Third POV

Two weeks Later

In Anga

Princess Aarushi rushed away from the garden's. She wanted to hide herself. Maybe that would save her somehow. She was shaken. Feeling truly lost.

She was so much desperate for some comfort that she didn't realize where she headed off too until he stood in front of her.

His Bambi eyes scanning her carefully. He already knew that there was something wrong with her. He was now looking whether it was physical or something that he could not actually fight.

"Sab theek, Raj Kumari Aarushi?" (Everything alright, Princess Aarushi?) Prince Vikarna questions, the shaken princess.

Princess Aarushi feels breath enter her lungs when she heard his voice. It was like it grounded her.

Looking for relief, Princess Arushi threw her hands around the Prince's waist, not saying anything. She felt herself calm as she listened on his heartbeat.

Prince Vikarna was left stunned when the princess threw herself like that on him. He placed a hand on her covered back, he knows how to treat women his mom taught him that, to steady her.

He looked at the few guards who had their gaze on the floor. He knew that Princess Aarushi needed him at the moment, so he snapped his finger dismissing the guards.
He had his knife with him and he could take care of himself and princess if direly needed.

They stayed in the same position for a while.
Prince Vikarna was clear in his head; he would remain like this until Princess Aarushi needed him to.

Princess Aarushi on the other hand could feel her senses slowly come back to her. And it made her realise the situation. She was trying to nonchalant herself enough to not blush like a cherry in front of the Prince she desired.
Also, the Prince smelt so good that she could not bear pulling away from her. Would it make her creep? But she just liked his smell.

Honestly, the smell was intoxicating.

She had been forgetting why she had been running around the palace before because she felt safe around him.
Now, that his manly smell was entering her senses like this, she was forgetting even herself.

She pulls away from him, blushing and not looking at him as she takes a few steps back. "Shama kijiyega. Hum-" (Forgive me. I-)

Prince Vikarna cuts her off before she could continue, "Koi baat nahi, Raj Kumari Aarushi. Aap pareshan lag rahi thi, koi baat ho toh humse bayan kijiye." (It's alright, Princess Aarushi. You seemed worried about something, if the is something you could tell me, I am all ears.)

Princess Aarushi looks at the man in front of her. She herself was unknown to the reason behind it but she trusted him with all her heart.
And she knew that she could share all about this problem of hers along with him and have no fear. Yet, she wondered was she somehow becoming another package on his shoulder for him to carry?

"Jo bhi baat hai, bol dijiye, Raj Kumari." (Whatever it is, you can say it, Princess.) Prince Vikarna breaks her thoughts.
"Baat ko apne andar rakhne ka koi fayda nahi hoga. Aur jo bhi aap soch rahi hain na, bilkul galat." (To keep your thoughts inside you doesn't result in anything nice, ever. And whatever you are thinking, is completely wrong.)

So, Princess Aarushi did.
She told him what had occupied her thoughts.
What made her heart fear like this.
What made her lose control on herself like this.

Third POV

In Anga

The court in Anga was going on in full swing.
The ruling Prince aka Prince Yuyutsu sat at the steps of the throne, like he always did and heard out people's plea. Their problems and gave a solution for the same, as best as he could.

If asked by anyone living Anga since a long time, they would easily say that Yuyutsu was a fine prince. Kind hearted and helpful.
He ruled over, Anga just as a King would. But all of his decision was credited to Karn. As if the latter was a God for Yuyutsu.

And the people of Anga were thankful for it. Karn was no less of a god for them, he had helped them with their problems. With things that hadn't really been dealt with before. He was a great King and even greater person. His kindness knew no bounds, in every aspect.
Ananya, his wife, was also an angel. They really were a match made in heaven. She was as caring as her husband. And the kindness she spread was caring and filled with motherly kind of love for everyone older or younger than her.

The court occurring was ordinary like any other day until the guard announced the presence of Prince Vikarna in the court. It was not that Prince Vikarna didn't attend the court before just the fact that he only did when he presence was utmost needed.

Prince Vikarna had a strong hold over the people, it was in his aura. He just was powerful in the way he stood, in the way he talked, the way he looks at the people it all held a power, a strange Princely power that not many Kauravas had.

What surprised Prince Yuyutsu that his younger brother Prince Vikarna held Princess Aarushi's wrist.
A Prince with manners as immaculate as Vikarna's would never hold a princess's or any lady's hand like that. Never, unless-

"Bhrata Yuyutsu." Prince Vikarna greats, as he bows his head in respect.

"Vikarna." Prince Yuyutsu nods back.
"Raj Kumari Aarushi."

Princess Aarushi inclines her head in greeting before going back to staring at the floor. Showing no resistance as Prince Vikarna held her hand, rather tightly, clasped over the princesses wrist.

"Yahan aane ka koi vishes karan, Vikarna?" (A special reason to visit here, Vikarna) Prince Yuyutsu questions.

Prince Vikarna doesn't answer for few moments and in this time, Prince Yuyutsu reads his brother enough to know that his sweet younger brother is here after taking a decision.
The decision that was big and it may end disastrous, so he came to Prince Yuyutsu for damage control.

Why am I always the first option when they wish to save their hide?
Prince Yuyutsu sighs silently.

Prince Vikarna begins talking suddenly, "Ji Bhrata, ek baat thi." (Yes brother, there is one thing.)

Prince Yuyutsu raises an eyebrow, "Kya?" (What?)

"Humare shastr kehte hain ki har vyakti ko kuch adhikar hai. Usi mein se ek adhikar ke gavah banana chahhta hun main app sabhi ko." (Our Shastra say that there are some rights every human has. I want all of you to be witness of one such right.) Prince Vikarna says, his voice firm like people had never heard before.

What was he about to go about? What did he want?
People wonder as they listen to him talk further regarding why he was there.

"Hum hain gawahi ke liye, Vikarna." Prince Yuyutsu says assuring his younger brother, he had gather a fair idea what the younger wanted from him.

Prince Vikarna dropped Princess Aarushi's hand and gets on his knee so fast that people had to blink in surprise.
But why is he on his knees in front of Princess Aarushi?

"Raj Kumari Aarushi, har stri ko aapna var chune ka adhikar hai, aap yaad rakhiyega ki aapko mana karne ka purn hak hai. Main Swagariy Maharaj Shantanu ke Kuru vansh ka Vansaj Maharaj Dhritarashtra ka putr Kaurava Vikarna, aapse vivah ka prastav rakhta hun." (Princess Aarushi, every lady has a right to select her husband, please remember you have full right to say no. I, Late King Shantanu's lineage, King Dhritarashtra's son, Kaurava Vikarna, put forward a marriage proposal in front of you.)

--Never, unless he was going to ask her to marry him. Prince Yuyutsu sighs as he finally completes his previous thought.

People who were in the court gasped in surprise at the words of Prince.
They had not guessed what he had been wanting before, but even they would have thought this through they may never have realised that Prince Vikarna would propose something like this.

Nope.

On the other hand, Prince Yuyutsu notes that Princess Aarushi seemed more surprise that Vikarna kneeled before her rather than the fact that he just asked her to marry him.

"Kahiye Raj Kumari Aarushi kya aap ko yeh vivah ka prastav swikar hai?" (Say, Princess Aarushi, do you accept this proposal of marriage?) Prince Yuyutsu questions, after a few moments of silence falls in the court.
"Yaad rakhiye Raj Kumari, aapko haan karna awashyak nahi hai." (Please remember, you are no way forced to say yes.)

"Hum samajh rahe hain, Raj Kumar." (I understand, prince.) Princess Aarushi begins in her soft voice. "Aur hum Raj Kumar Vikarna ke prastav ko svikar karte hain." (And I accept the proposal by Prince Vikarna.)

Prince Yuyutsu hides a smile when he sees the delight shine in Vikarna's eyes.
Prince Yuyutsu knew that Vikarna had a certain affection towards the younger Ayodhyan Princess. And this wedding would really delight him.

Prince Vikarna raises himself from his kneeling position and turns to his brother, "Yahan ke raja saman hain aap, Raj Kumar Yuyutsu, kya aapki anumati hai iss vivah ke liye?" (You are like a king here, Prince Yuyutsu, do we have your approval towards this wedding?)

"Awashya, lekin humare Raja ke samman hone se koi farak nahi padta. Agar aap dono ki anumati hai toh hum aap dono ko is ke liye badhai dete hain." (Sure, but it doesn't matter if I am King like. And if you both are giving approval then I congratulate you both for the same.)

"Anumati Hai." (I give approval.) The couple whispers in sync looking up at Yuyutsu. At this point of time, the older was a god sent for them both.
