-- Flashback --
Nakul had been rushing around helping around in the jobs that needed him. He was the younger brother of the groom; he had few tasks to complete. People asked him to rest but he liked doing these things so, what's the big deal, huh?
Now, Nakul was a person who kept his mind always open, even while doing a task that needs a lot of his attention, he remains on standby. Aware of his surroundings the fighter in him had been trained to do so, by his Guru dev.
So, when the girl came crashing into him, he was left stunned. Even though he would never admit it out to anyone, but the girl was so pretty she took his breath away.
He had been helping the Dwarka men and instructing them as to how they need to decorate the room his Jyestha and Bhabhi Shree are going to spend night in. One guard had come forward to him with few fragmented candles, so now he was testing which one was the best, honestly all of them were so good. How did Dwarka make candles?
And thus, he was left stunned when something came crashing into him. Why didn't his instinct warn him about this?
Whatever it was, Nakul grabbed onto the other person so that they can maintain their rhythm and not fall to the ground.
He then turned to look at the person in his arms.
Breath-taking was perhaps the only word he could take at the moment.
Big round eyes had gazed up at him, such innocence filled in them that Nakul found it kind of hard to breath.
Plum cheery like red lips. Nakul wondered if they felt fluffy like they seemed.
Those round cheeks seemed to have the world in them, they were so round.
The nose was a little long but it seemed to be like the slope of a pretty snowy mountain.
The girl's forehead was pinched together as if before running into him, she had been thinking something of utmost important.
It was the black hair like a waterfall that brought him back to present, and he realised what position the two stood in. Not really ideal.
He looked away from her, as he steadied her before taking a step back, away from her. He was surprised to see that the guards and men had already left. Where did they go? And when?
He cleared his throat once before looking at the girl again. But this time she was not looking up at him rather she was staring down at her Lengha, fingers twisting and turning amongst themselves.
Aww, she seemed to have turned shy now.
Wah, so cute.
Nakul was so surprised at his thoughts, that he chocked at air. coughing to regain his breath.
The girl in front of him, had raised her eyes she was staring at Nakul in what Nakul could gather was worry. How? Why? Did she even know him?
And then it happened, he was sure that flower was being rained upon the girl at it. "Aap theek toh hain, na, Raj Kumar?" (Are you alright, Prince?)
Her voice was like waves hitting the shore of the sea. Calm yet there was a deep rumble in it.
It was so soothing. It attracted him towards it.
"Yeh baat toh mujhe aapse puchni chahiye, Raj Kumari." (That is something, I should be asking you, Princess.) Nakul questions rather than answering.
How could he answer, he could not lie to her and no way was he alright, especially after seeing her.
"Hum bilkul theek hain." (I am perfectly fine.) Again, the voice wooed Nakul to no ends. He was becoming an addict of the voice in just two lines.
"Maaf kijiye ga, parantu kya main yeh puch sakta hun ki aap kon hain?" (Pardon me, but can I ask you this, who are you really?) Nakul questions.
"Awashya Jaan sakte hain, Main Raj Kumari Karenumati hun, Kalinga ki Raj Kumari." (Of course, you can know, I am Princess Karenumati. Princess of Kalinga.) The princess- Karenumati- answers.
"Pranipatra, Raj Kumari." (Greetings Princess) He greets.
"Is pranipatra ke liye thodi der nahi ho gayi hai, Raj Kumar?" (Hasn't it been to long for us to now greet one another?) She questions.
"Jab jago tab hi savera." Nakul shrugs, he had heard Ananya say that before.
Princess Karenumati giggles.
Nakul felt his soul leave the body. He felt as if descended the heaven. Those were the cutest and most adorable giggles he had ever heard.
"NAKUL!" A loud shriek makes him turn around, he did not need to turn though to know that it was his twin, Sehdev.
"Haan?"
"Chal, Jyestha ke pass khana le jana Hai. Unhone kuch khaya nahi hai." (Come on, we need to bring food to Jyestha, he hasn't had anything.) Sehdev says, eyes not falling on the small figure practically hidden by Nakul's lithe body.
"Tum aage bhado, main abhi aaya." (You start ahead, I will join you.) Nakul instructs. "Yahan ka kaam bas khatam hi hone wala Hai." (I am just about to finish with the work here.) He gestures towards the room.
"Theek Hai!" (Alright!) Sehdev replies, before he walks back to look for Karn.
"Main aap se fir milunga." (I will meet you later on.) Nakul bows his head slightly in respect at the princess, getting a nod and wide smile in return.

Karenumati smiled to herself mindlessly as she remembered what had happened the same morning. She never thought that a man could look so fine.
Perhaps she had been looking at the wrong places, all these while.
Yes, she had heard from a lot of people that Prince Nakul of Hastinapur was very handsome, but she supposed that she had not thought him to be such an artwork. To be so handsome. He looked so nice; her breath got away.
Being a social butterfly she was, she has meant a ton of prince's before. Her unexpected strength had her parents not worried about the fact that she could be harassed or troubled in any form. She had her moves ready always.
But Nakul? He was unlike any Prince she had ever met before. There was just something in him that called her to him.
She wondered why it was such? Was it physical attraction to him?
Or something else, and if it was something else what was it?
She had read and heard about being attracted to people because of one's physical needs but she had never felt that so, it still left her confused if this what one actually feels when physically attracted to someone.
He looked stunning later on when he walked in the wedding place along with his brothers. They all shone when they walked in but Nakul seemed to stand out in her eyes. Why she felt such around him, Karenumati couldn't point out.
