Summer has come and passed

The Innocent can never last

Wake me up when September ends

Roman stood in horror at the sight of his love on the ground covered in blood. A knife stuck in his chest. "No! Nonononono! Why?!" He did his best to choke back the sobs as he rushed over to his fiance's side. His tears landed on Virgil's pale face. Roman wiped them off his cold skin and stayed  next to the body as the ambulance took him away minutes later.

Seven years has gone so fast

The police took him in for questioning, but soon decided that Roman wasn't the murderer and released him. Logan and his husband, Patton, comforted their friend. Roman locked himself in his room for the rest of the month, only coming out to eat and use the bathroom.

Here comes the rain again

Falling from the stars

Drenched in my pain again

Becoming who we are

It rained the night before Virgil's funeral. Roman stood out in the downpour wearing Virgil's jacket, the blood stain faded but was still there but not as bad as before. Roman felt like he couldn't find happiness anymore. Virgil had been his happiness.

As my memory rests

He cried his heart out, not caring about who heard him sobbing. His tears and pain mixed in with the rain as he sobbed. "It should have been me! Why did it have to be you?!" He cried as he fell to his knees in the middle of the grass lawn. Patton ran out and tried to calm to poor prince down.

He covered his mouth to muffle the sobs as he saw Virgil in the casket. He has insisted that they put him in a black and purple hoodie and a purple shirt rather than a suite. "W-we were supposed to get m-married and get three c-cats. I was supposed to t-tease you about your eye shadow while you teased m-me about my prince outfit. . ." He whispered to the dead body of his fiance.

Roman couldn't stop the tears from flowing as he thought about what today was supposed to be. He was supposed to get married to Virgil but that plan had been killed. "Good morning my love." He mumbled, looking over at the empty side of the bed. Roman sighed and continued to cry silently.

He placed a boutique of black roses on Virgil's grave, as well of the wedding ring he was supposed to give him. "I miss you Virge. . .I don't know how I'll keep going like this. . ." His voice cracked slightly. Roman pulled the jacket around him tighter, Virgil's scent still on it despite it being washed.

Roman entered the dark, lonely house. It wasn't home to him anymore, not without Virgil there. "I-I'll be with you soon my love. . ." Roman whispered as he searched for a sharp object. He didn't care what object he was, he just needed something to kill himself.

He found his samurai sword hidden under Virgil's side of the bed and picked it up. Tears of pain and guilt filled his eyes. He knew Virgil wouldn't want him doing this, yet he couldn't live without his emo nightmare. "I'm coming Virge."

Roman put the tip of the sword to his chest where is heart is. His hands shook violently as he tried to not think about the action. Just as he was about to make the move, a voice and a pair of arms stopped him.

"Don't do it Ro," The voice said. Roman recognized it as Virgil's. He broke down as his fiance comforted him. "I'll never leave you again, my prince. I promise." He rubbed Roman's back and let the other cry is shattered heart out.
