The girl stood by her bookshelf, carefully organizing the bones on the shelves while Alex G music palyed straight into her ears. Her hands working silently as her short brown hair fell into her eyes.

She squeaked as a mouse skull slipped from her fingers and dropped to the floor.

"shiiiiittttt-" she muttered as she picked up the skull, which now had a crack in it. she moved to put it on the shelf again but then her mom's voice called out from the kitchen, cutting through the best part of the song.

"FATE! YOUR FRIEND IS HERE!" 

Fate rolled her eyes "SHE HAS A NAME MOM!" 

She set the skull down lightly and made her way to the front door, opening it to see her best friend, Charlie, standing there with a backpack and a large smile.

"heeeyyy!" she said.

"did you bring the candy?" she quickly grabbed her shoulders and looked into her eyes.

she laughed, "duh."

Fate grinned evilly and pulled Charlie into her room. "gimme gimme."

Charlie snorted and threw a bag of gummy bears into her lap. "there you go you sugar addicted gremlin."

Fate rolled her eyes as she stuffed a handful of the gummys into her mouth, promptly flipping her off and saying, "Fmckk ymuuu" 

Charlie set her bag down and picked up a small mesh bag.

Fate immidiatly stopped eating, "what is that-"

"BONES-" Charlie said before Fate could finish speaking and threw the bag at her face.

Fate dodged and grabbed the bag out of the air and poured its contents onto her bed with an eager expression.

A small rat skull
A kitten paw skeleton
A keychain with a small spine attached to it, probably a mouse or rat

But the one that caught her attention was a large claw

"woaaahhhhh!" Fate exclaimed as she picked the claw up and held it up to the light filtering in through her window, "what animal is this from?" 

Charlie shrugged "the label just said 'big claw' so who cares. It's a big fucking claw."

Fate squinted at it, "im making this into a necklace and you cant stop me." 

The girl stood up and grabbed a necklace chain and some wire (which she has for some reason...dont ask) and promptly began to twist the wire around the claw.

Charlie watched in amused silence as her friend worked, "don't cut yourself."

"I wonnn't!" Fate said in a sing-song voice.

After a few minutes the necklace was made and was now around Fate's neck.

"it slayysssss" she said sitting down next to Charlie again.

Charlie smiled, "sure it does, to anyone who thinks wearing bones is fashionable" 

Fate gasped in mock offence, "HEY. taxidermy is fucking cool!"

Charlie stayed for a few hours, until her phone dinged.

"oh...its my mooommmmm...i have to leave nowww..." Charlie sighed, "see ya at school."

Fate smiled at her, "see ya at school, byeeee"

Once Charlie left Fate took her necklace off, examining the claw again.

"what animal could this be..." she mumbled to herself, turning the claw over in her hand.

Suddenly, the sharp tip caught on her hand and tore through the skin of her palm.

"AH WHAT THE FUCKING HELL OH MY STARS HOLY SHIT GODDAMN ASS AGAGHHH!" Fate spewed a few curses and dropped the claw onto her bed as she hopped around.

She continued to walk around before grabbing an Ace bandage and wrapping her hand.

"Holy stars up above. ow."

She picked the claw up more carefully now.

"It's PROOOBABLY a bad idea to sleep with you on...sooooo i'm gonna put you here," she set it on her bedside table, "and put you on in the morning.

She side-eyed it on her way out of her room to eat dinner, before finally leaving.

Lets just hope that this dosent get infected..
