Personality: A very relaxed and friendly person, Elijah is the kinda guy you typically see always smiling. Kind and polite, he usually gains a lot of people's respect within their first interactions. Once he begins to open up with people, he seems to grow even more energetic since he feels comfortable with you- a large extrovert really. 

 Strengths: Horseback riding; archery; reading (and interpreting) literature; writing 

Weaknesses: His curse and because of that anything too physical or that uses too much energy. 

Likes: his strengths; reading/writing; music; teasing his siblings; when he's healthy; meeting new people; parties; excitement and trying new things; sneaking around the castle and "hidden" places around the castle he hangs out in 

Dislikes: his weaknesses and his curse of course and when he gets very sick; when he's not allowed to go outside and be active (staying inside); people having to take care of him- he wants to do it himself and is a bit stubborn about it since he also doesn't like people seeing him sick; how long the family's seemed to been disconnected from the public and not being able to go out and "experience" public life

Backstory: Elijah was born on the same day as his twin sister, Eloise, not long before their curses were placed on them. Only one year old, Elijah was cursed to be sickly, his sister cursed to be forever healthy. One closer to death, the other immortal. According to his doctors, Eli wasn't likely to make it past age 10. However, he's always rebounded back into health so the doctor's estimates for how long he has left are practically just guesses- 50/50 at this point. Part of Eli has always been a bit bothered by his father's reluctance to reconnect with his people and is glad that the selection has led to him at least being in touch with some of the public. He holds a little bit of resentment towards his father for that reason and lots towards his mother for his curse. There have currently been 3 major incidents where Elijah has come close to death in his life and he's thankfully fully recovered from all three of those incidents. Horse riding has been something that Elijah has been doing since he was young and it's been an escape for him in some ways from his curse along with archery. Eli also has become a great reader and writer because of how much time he's ended up sick in his room throughout his life with nothing to do. Currently, there are a few different medicines Elijah is on to hopefully help with the curse although he feels like there's no difference if he takes them or not and only continues to remain on them for his father's sake.

Curse: The opposite of his twin sister's- instead of staying super healthy, Eli is usually very ill. It varies and sometimes he's merely got a headache and other times he's bedridden. Being a large realist, Elijah has been preparing for the most obvious outcome of his curse since he was young which was ultimately him either getting bedridden sick permanently or worse- so he's decided to live life the best he can until then. He isn't afraid of the outcome because in his eyes it's inevitable.

Thoughts on the selection: This wasn't anything expected and he isn't sure if he's the biggest fan of finding whoever will be with him for life out of a handful of strangers- but he hopes that whatever happens will work out in the end. More than anything, he's just glad to finally be getting to see more people as he's only really lived in the castle- this is the closest he'll get to be to people who're outside of his usual life and live in the public
