Jungkook's eyes blazed bright yellow, Jimin twirled his sharp dagger in his hand, Taehyung growled with bared teeth, and Yoongi pointed his sword right at the man in white.

"Please, please I come in peace!" The man said, holding up his hands right away. He smiled blindingly as though there was no evil in this world, and carefully got off his knees. "I mean no harm..."

Jungkook perked one of his brows. "Tell that to your friends hiding in the bushes."

The stranger dressed in white chuckled and nodded. "Of course, of course, they were just a safety precaution. EVERYONE, COME OUT OF YOUR HIDING SPOTS!"

Twenty or so men and women, also dressed in white gowns, came out of hiding spots behind trees, bushes or up in the treetops.

"Tell them to drop their weapons," Jungkook said, his eyes burning a little brighter.

The man smiled broadly again. "Eh- yes, EVERYONE, UNARM YOURSELF!"

The men and women simeoultaneously dropped their their bows, arrows and swords and let them clatter into the snow.

The companionship held their aggresive stance for a bit longer, but eventually Jungkook decided to trust the people in white, and let his eyes dissolve back to normal.

"Jimin, put your dagger away," he mumured, tapping the prince's butt.

Jimin snapped his head up at Jungkook in outrage. "But-"

"They have dropped their weapons and so should we. We won't kill people who come in peace."

Jimin's lips curled down in displeasure, but he reluctantly did as Jungkook said.
Taehyung and Yoongi stood down as well, though the red lion stayed in it's menacing form, it's yellow eyes squinted around with distrust.

"Who are you?" Jungkook asked, standing up straighter. "What do you want?"

The people in white gathered together behind their supposed leader, who still carried a smile so wide it seemed to hurt. "My name, is Jung Hoseok, dear Chosen One. I am a seer and priest of the temple of Apollo. These are my followers. We all have awaited your arrival, and feel blessed by your presence.

Jungkook blinked. "Huh?"

"They're lying," Jimin whispered, snatching his dagger from his belt again. "Let's kill them."

Jungkook sighed and grabbed Jimin tightly by the arm to stop the man from doing anything. "I'm sorry but... did you just call me the Chosen One?"

The man called Jung Hoseok, looked Jimin up and down with an unnerved expression, but then looked back at Jungkook with his broad smile. "Yes of course! You are here to save us. To end our darkness! You are the Chosen One."

Jungkook frowned, carefully looking back at Yoongi and Taehyung, who both seemed to have lost some of their hostility. "What do you think?" He asked Yoongi, trusting the man's people knowledge.

The king of The Styx nodded. "They're from the temple of Apollo. Those freaks are the only ones who still worship the gods in the way the people used to... before the wars."

Jungkook raised his eyebrows. He'd never known there were people who didn't hate the gods. "So you guys... don't want to kill me?" He asked just to make sure.

The priest's eyes still crinkled. "Why of course not! You and your companionship have been expected for months. We have prepared a welcoming feast and a large buffet."

Taehyung perked up at the mention of food, his pupils growing twice in size and his tail wagging like that of a dog's.

"Months? The sun hasn't been gone for that long," Yoongi said. "Are you telling me you cunts knew all of this would happen and you stayed silent?"

"It is not my place to intervene with the Gods," the seer said, speaking as though he was meant for a stage. "I may be blessed with sight but I only observe and guide. I knew you all would find your way here, and you have."

"Well in any case... that feast can wait." Jungkook said with his hands on his sides. "I need to visit the temple and talk to my father."

"Your father... right," The seer said, his eyes losing some of the genuineness behind his blinding smile. "Dear Chosen One, how about you walk with me as we make our way to the temple?"

After being guided through a thin maze of trees, the traveling group of four was lead to the hills that surrounded the temple. White tents were set up like camps around the impressive structure, and strings of yellow lanterns lead them down a squiggly path.

The temple of Apollos was beautiful.

The building wasn't like anything Jungkook had seen before. It felt as though the giant temple itself was speaking to him, letting him know that he had finally made it home and that he could stop running. The feeling made the demigod tear up a little, and he wondered how amazing it would've been if his brother could have been by his side to see it.

"We set up camp here to meet you, since your father asked me so." The seer explained, trudging through the snow with his hands behind his back.

Jungkook nodded and listened carefully to the man. "My father speaks to you?"

"Yes, he did," the seer said, showing off his pearly white teeth.

Jungkook hummed, a little lost in thought. "I'm excited to finally meet him. I mean... he sort-of lead me to the best thing in my life right now..."

"What might that be, if I may ask?"

Jungkook chuckled with a bashful smile on his face, glancing over his shoulder to see Jimin walk a few feet behind him, glaring at the robed men and women around them from the corner of his eyes.

"Ah," the seer said shortly. "The prince?"

Jungkook nodded, staring at the ravenhaired prince a little longer before turning back to the seer. "Yes... my father showed him to me in my visions. I believe we're meant to be."

"I see..." the seer said, bending his lips into a smile that revealed his dimples. "What else did your visions show you?"

Jungkook shrugged. "Flashes of the sun... a war, a bubbling puddle of black tar? Many things that I just... can't seem to put together logically."

The seer was about to speak, but before he could open his mouth, prince Kim Taehyung jumped up off the ground high enough to fly right across the sky for a moment.

The ground shook when the giant lion landed in the snow, and he excitedly sprinted toward one of the bigger tents with his toungue hanging out of his muzzle.

"So, I take it that's where the buffet is?" Yoongi asked with a fond smile, running after the red lion as fast as his legs could take him.

The seer nodded. "It is. You all must be starving. Please, help yourself."

Jungkook glanced at the tent but hardly seemed interested. "I'd rather go to the temple right away."

Thats when Jimin came up to Jungkook, and latched on to the man's hand.

"Let's eat first," he said. "Your father isn't going anywhere."

"Jimin, I've waited for this my entire-"

"Please?"

Jimin looked up at Jungkook through his lashes, and the demigod admitted his defeat.

"Alright," he said with a sigh. "Let's eat first."

______________

The robed community danced to the music played by the lyre, aulos and salpinx instruments like their lives depended on it. They laughed under the warm lights of the lanterns in the tent, and drank wine until their feet grew minds of their own.

Even Taehyung and Yoongi had joined the dancing crowd after Taehyung had dragged the king to the dance floor, and they were now spinning in circles hand in hand, bouncing excitedly to the music.

"This place really feels like home somehow," Jungkook said as he and Jimin were seated at a long table in front of the dancers. The two had one large plate of fish and meat between them to share, but even though Jimin had asked the demigod to eat with him in the first place, he hadn't touched the food.

"Jungkook..." Jimin began. "I... I can't -"

The prince was abruptly interrupted when the demigod shoved a chicken leg into his mouth with a cheeky grin. "I can't remember the last time I saw you eat. Chew first, talk after."

Jimin glared at the demigod, tearing the flesh off the bone and throwing it back on the plate. "Jungkook, I need to leave. We both know I don't belong here..."

"What do you mean."

"You know what I mean. We can't beat around the bush any longer."

A silence fell, and Jimin grew annoyed at the demigod's passiveness. He wanted to lash out at the man, he wanted to scream at him to finally make up his mind about the path he was going to choose, but right when he opened his mouth, Jungkook cupped the prince's face with two hands.

"Jimin, close your eyes," he whispered, connecting their foreheads. "Listen to my breath. Listen to yours... listen to us. How alive we are, how healthy, how in love. We could leave this all behind when this darkness is over. We could find our own place, away from your brother, away from the kingdom..."

Jimin released a shuddering breath, a tear dripping down his cheek. "Jungkook... it's too late."

"It's not," Jungkook murmured against Jimin's skin, pressing soft kisses against the prince's jawline. "It's never too late. My brother once asked me to find something worth fighting for. He wanted me to find a purpose and it's you, Jimin. It's fine, the bad things. We can forget all about those and start over."

Jimin looked up, feeling his eyes burn. "I've murdered people, Jungkook."

"I know."

"Many people."

"I know that."

"Women and children too."

Jungkook took a deep breath, but he still nodded and whispered into Jimin's ear. "It's okay."

Jimin smiled with tears in his eyes and shook his head. "It's not though, is it?" The prince leaned away. "Jungkook you're not thinking straight. If you didn't love me you'd kill me."

"I would never hurt you, Jimin."

"What if you had to choose between me and the world?"

"You are my world."

Jimin's eyes fluttered.

"And if I am yours..." Jungkook said, reaching out to pet the man's hair. "Why would you need anything else?"

Jimin turned his head away. "You don't understand," he mumbled. "I need to achieve greatness..."

"Because of how your father treated you?" Jungkook asked. "Jimin he's gone! Forget him, forget your brother, forget the kingdom. Focus on this..."

The demigod took Jimin's small hand and placed it against the prince's chest, right on top of his heart. "What does it long for most?"

The prince swallowed thickly, biting on the inside of his lip. The demigod had turned the tables on him so quickly he couldn't even tell when he'd been driven into this corner. Why was it now his turn to choose?

"I'm gonna go get us a bottle of wine, and after we finish that, I'm going to visit the temple, alright?" Jungkook placed a kiss to Jimin's cheekbone, and winked at the prince. "Perhaps when I'm back, we could find a nice remote place in the forrest and... have some alone time?"

Jimin gulped, staring at Jungkook with wide eyes when the demigod moved away with a smirk. The young demi-deity, had become self-assured. Confident, even. Jimin's gaze followed the blonde all the way to the other side of the tent where the wine bottles were kept, until something - or rather someone blocked his view.

"Prince Jimin, how's the food?"

It was the seer.

The man's smile took over half his face and Jimin wanted nothing more than to slap it right off.

"It's fine, thank you," he said, folding his arms across his chest.

The seer nodded, and then he lingered as though Jimin hadn't made it clear that he did not appreciate the man's existence.

The seer sat down on the table, and Jimin straightened up.

"There is a war raging on inside of you... isn't there boy?"

The prince stared up at the seer with trembling pupils. "What?"

"I can feel it... you're torn." The seer went on. "On one side... you have exactly what you longed for so deeply before power fell in your reach, and on the other side... you find yourself so different from that romantic, hopeful person you once were."

Jimin's lips twitched, and he leaned forward with squinted eyes. "What do you think you know about me you fraud?"

The seer's smile dropped, and he began to look more serious. "I think I see a smart young man... with so much anger stored inside of him that it's almost eating him alive. I see a boy, who is trying to live up to impossible standards. I see a scared soul, buried underneath layers of guilt, shame and regret."

With each word the seer spoke, Jimin's strong demeanor became more hostile. "Shut up," he spat. "How dare you mind my business?"

"I have been praying for you, prince. Praying that you would find a way to save your heart and allow light to shine onto your darkness. My boy, being on top will mean nothing, if you're there all alone. Please, hold on to the humanity within you... before you've killed it."

Jimin's eyes fluttered, and then he abruptly got off his seat, stumbling off his balance for a second. "F-fuck you," the prince said through gritted teeth, feeling completely disoriented as he tried to find the exit of the tent.

"Prince Jimi-"

The prince snatched his dagger from his belt and pointed it at the seer's throat. "Stay the fuck back," he said sharply, backing out of the tent. "Stay away from me!"

Jungkook had found himself tangled up in a conversation with a bunch of very kind women on the other side of the tent, but frowned when he heard Jimin's voice reach above the music.

He turned around just in time to catch the prince running away from the seer, and left the women in a heartbeat.

"Jimin?" He called worriedly, though the seer came up to the demigod and placed his hand against his chest to stop him from chasing after the prince. "He needs a moment... he will be fine. We need to talk, Chosen One."

Jungkook tore his eyes away from the exit of the tent.

"It is time..."
