»» his mother wasnt fit for taking care of him when he was little (she was an alcoholic) and he got put into the foster care system at the age of 7. since then he's moved to a city in texas with family but then got transported to a different member in another city in cali. has lived with his mom twice between those two foster homes and now has moved back to living with another random foster home since his mom is back to alcoholism. he misses her and wishes he could stay and take care of her in cali and doesn't like how far apart they are and how little he has seen her in the past 10 years. life feels too inconsistent.

FRIENDS - none unless you count Johnny Alderson, his older foster brother/Mr. and Mrs. Alderson's only child

EX-FRIENDS - the ones he used to have as a kid in Cali. now he doesnt keep up with anyone back there but his mom really.

ENEMIES - could consider Samantha Smith to be one but she's really just oblivious to Kai's poor and polite attempts at telling her he's not interested

CRUSH/SIGNIFICANT OTHER - none. yet.

PAST PARTNERS - has had exactly ONE. Pam Hutching- Kai 'dated' her for about 5 months and 12 days before he realized he never had once thought of her while kissing her, holding her hand, hugging/cuddling her, or anything. and when he had it had been as friends. she basically is the person who helped Kai to realize he was gay although he didn't tell her this when he broke up with her, not at all. Kai didn't even quite figure out he was gay until he went to his second foster home (the one before this one) and met the next door neighbor boy. or more like saw him now and then.

his name had been Benjamin (Benji for short) and Kai still can't remember his last name to this day. he was taller and stockier and biked and didn't laugh at Kai the one time he saw him fall off his skateboard across the street. if things were different, maybe they would've gotten together rather than stayed distant due to Kai keeping his distance, but they never became anything more than short term aquatints, hardly on the threshold of friends.
