Chapter 5

***So sorry for not updating in forever. Here's another chapter so hopefully you're happy with it:)***

Jack busted into my room as I was changing.

"Someone stole the Pearl!" he yelled angrily, not even caring that I was in my undergarments.

"Can we deal with this after I'm dressed?" jack looked at me, just now realizing how indecent I was dressed and walked out. I hurriedly clothed myself and walked downstairs where the innkeeper was serving breakfast. Miss Bryers, the innkeeper, was talking with Jack.

"She's with child. You see, her husband was brutally murdered..." So that's why he was okay with me being pregnant. Sympathy. I cleared my throat before they turned to me.

"Oh my dear girl, should you be out of bed in your condition?" Miss Bryers asked, concerned.

"I'm fine, really. The baby won't be here for awhile." Miss Bryer's ushered Jack and I to the table and set oatmeal in front of us.

"Eat up. Remember, you're eating for two now." I rolled my eyes before digging in. We finished eating in about an hour before heading to the doc. Sure enough, The Black Pearl was gone.

"do you want me to get it back?" I asked and Jack nodded. I said the spell and slowly the Pearl came back to us along with twenty other people. They looked surprised, to say the least.

"You shouldn't have stolen my ship," Jack said in a mocking voice, but it still scared them.

"So where's your captain?" The men pointed to a guy that was slowly and dramatically making his way towards us. When he got up front, I recognized who it was.

"Dad?" Jack said in disbelief beside me.

"Hello, kids." Looking at him, flashbacks came flooding back.

"Now Rosalie, what's a pirate's worse fear?"

"Getting caught."

"Why is that?" my father asked.

"Because pirates have to be free and out onto the ocean."

"That's right. Now, raise your sword." I raised my sword just like he did.

"Don't hesitate, ever. That is the most important thing. One little second of hesitation could cost you your life. Try to land a blow, now." I swung my sword out clumsily before my father blocked it.

"That was terrible. Try it again." Again and again I swung but was always blocked.

"What am I doing wrong?" I cried out in frustration. This was hard on a six year old, you know.

"Swing from above, not below and don't jab unless you're baiting your opponent." I did what he said resulting in cutting his sleeve.

"Good job, Rosalie. If you keep practicing, you could become the greatest pirate that ever lived."

"Even better than Davy Jones?" I asked enthusiastically.

"Yes, even better than Davy Jones. Probably prettier too."

I was brought to the present when dad spoke up.

"How about we go talk at the pub down the street?"

*

"So what brings you here?" dad asked, causing Jack and I to look at each other with uncertainty.

"Come on, I'm not going to tell anyone." I sighed.

"We came to get William and the chest," I spoke quietly.

"Ah, well they're still there. I can take you if you like."

"No, we're fine," Jack said quickly and I stifled a laugh.

"Okay then. You'd better go before it get's too late." Jack and I said quick goodbyes and rented a carriage.

*

We made it there by sunset even with me stopping to puke every five minutes. As soon as I got out of the carriage, William came running towards me.

"Aunt Rosalie!" he yelled as I embraced him into a hug. We came in after our reunion, where my mother was waiting. I told William to go away-nicely-before sitting down to talk.

"We're here to get William and the chest," I said bluntly.

"Is there anything else?" she asked. I shook my head but Jack nodded.

"Your little Rosie here is pregnant." Just for added effect, Jack patted my stomach. I looked up at my mom who wore a blank expression.

"It was going to be sooner or later but I would have preferred it after you were married." I looked away again, ashamed. Mom stood up, clearing her throat.

"Let's go to sleep since I expect that you'll be up early tomorrow."
