I made Kamiko. Sorry if she looks a little weird.
~Kamiko Pov.~
My body shook, as I coughed, my ringed purple eyes opening quickly. Scanning around the white shining room. Tubes stuffed into my nose. I moved my hand as best as I could, no pain was felt as I ripped the tubes out of my nose. Why am I not feeling it... My hand hovered in front of my face, clear with bruises. It was all blurry, but my rinnegan eyes helped me to see. I was in, something like a hospital. I was laying down on my back in a white colored bed. My throat was dry, but not so that I needed water.
I pushed myself upward, getting a better view of the decently sized room. I moved my head, peering out from the window that was stationed at my bedside. There was nothing I recognized. I could see some trees, but they looked nothing like any of the trees I've seen before. There was this dark, path like thing, with steel stuff moving on them like wagons. I was above the ground, and it was a large building. So many lofty buildings surrounded this place.
I pressed myself against the window, trying to get a better look outside, the sun was shining bright, only a few clouds in sight. Flowers were blooming. The cool glass pressed against my skin as I stared in awe. Not used to seeing the sun, and all these other wonderful things, due to me being cooped up in Amegakure, and hidden bases most of my life. This really was a different world. It had almost nothing in common with the ninja world that was ruled by hatred which I came from.
I could make out figures scurrying around, they must be other people. Since I should be inside some sort of medical facility, a hospital, that means there should be some way to contact a nurse, or a doctor, someone who works here. But I was covered in bandages, and some were on the bed, implying that I accidentally took some off.
Other than the bed, the tube steel thing that connected to the tubes, the window next to the bed, near the doorway out of the room, which was toward my left. There were two chairs, a small bag in one, and a decently sized box in the other. Next to it was a counter top with a sink built in. The floors look to be some sort of rock like, flooring. The walls were almost definitely made with concrete, even though they were painted white to give it the appeal that there is more space. On another side of the wall was another door. Which I assumed to be the bathroom.
I swung my legs off the side of the bed. More bandages covering my legs. It felt like all my energy was drained, but there was no way I'm going to stay in a place that I don't know anything about, not to mention, they obviously changed by outfit. I was in a thigh length light blue gown, that was opened in the back. I could barely walk, so I grabbed onto my bed. Just as a knock from the other side of the door echoed through the room.
I stepped back a bit, not expecting it. Stumbling back as the door knob turned, I hopped into the bed, pulling the covers close to me. "Oh dear..." A soft female voice spoke. Calling out, in worry yet in disappointment. "Is she still not awake?" The voice questioned someone else, a deeper tone of voice interrupted the supposed ladies sigh. "No, she's awake, she was just surprised." The voice was kind, and gentle, but masculine. Knowing that my cover was blown, I first made sure that I didn't have my rinnegan activated, before my ruby eyes met the figures of the two people.
I could understand them perfectly fine, but I'd be the one putting up a language barrier, I probably speak a different language from them.
The first one was a young lady, probably around the age of thirty two, she had short black hair, tied back into a bun, and chocolate brown eyes. She wore a aqua tunic and pants that match. The man however had short choppy dark brown hair and light blue eyes. He wore something like a long white jacket, pants and a shirt being tucked into the pants.
"Hello, may I ask who you are?"
The first question floated in the air for a while as I decided what to say, if I should say my real name or come up with a fake one to hide my identity or something like that.
"My name is Kami..."
Before I could finish the nurse gasped and locked eyes with the doctor. "She speaks another language! Isn't Kami what Japanese people call their god?!" The man nodded, seemingly fascinated by me. "But it doesn't sound exactly the same. Something's different. Perhaps a more dated version of Japanese." The man spoke, he had gotten it correct. "My name is Kamiko!" I shouted, trying to break their conversation. "What did she say?" The lady questioned, her eyebrows furrowing and tilting her head to the side. "I believe she said her name is Kamiko. I am a little rusty, but I did learn how to speak Japanese."
"Who are you? Where am I?"
I spoke, trying to sound kind. The man shifted, his eyes shifting around before he nodded. "I am Doctor Kim, and this is Nurse Oreo Orion." I moved my head up in down, nodding. "And you're in Hermire Hospital." Where am I? I don't know where this is. It really truly did work. This isn't a dream right? I noticeably frowned as I continued to speak, "I have no clue where this is, I've never heard the... the title Hermire before in my life."
Doctor Kim's eye brows furrowed before reaching into his back pocket, getting out a note pad and some sort of a writing tool. He started writing stuff on the page, with Nurse Orion peering over his shoulder. "And what is your full name, Kamiko- Last name?" I shook my head, preparing to try to stand up again. "I have no last name." My soft voice filling the air as my foot touched the cold, hard ground. I leaned forward, almost falling, Nurse Orion running to my side and catching me. Why was I so drained?
"I see, well Miss Kamiko, we will send someone in to start teaching you Korean. I have gave you some heavy pain reviler due to your injuries. Scrapes and bruises, along with a fractured toe. Can you tell me where you are from?" I paused for a moment. They gave me some kind of medicine. Possibly not for me to feel pain. Nurse Orion pushed me back onto the bed, politely whispering a sorry before going back to Doctor Kim's side. I didn't respond to his question. How could I. How do you respond to a question like this when you're from somewhere else, not here, just. Somewhere else.
Doctor Kim hummed in annoyance as I didn't speak at all, jotting more things down in his notepad. "Alright, well Kamiko, I will be back soon." Nurse Orion smiled kindly at me as Doctor Kim talked, noting anything about my posture. Once he turned around, I shifted. My ruby orbs locking to the words on the page. I cant understand it. My ruby orbs faded away as they were replaced with the ringed purple of the rinnegan.
Now I could understand it.
It was a list, of possible conditions and information about me.
-Amnesia
-Speaks Japanese but understands Korean
-She believes her name is Kamiko
There were a few more notes, but, I really don't have a last name, my father's name was only Nagato, I could use my mothers, but, it pains me every time I hear it. Once they both left the room, closing the heavy door, I stood fully up, my legs not weakening to fall to the ground hopelessly. I turned the door knob and peeked outside. I was going to have to escape. Even if they're only trying to help. They know nothing about me, and I need to get out of here. There's only one way to get out of here almost fully unnoticed.
I closed the door again, switching what I assumed to be the lock. Rifling through the small bag, finding a with the akatsuki clouds carved into the back. A special Akatsuki ring that my father had made for me, it was so I could contact them, but only on full moons, and a ripped piece of an Akatsuki cloak. That was all that was in the bag. I hurriedly put the necklace and ring on. Tying my hair back with the ripped piece of cloth. Opening the box, there was a rose red sweater that revealed my shoulders, but also a undershirt that was black, and black skinny pants. I blocked the window to the best of my ability, dressing myself in the found clothes. Throwing away the pointless bandages. I had already healed.
Now to get out of here. I'd have to find one staff member isolated from the rest. I'd use the human path, of the rinnegan, to pull out their soul and scan all of the information they have. Then I could find a way to get out. Possibly I could loot them for their belongings and money that could help me survive. I'd still need somewhere to stay. I could live on the streets like my father did. But I need their form of currency, seeing as I have no clue what that could be. All I know of is Ryo.
I peeked my head out again. Spotting a lonesome nurse at the end of the hall, I let out a short sigh, before walking slowly and quietly over to her. My rinnegan giving me a aura of superiority, as I put my hand on her head. Kicking her in the back of the knees, ripping out her soul as she fell to the ground. The king of hell forming behind me, as I fed it the soul after scanning all the information that came to me. I had learned all I needed to know. I carried her body back to my room. Taking what I found necessary, like a wallet, keys, identifications, and her phone.
I grabbed the bag that was still on the chair, stuffing the items I had collected into the bag. I slid open the window, and jumped out, using chakra to hold onto the building with my bare feet, I started walking down, trying not to get noticed by anyone. From the information I had collected I learned that there were security camera's stationed along the building, especially near the exits. Luckily, where she was standing and the way back to my room was in the blind spot of the nearest security camera. Once my feet hit the dusty gravel feeling ground. I knew the pain relievers had gone away, I could feel small scratches on the bottom of my feet. But they'd all be gone due to my chakra, soon enough at least.
I hid behind a tree, out of view from the public. I turned on the phone, and went through the password that I had learnt from her. Erasing all of the data, I would turn this into my own. Maybe I could get some sort of messenger app and connect it to my ring so I could contact my father. Its at least worth a try, soon enough. Once I secure some food and water, and a small shelter. I could always go to the forest and create a small shack out of wood. So I started walking into town. No one noticed me, I didn't stand out despite my blazing red hair.
Eventually I stumbled into a less crowded portion of the town, but still bumping into a stranger. The phone that I was clutching in my hand still managed to fly out of my hand. I squeezed my eyes shut until I heard the stranger say something. His voice, wasn't normal. My ruby eyes met a light mint. "Just get up." Were all people here this rude. I suspect not, because of everyone else I've encountered were pretty respectful. I said nothing and just stood up. I silently cursed at myself. I needed to speak, and I only knew their language because of scanning through the nurse's memories. "Do you know where my phone is?" I questioned, my voice wavering slightly because of the words. He pointed behind me, "just get your stupid phone already." It looked as though he had some sort of leather jacket, a tattoo of an eye on his right shoulder, and some kind of red undershirt.
What did the nurse's memory say about people with this personality, that they were a tsundere or something. Either way I nodded, wrapping my hand around the phone. It had different feel. The boy, he switched the phones. I didn't care one bit though. I could easily take him down. I just carried on my merry way. Only turning on the phone once I was sure I was mostly alone. There was already a Messenger app installed.
Out of pure curiosity, I tapped the app. Green text filled the screen as a username of 'Unknown' came into view.
Unknown
...Hello...?
My finger hovered over the reply button. As I finally decided to click the button.
