Segment 22

Meerab and Murtasim returned home after a blissful journey, their hearts brimming with memories of the picturesque landscapes and romantic moments they had shared. As they stepped into their familiar surroundings, a comforting sense of belonging enveloped them.

It was 6 in the evening when they approached Khan mension. Hd came out of the car first and headed towards her side to open the car door for her. Her heart filled with a kind of happiness and anticipation seeing him caring about her.

As they entered in the mension maa begum welcomed both of them with a warm smile. Marium came downstairs runningly and pulled Meerab into her embrace.

"I missed you so much bhabi", she chirped hugging her.

"Me too", Meerab exclaimed.

They broke the hug. Maa begum suggested them to take some rest before dinner. They nodded and walked towards the living room followed by marium, who was  looking excited and anxious to listen about their trip.Marium showered them with thousands of her questions.

After dinner, they headed towards their bedroom, surrounded by the warmth of familiar furniture and cherished mementos.

Silently walking towards their walking closet she grabbed onto a simple plain pink suit. After changing she sat infront of the mirror to apply moisturizer.

He entered in the room with hesitation. The air was filled with a different kind of tension. He cleared his throat to catch her  attention. Ignoring his presence she continued with her skin care routine.
He walked towards the dressing table and took the com in his hands.

He pull the hairstick from her hairs, causing her long shiny hairs falling on her back. With help of the comb he started to detangling her hairs. She was amazed yet shocked for a moment. Their eyes meet through the mirror.

"Yeh kya kar rahe ho?", she asked.

"Baal bandh raha hun", he uttered focusing his eyes on her hairs.

"Tumhein aati bhi hai?", she asked again.

"Umm... Haan thoda thoda", he replied.

A wave of oldest childhood memories wash over her. She still remember how he used to make braid with her short hairs. It's a nostalgia for both of them.

"Tumhein yaad hai maine ekbar tumhare Baal'on par chewing chipka di thi", he exclaimed with a chuckle.

"Haan haan, phir toh baba Saab ki pitai bhi yaad hogi tumhein?", she Uttered slightly narrowing her eyes towards him.

Securing the braid with the help of rubberband he walked towards his side of the the bed.

"If you don't mind would you like to share the bed with me?", he asked. His eyes are fixed with hers.

Her lips parted.

"Please mana mat karna"

She nodded.

As the night wove its magic, Meerab and Murtasim found themselves drifting into dreams, carrying the essence of their shared moments.

Murtasim, his gaze lingering on Meerab, spoke softly, "Remember our first bicycle ride? The excitement and uncertainty?"

Meerab chuckled, "How could I forget? The way you hurt me that time. It feels like a lifetime ago."

As they reminisced, the memories painted a vivid picture of their childhood. Murtasim continued, "And now, every corner of this place holds stories. It's become a testament to our growth, hasn't it?"

Meerab nodded, "Absolutely. It's not just a home; it's a living story book of our childhood. Every piece of furniture, every photo on the wall, it's all a chapter."

The soft glow of the night seemed to amplify their connection. Murtasim, with a tender smile, confessed, "You make even the ordinary extraordinary. Like tonight – a simple conversation feels like poetry."

Meerab's eyes sparkled, her cheeks flushed red. She lowed her gaze with a shy smile.

"I .... I mean...", she tried to speak but failed.

In the embrace of their shared dreams, Meerab and Murtasim continued their dialogue, their hearts echoing the sentiment that, in the quiet of the night, their love would always find a voice.

As the night deepened, Meerab and Murtasim found themselves in the tranquil realm between wakefulness and dreams. Murtasim, with a gentle whisper, expressed, "Don't ever think that I'm not with you okay. I'm always there for you no matter what is happening here"

Meerab, tracing patterns on his palm, shared, " I know you will be there for me. Cause you're the best"

Murtasim chuckled, "And you, are the artist who brings vibrancy to each moment. Even the mundane becomes a stroke of brilliance when you're around."

Meerab grinned, "I could say the same about you. Your presence turns the ordinary into something magical."

In the embrace of their shared dreams, Murtasim asked, "What do you wish for us in the days to come?"

Meerab pondered for a moment, "More adventures, more shared secrets, and a layer of trust that continues to deepen. I wish for a future where our hearts remain intertwined, no matter what life unfolds."

Murtasim's eyes sparkled, "I second that wish, and I add the promise to stand by you, to cherish and support you in every chapter of our life."

As they exchanged vows of love in the quietude of the night, the moon painted a silvery glow across their room. Meerab and Murtasim, wrapped in the cocoon of their shared hopes, surrendered to the gentle embrace of sleep, knowing that the dawn would bring a new canvas for their love story to unfold.

******
As the first rays of sunlight gently kissed the room, Meerab stirred, her eyes slowly opening to the soft glow of morning. She turned to find Murtasim already awake, a tender smile on his face.

"Good morning," he whispered, his voice carrying the warmth of a new day.

Meerab returned the smile, "Good morning murtasim"

He admired her face with a gentle smile.

"Kya dekh rahe ho?", she asked.

"Nothing"

Without Uttering anything she stepped towards the closet and took her clothes then entered the bathroom to take a bath.

He was Still sitting there like a maniac.

After some times when she walked out of the washroom wearing a blue anarkali kurti, he was mesmerized by her beauty.
He just can't help but gulped.

Her wet hairs are cascading her face perfectly. Her juicy pink lips, inviting him. He want to kiss her very badly. Her doe eyes looking at him and her nose ring. She looks even more beautiful with that nose ring.

"I would like to gift you thousands of this kind of nose ring", he Muttered in his breath.

"Kuch kaha?", she asked.

"Nothing"

He goes to take a bath and she started combing her hairs.

He walk out of the washroom wearing a light blue shirt along with grey pants. Setting his moustaches and hairs he noticed that she's not here.

He goes downstairs and saw that she was talking to Marium about something.

"Assalamualaikum maa Saab", h greeted his mother.

"Walaikum assalam", maa begum replied.

His salam caught her attention. Their eyes meet for a minute. Her cheeks flushed red like rose Patel's. He smiled lightly.

"Kaise ho murtasim?", haya asked placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Thik hun", he replied slapping her hand from his shoulder.

"Nashta nhi karoge tum? Chai laun tumhare liye?", haya asked with a smile.

"Mujh....", he opened his mouth to say something but meerab interrupted,

"Uski biwi yahan maujood hai tumhein fikar karne ki zarurat nhi hai".

He smiled at this gesture of Meerab.
Haya's expressions changed. Like, she just fell on the group from the ninth sky.

"Tum toh khadi khadi baat kare jaa rahi ho. Yeh nhi ke murtasim se chai ka puch lo", haya spat.

"Yeh Mera kaam hai, main jab marzi karun. Tum mere sohar se dur raho", Meerab said in a warning Tone.

Haya stomped on her feets and left the place after giving a manhoos expression.
