━━━━THE NIGHT SKY felt comforting to Y/N, the street lights warming up the night. She just enjoyed late night drives and how they made her feel.

The empty streets were shown through the car window while the soft music played warmly in the background giving her peace as Aniya drove through the streets.

"Don't you think it's a bit weird?" Y/N spoke up, soon breaking the silence as she held her head in her hand, glancing in Aniya's direction.

"What's weird?" Aniya was a little lost but attentively waited for her best friend to continue.

"Mmm, the fact that Tyler got mad at me for thinking that I had feelings for Miles, then turned around and kissed Maria behind my back." She explained to Aniya.

She found it weird how he could possibly do that and expect her not to feel some type of way, especially after he witnessed the whole thing with Miles.

At the start of their relationship they were just the best couple you could imagine. Dates, movie nights, holding hands, doing possibly everything together.

But with that mindset on their relationship, Tyler began getting tired of it. Being around her, and even just dating her. He practically just love bombed her.

That's when he started being distant, dry texts, getting mad at her for stupid reasons, talking shit about her behind her back, etc etc...

"Yeah, Tyler's just really toxic. But.. how do you feel about you know.. Miles?" Aniya asked, trying to be cautious of going too far. She didn't want to make Y/N uncomfortable.

"I don't know....I spent so much time worrying about being with Tyler that I didn't even bother with him. But I don't know what to do about him, it's like I feel this rush of emotions when it comes to him but I'm so confused."

Y/N was being completely honest, she did like him pre-rooftop incident but her feelings slowly began to be pushed down about him to the point where she set aside everything that involved him.

She just jumped into the relationship with Tyler not knowing how to get rid of her feelings or sitting down and thinking about it. Y/N just wanted to move on from him.

Don't get this wrong though, she still continued to be his friend but not as close as before and Miles could sense that, so he kept his distance as well.

"Hmmm, I see." Aniya replied understandably.

"I just don't want to start something I can't finish. I just need some time to myself, you know?" Y/N continued, expressing every thing she felt.

Aniya hummed in agreement, making it obvious that she understood her best friend and her situation.

━━━━"BRO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" —Ganke questioned his friend lying with his back on the bed, while Ganke was seated in Miles' desk chair.

"What you talmbout, bruh." He turned his attention back to Ganke, with a confused expression.

"You're acting like a jerk. Don't you understand that you're blaming Y/N for something you did?" He explained to him, and Miles just sighed at this.

"I didn't think she was going to move on so fast." He says bluntly—to his friend. Ganke just looked at him like he was crazy.

"You didn't think she would move on after telling her too?? Miles! This would never have happened if you wouldn't have said you just wanted to be friends with her. You made it seem like you weren't into her at all and played with her feelings."

Miles began to sit up on his bed, before proceeding to process everything that Ganke had just said to him. He knew he fucked up, bad.

Why did he have to say those words to her that day?

He obviously knew that she had feelings for him too or else he'd wouldn't have confessed but he just went on his impulsive thoughts about what was happening in that moment.

With his father in the hospital at the time, His mind was rushing with thoughts about wither or not he'd make it, or what even happened to him in the first place.

"Do you not care about her at all?—" Ganke genuinely asked, with concern toned in his voice, he raised his eyebrow. Miles placed his hands on his face in a distressed manner.

"I do care about her, I just keep pushing away the people I love because I don't want it to hurt when I end up losing them either way."

"Well you're being an ass, I hope you know that." Ganke expressed, telling his friend the hard truth.

Trying to make his friends understand how deep he hurt someone that was close to him and how she was just trying to understand him.

"It's just that's not an excuse to project your feelings onto others. If you want a girl to like you, you don't push her away and get mad at her for something she can't control."

Ever since his father died, Miles had been having a hard time trying to understand peoples feelings and emotions. He kind of just became blank unless if he'd felt like he was not being understood.

He only ever worried about himself and his own feelings when it came to things. Miles just pretty much decided it was best to stay to himself.

"Whatchu want me to do? Talk to her and apologize or sum?" He questioned his friend about how he was supposed fix this.

"Why do I have to tell you whether or not to fix things with her? You should know what you need to do." Ganke expressed shaking his head, he was getting tired of his friend's bullshit.

━━━━THE CURLY HAIRED girl gently slammed the car door after she finished grabbing her things from the passenger seat.

"Thank you so much for tonight and for dropping me off." [Y/N] started, warmly smiled at her best friend. She was glad that she always had her friend by her side no matter what.

Aniya ran to [Y/N's] side and pulled her into a tight hug before pulling away. "Of course, Y/N. Ugh I love you so much you don't even knowww."

"Ughh I love you too girl, you're my one and only." [Y/N] expressed, she liked this, she liked being safe and happy around her friend. Even after everything happened.

"[Y/N], you should probably get inside. You know yo momma don't play like that if she catch you I won't be speaking to you anytime soon."

She suddenly realized that it was pretty late and needed to make her way inside the house. [Y/N] chuckled playfully at her friends comment. "Okay. ." She said as she prepared to leave.

"[Y/N]! Make sure you keep your phone on though! I'll text you." Aniya went on. "Okay I will!" [Y/N] replied back to her friend before soon making her way back to her house.

Aniya watched as she walked, making sure that she got into the house safely before going back to the driver's seat.

Y/N walked up to her halfway before getting a notification from her phone. She stopped in her tracks and pulled out her phone to find a notification from Instagram.

Unlocking her phone, she was met to found out that Tyler posted a new story. She rolled her eyes at this and sigh at it but still being curious about it.

Opening the story it showed a picture of Maria and Tyler kissing...

" 'It's not what you think.' They said.."She rolled her eyes again and said in a sarcastic manner. She was honestly irritated by the fact that they both went behind her back again, but she wasn't going to let it ruin her mood

[Y/N] exited the story and continued walking up the stairs towards the entrance of her house.
