Chapter Three: Dealing With The Distance

"Cheers to enjoying life," Jordyn said as she, Jennie, and Rosé raised their drinks.

Jordyn had invited Rosé and Jennie out for drinks after running into them at Paris Fashion Week back in September. Rosé and Jordyn had gotten close because they are both dating basketball players.

And Jordyn is a part of the small inner circle that knows Derrick and Rose are dating as Rosé and Derrick want to keep their relationship private from the public as it can severely affect Rosé's career.

"Cheers," Jennie said.

"Cheers," Rosé said.

They each took a sip of their drinks before putting them down on the table.

"So, what's been going on?" Jordyn asked Rosé.

"Um, you know I got back from New York, and the renovations are done for the house here," Rosé answered.

"How are you feeling about moving to the west coast?" Jordyn asked Rosé.

"It's a great place. I can work from here. I feel like Derrick and I need to be together and spend time but traveling back and forth is a nightmare," Rosé responded.

"Yeah," Jordyn said.

"It's just a lot of unknowns right now for me," Rosé said.

"Yeah," Jennie said.

"So, it's hard," Rosé said.

"Is it hard because distance causes communication lapses?" Jennie asked Rosé.

"Yeah, it does, and I know he can't travel because his job is literally in one place, so I have to put more effort into making sure our relationship is solid," Rosé answered.

"Being a athletes' girlfriend is a lot of work," Jennie said.

"I think any high demanding jobs require the person's partner to put in a lot of work for their relationship," Jordyn said.

"I think it's the same with idols dating," Rosé said.

"Yeah," Jennie said.

"The distance is hard, but if you love someone, you will make it work," Jordyn said.

"For sure," Rosé said.

"Do you see yourselves getting married?" Jordyn asked Rosé and Jennie.

"I think I'm going to wait a year or two before I see myself getting married," Jennie answered.

"I do, and I want to have a baby," Rose answered.
