Virgil watched his brother from the moon. He care about his brother, even if he felt outcasted by the light prince.

He felt his heart ache as he watched his brother enter the castle yet again. "How my deeds haunt me as time stretches on.. How could have such violence been sown? Oh, rest easy now; the punishments mine... The weight of the crimes are me own.. "

Virgil wanted to comfort his brother but he could only watch as the young man cried himself to sleep again. "Yet into the stillness you sang me your song. With your voice, my company kept. For your tired eyes and sweet lullabies, in exile I pay you my debt..."

He chuckled as he covered his older brother up. The young Prince of darkness kissed his older brothers forehead and left the room to do his duties. He watched the boy sleep peacefully and a lone tear rolled down his face.

"Once did a prince who shone like the stars look out on his kingdom and sighed. Dishearted he cried, "Surely there is nobody who loves me, or cares for my sacred night sky"! So great was his pain that he rose in rebellion against those who cared for him so..." Virgil didn't want to look back on those horrible memories but that's all he could do.

He stood on the balcony outside his room. Tears streamed down his face as he rose the moon. What was the point in doing your job if no one gave you credit for it?
He hated it. No one appreciated him. Not even his own brother cared about him!

Virgil wiped the tears away quickly and continued to watch from the moon. "His darkness embraced everybody he loved and threatened to shroud them in shadow and snow. Sleep, Prince of Sunlight; goodnight brother mine. Rest now in starlight's embrace."

He took a shaky breath. He knew it was his fault. Maybe if he had just talked to Roman about it, the older brother could've helped him! "May this lullaby see you through sleep and ease you your passage days. May my apologies find you tonight and may, too, my sorrows in kind."

He blocked out his brother. Avoiding him and pushing his away whenever he tried to hang out with him. His behavior drastically changing; but his brother took no notice.

Virgil smiled a little as he thought about his brother. "Roman, you loved me more than I knew. Forgive me for being so blind.."

Eventually he gave up the struggle and let the darkness consume him. He no longer had control over his mind.

His smile vanished as he teared up more. He could see his brother's dreams and choked back a sob. "Soon did his brother do what was so needed and gave the darkness his due. He silenced harmony, saving is people, and banished the monster, as rulers must do. And such is the weight of the crown we must wear..."

He saw his brother struggle to bring up the moon the first time he used his magic for the night. He wanted to help but couldnt; he was stuck in the moon.

"

Brother-duties we always uphold. May you forgive me for all my sins and please let your heart not be hardened by cold. Sleep, Prince of Sunlight;goodnight brother mine. Rest now in starlight's embrace." Virgil sang quietly. He was getting sleepy himself. "May this soft lullaby see you through sleep and you are you your passage days. May my apologies find you tonight and may, too, my sorrow kind."

He yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Roman, you loved me more than I knew. May troubles be far from your mind and forgive me for being so blind.  The years now before us, empty and forlorn. I never imagined we'd face them all alone.."

He felt cold. The area around him was empty and lonely. He wanted to go home where it was warm and safe.

"May these thousand winters swiftly pass, I pray. I love, I miss you all these miles away. May all your dreams be calm tonight there upon your throne of sunlight and know not of coldness, fear, nor gloom and when I dream, I'll fly away and meet you soon."

He cried silently. The fear of loneliness and pain striking him as he grew tired. The young Prince rubbed his eyes and began to fall asleep.

"Sleep..." He felt his eyes grow heavy. "Sleep..." He began to fall asleep, his eyes closing all the way. "Sleep..."
