"You can't run from me!" It yells behind me.

I can sure try. I'm done with him. I was stupid. I can't believe I hurt my own family. I can't believe I've done that. I grip myself. I've made the biggest mistake of my life. What was I thinking? If I ever lived through this, I have to apologize for almost killing everyone I care about.

I take a pause. I breathe. Blood drips from my hand onto the floor. Ow. I hear it coming back. I hear something shoot at me. I slice it open. I hear it yelp. It draws back. I feel it surrounding me. I feel the shadows.

"Can we just like not do this?" I ask.

It slaps me with its tail. I get thrown back. 

"Ow. I guess not." I stand up. 

It comes at me again.

"Get out of me!" I slash it.

I can't keep fighting this. My breath quickens. I grip my chest. I'm losing blood and energy. 

"Tio Bruno!" I hear a yell.

I look up. I see Mirabel. A very golden version. She reaches her hand to me. I want to take it. I want to be free from this demon. I reach for her hand.
