A/N: Guys. Right now, we're 648 in Fantasy! WOOHOO! I love y'all! So amazing! Thank you so much!

A full blown battle had gone out.
The rest of the gang had joined the scene.
And they were fighting with all their might.
Biana crept along the sidelines, blinking in and out of sight. When she was visible, she tended to have her back pressed tightly against the rock face, avoiding the chilly breeze. She appeared every once in awhile to swing a punch with a new and improved Sucker Puncher 7.0. Over the years, Dex had made many revisions, this one a new prototype with built in mechanisms such as a flashlight, 5 tranquilizer darts, and a camera. It kicked Neverseen butt.
Dex was hurling gadgets through the air in random order, switching on buttons and levers, some able to trap Neverseen members in shields. But they only lasted for a couple minutes. If someone couldn't take care of hem by then, they were released from their cage and more angry than before.
Silver bangs were spotted near a shadowed cliff face to West, whom she assumed were Tam and Linh. A giant ball of water hovered above the battlefield as it split apart into sections, firing at the Neverseen. Their legs collapsed as they were submerged in the water until it broke away, forming a bubble shield around them. Even without seeing her, Sophie could tell the work would have a strain. Linh had been strengthening her Hydrokinetic skills for a long time, but with that many members, she probably wouldn't be able to keep her hold on the bubbles for over ten minutes.
Fitz had been hurling boulders with his telekinesis before Linh had trapped them in their bubbles. Dex was now attempting to make a more permanent shield for the Neverseen. Dex hypothesized to get dwarves to tunnel in and out of the shields he was forming.
Marella had joined the fight with her braids flying through the air, fire burning from her hands. She had learned to call Everblaze since her manifestation and now always kept frissyn on hand. The burnt sugar scent wafted through the air, the crackles echoing through the mountains. The fire burned brighter.
Keefe and her had been fighting the Neverseen with medlers, gadgets, and some spare determination.
The Neverseen had been doing the same.
But with more fire, of course.
Things had been going well for the last couple minutes with the Neverseen trapped, although there was one problem.
A Neverseen member still lurked outside their bubble.
And no one knew.
Until... Well... You'll find out.
Keefe stood off to the side while Sophie sat on top of a large hill of snow, piled up on top of others, fluffy and soft. Keefe was a couple feet away from the rock wall, arms crossed, face twisted into his trademark smirk.
She stared at him from fifty feet away, admiring his still confidence.
As she turned her head away, she caught a glimpse of an eye on a cloak near Keefe. Her eyes widened as her gaze shifted back to the blond.
"No..." She whispered desperately.
The shine of the dagger was hidden in their palm. A measly ten feet away, the agent could reach Keefe so easily.
And she knew she'd never get there in time.
The agent took another step, hood covering their face, arms wrapped around himself.
He was closer.
When she finally got enough of his slow steps, her knees buckled when the agent's arm was outstretched, raised behind his shoulder, and she jumped from her mound of snow, concentrating on the icy blue eyes, knowing that if one thing was going to happen, she wouldn't let Keefe get hurt. She focused on the void, focused on slowing down time, focused on his messy hair, focused on the dagger. She felt the feeling of being stretched out, stretched into a rubber band. She had been doing the only thing she could have done: teleport. She appeared in front of Keefe, her legs behind her in the air, the position of a cartoon character as they went flying. His eyes widened as he noticed the agent behind him, Sophie in front of him. Her face stung with the impact of herself against his chest as she wrapped her arms around his torso, linking them together to be an unbreakable chain. She thought he was saved, that he would be perfectly safe and uninjured. Content. Especially with her for saving him. So content, safe, and uninjured.
Boy, how wrong could she be?
So she was late.
He was stabbed a second after.
Heads turned and the Neverseen was pinned down seconds later by Fitz. And she saw the agent knock Fitz down. And she saw him on the floor. With blood running free.
Red stained and soaked through her clothes, but Sophie's arms latched around Keefe's waist instead as she lifted him with her telekinesis.
She barely noticed the extra weight.
And she ran.

Her footsteps suck into the deep snow, and she silently cursed her squishy, wet sneakers, wishing she had worn boots instead. She trudged on making sure that she hadn't accidentally hurled Keefe into the snow.
Minutes later, she managed to find a small shelter.
Her eyes adjusted to the dark environment of the cavern as she ducked and led them into the cave, laying Keefe down on the ground gently.
Her core began to ache with the soreness of carrying Keefe here.
She had been going on pure adrenaline.
So she whispered, "I'm sorry," as she kept pressure on the bloody wound. She shouldn't have been so rushed. She should have prepared. She could have even brought Panakes blossoms.
He grasped her now bloody hand with a tenderness that a dying person shouldn't have been able to possess. "Don't feel guilt, Sophie. Please. You tried to save me. You did. He could have pierced my heart instead. I'd already be dead," He laughed. He called me Sophie.
"This isn't funny Keefe," Her face twisted into contortion. He let out soft hacks as she carefully patted his back until the coughing fit ended.
"Don't feel guilt," He choked out.
"Why?" She asked. "Why? It's my-"
"It's not your damn fault Sophie!" He exclaimed, pleading with his eyes. She gasped at his sudden outburst.
"Sorry, I just... I can't have you break because of me." His voice cracked around the edges. He affectionately raised her hand to his lips and delicately kissed it. Jolts of electricity shook through her hand, her face crimson. A shy smile broke out on her face. His goofy grin morphed into a contorted, twisted face, eyes tightly squeezed shut. His nose scrunched up as he clenched onto her hand.
"Keefe!" She cried out. "Are you okay?" Her eyes led back down to the blood sinking into his gray pants, the blood now a barn red. It leaked onto the fitted lavender tunic that Sophie wore.
His breaths became more labored, his heart beating louder.
She was suffocating, the walls closing in on her pounding chest and excruciating migraine.
"I'm a freaking Empath Sophie. You think I can't tell you're blaming yourself?" His soft features now felt sharper than the dagger he was stabbed with.
"Why shouldn't I? I dragged you into this, I could have prepared more, even one Panakes blossom could have you healed by now! I promised you I would have a leaping crystal ready by my side, and yet here we are!" She yelled in frustration, tears clouding her vision as Keefe ripped off the black glove she wore, sending a gentle blue breeze. She let herself sink into the breeze, let it carry her away to a world that didn't exist - at least for her. But Keefe was dying. And he still waited and was using up what might be the rest of his energy on her. Why would he use it on her? Why should he use it on her after what she had done? After everything she hid from him, after everything he was forced through, why? Why her? She ripped herself away from the fantasy world and replaced with the cruel, harsh reality where nothing was right and the person that she cared the most about was bleeding to death next to her. Her throat stung with bile, threatening to spill everywhere.
"Because you're you." He breathed. "And it's not your fault. I promise you, Sophie." His serious stare made her wonder, But what if it is?
Remember to vote and comment!
Do you think it's Sophie's fault?
Is Keefe going to be okay?
SHIPS?
Why do you think Keefe's calling her Sophie instead of Foster?
Do you think Fitz will apologize to Sophie next time for being a umm... ermm... Yeah?
Why is Keefe sacrificing everything for our Foster?
ANNNNND, I CHANGED THE TITLE AND COVER! A little while ago, but... HOW DO Y'ALL LIKE IT????
