Mew's POV.............

I never imagined I will became a part of super natural movie, practicing to get a new power that will help me defeat the evil and help innocent people, also to protect my partner who obviously is still blaming himself for getting me into this

I wish I could read his mind to know how to talk to him and make him stop blaming himself, Gulf doesn't realize that he saved my life with hat post, if I didn't find it, I would have continued with my life and then passed away 3 years from now

I was remembering memories from when I was younger and then the time I first met Gulf then I noticed that I don't know many things about him, he never talked about his family nor showed me any pictures of them, he also work from home and didn't seem like he has any friends, however I can't deny that I already trust him

The place was completely silent to the point that I can hear my own breathing, there was a certain smell in the air that reminded of a memory when I first starting to smell through the sight, it was the scent of his shampoo, I recall he was shopping choosing one, the one he chose has lavender aroma, it was calming and refreshing

Remembering this made me smile, this led me to remember the first time I could taste through the sight too, all memories seemed nice and amazing now, living a second life though someone else is actually great and is a wonderful experience in a way

I don't know if it's the affect of being linked or smth else, but I found myself getting along well with Gulf since the first time we started chatting, it's true I was scared before sending him a message but as soon as I did our conversation was smooth since the beginning

I don't know how much we stayed there but I felt tired changing my position, I couldn't feel or hear anything, I felt tired from concentrating so much, I laid back sighing

"I didn't know that too much focusing can be tiresome" I stated watching the ceiling

"neither do I, yet we still have to do this" I glanced to Gulf who also changed his position

"did you feel anything?"

"nothing, it's harder than I thought" I was only remembering what's been happening till today

"me too, I was recalling memories of my family and when we first met" Gulf blinked in surprise staring at me

"why did you say 'me too' ?" he asked making me confused

"you just said you were remembering what's been happening to you"

"did I say it out loud?"

"I clearly heard it"

"weird, oh well let's go back to training" I must work harder and become stronger

"why are you focused on becoming stronger?" Gulf jumped up stunned as I did the same confused looking at him

"now I'm so sure I didn't say that out loud, how did you know what I just thought?!" he asking shocking me

"I just heard you saying that" Gulf went silent for a minute

"is this it? Your power? Reading minds?" I got speechless

"it can't be, I felt nothing while focusing earlier"

"it could be that it casually came to you without you noticing, here let's try again" Gulf looked away for a moment then back to me

I think we should keep this a secret till you manage to control it

I was shocked, I clearly didn't see Gulf lips moving but I could hear his voice inside my head, as if he was talking straight to my brain

"you're right, we should definitely hide it" he smiled widely

"amazing! You are so amazing Mew, let's try it again but this time I will look away"

"why?"

"cause I think it's related to your sight sense"

"let's do it" Gulf turned around with his back facing me, we stood there in silence for a minute then he turned around

"so did you hear me?"

"no, nothing, just like you said, I will have to look to someone's face to be able to hear his thoughts" he smiled fascinated by my power

"you already found yours in one try, it took Elias many days to do so"

"what about you Gulf?" he went silent looking at me then he got close holding my hand

"nothing, I'm sure I will find it soon"

"that's the spirit, I will help you"

"you focus on controlling your power or it may cause you a headache if you get surrounded by many people reading their thoughts"

"you've got a point, let's do our best" Elias visited a while after and we told him we still couldn't feel anything, he encouraged us and gave us additional advices, we also started physical training a mixture of basic karate and boxing and some self defense moves

We kept doing this all day for about five days, Gulf unfortunately still didn't find his power and is getting impatient, he obviously was trying to get stronger for some reason and it's stressing him a lot, as for me I slowly managed to control my power and activate it when I want

"you did great Mew, it's time to tell others about yours" Gulf suggested, he kept helping me all this time, I'm really grateful for everything he is doing and his support but I feel useless since I couldn't do anything for him

"they may get scared and will start avoiding me"

"I'm sure it will be fine especially since you control it"

"alright" we firstly told Elias who was utterly surprised

"that's wonderful! I'm so glad I saved both of you, your power will help us a lot and can save many people"

"aren't you scared that I can read your thoughts?"

"not really I have nothing to hide besides you kept secretly training to control it right?"

"yes, I would feel bad if I suddenly read everyone thoughts without their permission"

"now I understand why you kept avert your eyes, you are a nice and great person Mew and Gulf don't be sad, maybe your power is even greater and takes more time to awaken"

"I will do my best" we also told everybody and they all very fascinated and accepted me right away, it feels so nice to be accepted by others, I kept accompanying Gulf during his training, thankfully he didn't give up and was working hard

"this is our plan to get Lan's partner, any questions?" Elias explained during a meeting

"I still didn't get my power, are you sure I can go with you too?" Gulf asked

"of course, we all need to be together from now on and help each other, besides we couldn't limit the place more than this so we need more members to look around, Lan's partner is also a middle schooler so we should only focus on them"

"I'm sorry I couldn't find much info" Lan apologized

"it's not your fault, let's work together to find her/him"

"when should we leave?"

"it take one hour and half to get there so we should leave by 4 in the morning, once we get there we should check each student going to middle school"

"how will we find them?" I asked

"you will feel it right away when to see a special person, it's smth that we also has to identify others similar to us even if they are not our partners, that's how I found Lan" the elderly man explained

"does anyone has smth to add or change about the plan?" Elias asked

"no, you did great coming with this one"

"well then we all should rest and sleep well today we will be waking up by 3 am and don't forget to wear a good disguise" we all agreed going to our rooms, I noticed Gulf looking restless

"you will be fine, nothing bad will happen if you stay together"

"I hope so, I also hope that we quickly find Lan's partner" the next day, we followed the plan arriving to our points around 6:30 am, the streets were still empty, me and Gulf were sitting by the edge of fountain looking as if we are waiting for someone

We stayed in contact using an earpiece looking around, by 6:45 we noticed students walking around, we kept looking at each one of them, we also would change our places buying coffee and food so we won't look suspicious

One hour passed and we couldn't find Lan's partner, school in China starts at 7:30 so when it turned 8 am we started losing hope of finding her and decided to wait till 5 pm when school finish, we were joined by Lan who goes around from group to another

"I'm sure she/he should be passing by this neighborhood"

"maybe he/she left home early or maybe woke up late and will miss the first period" Gulf said

"I was hoping on finding them today and to start training together"

"don't worry we will surely find them, let's be patient" I said, we stood for another half hour

"excuse me, I'm going to the restroom" Gulf said

"let's go together"

"no, you should stay here and keep watching around, besides the WC is just over there" he pointed

"alright, be careful" he walked away while I kept looking around with Lan, I looked to my watch to notice that almost 15 min passed and Gulf isn't back, I glanced to where Gulf walked to find no one

"Gulf is late"

"I noticed too, let's go check on him" just then my sight decided to start, I saw that Gulf was walking toward an alley, I could heard a girl muffled screams, Gulf peaked to see a man holding a girl who was trying to escape from his grip while the man was holding his phone ready to contact someone

I was shocked to see Gulf rush toward the man kicking him so hard and them pulling the girl away from him and hiding her behind him, he was feeling angry and scared but was determined to protect the girl who was crying out loud, with that my sight ended

"Gulf is in danger and I think he found your partner" we contacted the rest as we ran toward the alley I saw, I was shocked to see the man holding the girl with one hand and Gulf with the other aiming the knife to his neck

"Gulf!!!" I yelled rushing toward them, the man screamed to keep us away

"no, leave! He is a hunter! Hurry up and leave!" Gulf said looking so serious

"there is no way I'm leaving you!" I already activated my power and heard Gulf's thoughts

Stupid, he knew you both will come, he already contacted his group, hurry up, take Lan and leave Mew, please!

I didn't know what to do, Lan looked scared but he wanted to go rescue them just like me, the girl was squirming and the man was trying to suffocate her till she pass out, Gulf who noticed how much in pain she was tried to hit the man, he held his hand so hardly

"let us go!" he yelled enraged trying to at least free the girl, what happened next shocked all of us

The man suddenly released both of them and stepped back, all of us was confused and stunned, Gulf held the girl and stepped back, the man looked like he was in a daze for a minute then he woke up he looked shocked for moment before pulling Gulf by his neck

"what did you do to me?!" Gulf held him trying to free himself while the girl ran hiding behind me being held by Lan

"let me go bastard!" Gulf yelled and again the man complied freeing him, as if understand what happened, Gulf held him again

"leave and never show your face to us ever again!" the man, like a robot, walked toward his motorcycle rod it and drove away, Gulf fell down looking to his hands while I ran next to him

"are you alright? Did he hurt you?" I asked checking him from head to toe

"I found it Mew, my power" he uttered with a shaky voice

"I know, I also noticed it, you could order him with touching him, you are even more amazing than me"

"I can't believe I could do this" he looked so shocked by his own power, soon after we got joined by the rest of the group and we went to close abandoned place to decide what to do from there

"first, young girl, you are coming with us, tell me your address and I will go tell your family, you already know how dangerous it is for special people like us" Elias stated as the girl nodded telling him her address

"staying in group will only bring attention to us, let's split and meet at the train station in an hour, Lan you come with me to talk to her parents, Mew ad Gulf with accompany your partner and we will meet later" Lan nodded

"Gulf are you alright?"

"yes, I've calmed down, sorry for worrying you"

"I was dead worried, you should have contacted me instead of rushing toward the man"

"I couldn't think straight seeing him hurting her, by the way, are you alright?" Gulf asked the girl who also calmed down

"yes, thank you for saving me"

"I'm glad, what is your name?"

"I'm Mei" we explained a few general thing to what is happening, she looked scared but kept thanking us for saving her, we all met at the train station and went back to the village where we talked about what happened in details

"so Gulf also found his power and it's an extra ordinarily one, you two are on a different level than everyone" the elderly man expressed

"I think Gulf's power were awaken a while ago, he just didn't realize and didn't knew how to use it" Elias said

"I'm still shocked myself and never thought I will end up with this kind of power but I will train hard to control and use it to save innocent people and fight those hunters"

"everyone, you did great today, let's all rest and take it easy today, I will prepare a feast today to celebrate the mission success and welcome Mei to our group" everyone was happy, I noticed Gulf looking emotional, he kept smiling looking around, I got closer whispering

"what's wrong Gulf?"

"I'm feeling so happy and grateful to be part of this wonderful family"

"I'm grateful too"

"I wish we could quickly fight off this organization so we can freely go around and have fun with everyone"

"your wish will come true in the near future so let's get even stronger and do our best" he smiled softly, his eyes were sparkling in happiness and warmth, I just hope I can stay this close to Gulf for a very long time
