Come to the brightest path worth seeing.
Contact me when you see this.
As you know, I am not long gone.
I can only say this to you: I am running and someone is trying to catch me.
Remember the Shining Sun.

She laughed silently as she read the initials of the note. She had to contact the Black Swan. But the path worth seeing? Bright? She pondered. It didn't make sense.
"I am not long gone," She recited aloud. Her eyes widened as the two minute warning bell rang. The sound echoed in her ears. The note she held was gripped tightly in her palm, the white paper standing out against her peachy palm. She raced up, up, up the stairs. Stumbling on the last step, her shoe caught the edge of the stair. She squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for the impact to hit her face. It never came. Only a pair of strong arms wrapping around her torso. She blinked, her eyes meeting with Keefe's ice blue ones.
"Thanks," She whispered. She peeled open the door of the her classroom, forgetting the note still hidden safely within her palm. The note fluttered to the floor, as Keefe leaned over, his hand connecting with hers to take the note from the floor. She gasped.
"What's this?" He demanded. Panic swelled inside her, fumbling for a response.
"Just some stuff for uhh... Class," She nodded, plastering a fake smile on her face.
He held onto her wrist, the one holding the note, before leaning in to tell her, "You're a real bad liar, you know that?" Her breath caught as he plucked the paper from her hand. "It's like you don't even know I'm an Empath," He muttered underneath his breath. She still caught the sharp words. But she knew it was true. Why was she even hiding it?
"Wait," She gripped his arm gently, pleading with her eyes. "Please," She whispered.
His eyes were empty before warmth rushed in, and he handed her the note compliantly without complaint. The tips of his fingers brushed her cheek softly, before he held onto her waist.
"You better let me know what that is," He warned. He pulled her closer for a split second before practically shoving her out of his arms. He blinked.
"I will," She whispered, and ran into her classroom.

Is that the only memory?
Of course not...
I didn't think so.
She sighed softly.
The rest?
Ok.
She rallied her concentration, focusing on the one moment where everything fell to pieces. When she caught it, and it just slipped out of her hands. It hurt to relive it, but... She had no choice. She could do it.
But the world had another idea.
She shook, thinking it was from the strain until a sharp pain in her temple shot, and her eyes split open rapidly, Keefe mouthing the words, Attack!
She gasped for air as she held onto him as Keefe grabbed a crystal, the feathers tickling her skin. She closed her eyes and leaned into his warm embrace.
She was also slightly grateful for the interruption, even though she knew that she'd have to finish this later. She felt guilt pulse through her veins. There was an attack. And she somehow found something positive about?
Was this the new suspected rebel group? Or the Neverseen? She wondered.
They landed at the doorway of Havenfield.
