Chapter Fifty Seven: Tony

I watched Bucky place a little blonde boy on the guest room's bed. The boy had fallen asleep in Bucky's arms. He had cried himself to sleep and Bucky looked grim as he joined me outside the room.

"So. Who is that boy?" I asked softly.

Bucky ran a hand through his hair, sighing. "You know how Steve became a muscle man, right? Your father, Howard Stark, had invented a machine that would inject some serum into Steve's bloodstream and make him stronger. Well, Steve wasn't even that strong to begin with. He had slightly feminine features: thin arms and legs, short body, big, beautiful blue eyes, pale skin, and so on and so forth. This is the way he used to be before he got the serum, Tony. This is the little guy who I fell in love with on his first day in the army. The little kid from Brooklyn with asthma who was too stupid to run from a fight." Bucky replied softly. "Somehow that man, Talon, Fang's brother, took the serum right out of every single cell in his body."

I lifted a hand to my forehead. "Wow... And here I was thinking that Steve just got buff by working out by himself. But the kid-version of Steve is cute. Can I just stare at him? He's adorable as fuck." I announced. Bucky smiled a little bit and chuckled.

"He is, isn't he? No, don't stare at him. He's self-conscious about his appearance." Bucky said softly, dragging me away from the door. Peter appeared in the doorway, drinking what I was pretty sure didn't even count as coffee because of how much creamer and sugar was in it.

"Peter, if you are hyper at bedtime, I am kicking you out of the bedroom." I warned.

"Fair enough." Peter said, kissing my cheek on the way into the living room where Fang was watching Jamie play blind people video games. Fang looked stressed and he wore his headphones, trying to drown out all the issues in life, no doubt. I had to do the same thing most of the time. I sat down next to him with Peter on my other side.

I put a hand on the silver-haired teen's shoulder. He looked at me, pulling his headphones down onto his shoulders. I gave him a slight smile.

"Everything is going to be okay, kid. Steve is fast asleep right now, but at least he's still alive. How did that jackass have such strong magic?" I asked.

Fang took a deep breath and cleared his throat. "He's from hell's domain. I'm a fallen angel, so I have some strong magic too, but I can't affect how I look like he can. Talon...can appear however he wants or as whomever he wants. He uses that to scare people into doing terrible things. I can't imagine how Bucky and Steve saw him, but I see my female self with a wicked, haunting smile who asks 'why didn't you want to be me? Fang, didn't you want me?' It is hard to love my brother with how he looks to me." Fang said, closing his eyes. He held his hand up. Black energy crackled on the surface of his hand and he spread out his fingers, casting an illusion of my Iron Man suit.

I studied how intricate the illusion was. It mimicked a more advanced version of my current suit. "I might need your help in the lab, kid. This...is amazing. So much more advanced." I said. Fang made the illusion disappear.

"I know Thor and Loki used to hate each other with a strong passion. Well..." Fang trailed off. "Talon hates me more than Loki hated Thor."

"I didn't think that was possible." Peter announced. Fang smiled bitterly.

"Oh, it's possible, Peter." Fang said darkly. "I have a feeling that Talon is mainly focused on destroying Bucky from the inside. I read Bucky's mind and apparently he had a flashback and almost killed Steve yet again and then Steve shrank back down to the weak little guy that he was, which pissed Bucky off because Bucky enjoyed having a strong man to help him." Fang sighed. "But I haven't a clue what Talon's next move is going to be."

"That's not good." Jamie announced from where he was, playing blind Legend of Zelda.
