaw stumbled forward, her eyes widened as she stared at the corpse of her brother who lay sprawled out on the rain soaked grass. The entire clan was silent as they watched FallenScratch over her kit who she was licking his drenched fur.

"Ripplepaw?" Foxpaw stood there, the flower she was talking about bringing her brother earlier dropped Infront of her paws. "Ripplepaw!?" Foxpaw meowed louder, still unable to drown out the sound of FallenScratch's sobbing.

"He's okay right?" Foxpaw looked up, her voice quivering. She looked up at CanineClaw, who had his ears pinned back, his eyes filled completely with sorrow. "CanineClaw!" Foxpaw whispered, her claws unsheathing.

"CanineClaw he's okay, promise me he's okay! Promise me he's okay!" Foxpaw's voice shook even more.

Rain felt his chest heaving, and his heart pounding. I did this. I did this to them. I hurt them. He felt his own heart collapse, as he watched the others.

Harsh rain thudded on the ground, splattering around as FallenScratch turned Ripplepaws head to turn to hers and pressed her muzzle against his. "Ripplepaw..." She whispered before she wailed louder in grief "NO!!!"

Foxpaw nuzzled her brother, and nudged him. "Your okay, you...your gonna wake up and we're gonna go hunting tomorrow! We're gonna... we're...." She looked at her mom and back down at her brother, finally crumbling to the ground beside him. Her voice sounded as if it was aching as she struggled to speak, "Ripplepaw please don't go i need you..!" Her sobs turned into quiet wails as she pressed closer to her brother.

"Please wake up" she barely whispered "please don't do this to me I can't live without you..! Please...! Starclan please don't take him please!!" She wailed louder pressing closer to her brother. Molesplash stepped closer, trying to grab Ripplepaw and take him to the middle of the clearing. "We need to sit vigi-" she was about to meow sympathetically, before FallenScratch turned around and clawed her shoulder.

A bloody gash formed on Molesplash's flank but she didn't fight back, "Dont take him from me!" FallenScratch yowled, her eyes full of grief. Molesplash didn't fight back, she just simply listened and backed away, with a nod of sympathy. FallenScratch turned and whispered quietly "my precious kit.. my precious baby.."

The rain pattered around them as Rain winced, watching this and knowing he caused it. He would never forgive himself for it, no matter what.

Rain didn't get any sleep, he watched the entire night. The cats managed to take Ripplepaw to the middle of the clearing for other cats to grieve, but FallenScratch wouldn't't let them near. Every other cat grieved from afar. It was now late sunhigh and it was time to bury Ripplepaw.

WindRustle padded over and gave FallenScratch who was still sobbing a gentle lick. She whispered something Rain couldn't hear, and managed to grab Ripplepaw by the scruff. She turned around and began to walk away, FallenScratch grabbed one of her hind paws with both front paws to try and hold her back "No! My baby! Please don't take him! Please! Please! Please!"

WindRustle, who's eyes were filled with sympathy pinned her ears down and continued walking. FallenScratch's paws slipped and she collapsed on the grass, reaching her claws out as she wailed for her kit helplessly."Ripplepaw!" Foxpaw ran weakly after WindRustle, and tried to get her brother "let him go! Let him go WindRustle! WindRustle! WindRustle! Please let him go you can't take him from me he's my best friend!"

Another warrior blocked him gently with a paw as WindRustle disappeared into the forest. Cats surrounded him to comfort him as they brought him to the apprentices den, along with FallenScratch to the warriors den.

Rain sighed, his heart pounding as he curled up in his nest, guilt striking him as he faded off to sleep.
