BIRTHDAY| December 23
AGE| 18-20 (MAYBE 17 but depends on rp)

SEXUALITY| uHH- *coUgh cOugh- WHEEZE-* he workin on it... ((deep in denial but gay))
BACKSTORY (in the works- need to talk to Shade more lol)| Naoki Nakamura-Kai, born three years after his older brother, sometimes wonders if he was born three years too late. Always wanting to prove to his father that he has what it takes to run the family business, "Joji" grew up working himself to the bone. In the past, he always believed that he had to beat out his older brother, whether in training or other aspects. He was rigorous and rather cold... but eventually realized how unhappy he was acting like that. So, still ever much wanting to prove himself to his somewhat neglectful father, Joji has taken on a very energetic and bubbly personality now as a teen and tries to get his father's attention at every moment he can. Naoki was personally a bit upset when first finding out he'd be getting sent away to some school with his siblings but after finding out exactly what kind of school this was and who he'd get to meet there and the potential of really showing his father (finally!!) what he could do, that bitter outlook turned into one of almost toxic positivity.
PERSONALITY| Joji is the most bubbly and extroverted out of his two other siblings. Fueled by his curiosity and thirst for adventure, he is always trying to learn more not only about his culture but also about his family's business. Wanting more than anything to prove to his father that he can run the family business, Joji feeds into his curiosity in order to try and learn as much as he can. Although his cheerful exterior wouldn't hint at it, Naoki is very detailed and precise in his learning and wouldn't dare leave room for mistakes. Sometimes this can backfire as he may push himself too far to try and get that perfect grade to impress his father. He looks up to the man (as well as his older brother) but almost too much. Joji is definitely an extrovert and loves meeting new people- his curiosity once again can come into play but getting to know other students may make him come off as nosy...
FACE CLAIM| Sean Lew (wattpad is being homophobic and not letting me insert a photo lol)
STRENGTHS| extrovert - Joji adores meeting new people and does his best to talk to everyone he bumps into or at least say hello; tokyo culture - very into knowing as much as he can about his homeland's history and enjoys sharing it too; precise in all he can be; optimistic/positive and will constantly be reminding his siblings why they're at the academy and why its "literally the best thing ever!!"; enthusiasm to try new things; knife throwing is a fun hobby of his that he's grown quite skilled in
WEAKNESSES| curiosity - as the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat; hopefully that wont be Joji's case either; his adoration for his father/brother - while potentially good as it pushes him to do well in his academics, he can get a bit too invested on occasion and forget to take care of himself; again, his precision - although great for basically any kind of mission or job imaginable, it can naturally backfire into overthinking; sometimes jealous of his older brother although about 90% of the time he looks up to and adores him; could be seen as naive with how easily he trusts people
OPINIONS ON FAMILY| Thinks its important. He trusts everyone in his family to have his back like they have his own. Who wouldn't do anything for their family?? The thought of it makes his skin crawl a little considering how much he sees his siblings' talents and trusts them to rely on his talents likewise.
OPINIONS ON BUSINESS| He loves his father's and family's work and has always seen it as a strong achievement. A way around the rest of the world's system. Although he doesn't particularly like /killing/, that's not something he believes he'll have to worry much about so long as he keeps himself high in power. He secretly hopes his father will see him as a more fitting figure to carry the business rather than his brother but he also loves his brother a lot and looks up to him too, so he supposed he wouldn't hate it too much if his brother got to carry on the job (although he might still be jealous for a while...).
OPINIONS ON SCHOOL| Touched on in his backstory, Joji sees the school as a "perfect" opportunity to finally get his father's attention and prove himself worthy to carry on the yakuza. He's incredibly excited to meet new people and learn more about the other families while in school as well as more impressive skills to master. However, this positivity is rather warped where he almost refuses to believe that this school might be a bit warped in itself or the fact that it really does almost seem as though him and his siblings were separated yet further from their busy father. Joji does feel a small sense of abandonment being sent to this school all the way in America but he believes that it was in his father's best interest so he trusts it'll be fine.
OTHER|
- Has some daddy issues he likes to ignore teehee ✨
- Sees his brother sometimes like a father figure considering he gets more attention from him than his actual father
- Sometimes his father has scared him in the past but hasn't interacted with him enough negatively to really feel like he is afraid; he looks up to him far more than he fears him
