Third POV
The Next Morning
In Kalinga.
Very nonchalantly, Duryodhana moves to his wife's side, moving inch by inch, so that there was as little space between them. Before he raises a single finger to brush his wife's hair off her ear. Pushing the stray hair right behind her ear.
He saw her breath stopping at his action, he was already half way in to the game plan. He was already half way to winning the first competition he ever had it with her, up until now at least.
But that could not continue for long because suddenly someone was cleaning their throat, making Duryodhana and Bhanumati jump two feet in air as well as pushing each other away from themselves.
Bhabhi Ma and Jyestha still stood behind them a teasing smirk spread on their lips. They had returned from the river to a lovely sight truly. One they never would miss, whatever happens to the world. They cooed in unison, at them.
Ananya burst out laughing at the reaction the two had on seeing her and Karna. It was so funny to see them positively flustered like this.
"Bhabhi Ma!" Duryodhana stands up looking at her trying to get the red cheeks of his to go away.
"Hume galat samay wapas aa gaye." (We returned back at the wrong time.) Karn teases, smirking as he watches the new couple turn fifty shades of red.
"Wapas chalein kya?" (Should we go back or what?) Ananya laughs looking at her husband and teasing her new sister- in- law.
Bhanumati blushes at the words.
They were teasing them so much, AHAHAH.
"Main nahane ja raha hun." (I am going to take a bath!) Duryodhana declares suddenly, moving away from where they stood.
"Are Duryodhana, ruko." (Hey, Duryodhana, listen.) Ananya calls after him.
"Ji Bhabhi Ma?" (Yes, Bhabhi Ma?) He turns to face her.
"Bhanumati ko toh le jao." (Take Bhanumati with you.) She says, in a serious tone and her face straight. "Madd kar degi tumhara. Pith tak haath pahunchta nahi hoga tumhara, woh thoda saf kar degi, hain na?" (She will help you. Your hand must not really reach your back, she will clean it for you.)
Karn bursts into a belly laughter hearing the unsaid implication of Ananya's words. Duryodhana on the other hand feels his ears burning like a fire truck. "Bhabhi Ma!" He shrieks.
"Kya?" (What?) Ananya feigns innocence.
"Usne thodi dekha hai kya kahan jaana hai? Ab tere Jyestha ko bhi akele nahane mein Sharma lagta hai, warna toh main hi lete jati. Tujhe hi lejana hoga na." (She has not seen the place we go, right? Now your elder brother also feels shy in taking a bath alone, or else I would have taken her along with me. Now, you need to do that.)
"Patni ji, hum par inzam aise mat lagaiye, priye." (Wife Dear, do not put full accession on me, sweetheart.) Karn teases. "Subha humare bina chalta nahi aapka, yeh kahiye." (A morning without me does not work for you, say that.)
Bhanumati looks at her sister in law, whose cheeks flushed a deep red yet all of them laughing with all their hearts, the three were so open with each other.
Having such close bonds meant that they would not be affected by any Crown politics. One she supposed would be at large in Hastinapur.
Hopefully they will stand together even after it all. Bhabhi Ma and Jyestha were born to be the leaders. And she would be the happiest to see them sitting on the throne of Hastinapur. To sit on the throne of Aryavarta.
-- Time Skip –
Bhanumati settles down beside Ananya, who was in the kitchen now starting to cook the food.
"Kya kar rahin hain aap, Bhabhi Ma?" (What are you doing, Bhabhi Ma?) Bhanumati questions.
"Khana banane ki taiyari." (Making preparations for cooking food.) Ananya smiles at her.
"Mujhe toh nahi aata khana banana." (I do not know how to make food.) Bhanumati makes a sad face, before confessing, "Kabhi dekha bhi nahi rasoi jaa kar." (I have never paid attention by going in the kitchen even.)
"Koi baat nahi." (That's not a problem.) Ananya waves her off.
"Har din ek nayi sikh hi toh hai." (Every day in life is a new learning only.)
"Aapne kab sikha?" (When did you learn?) Bhanumati questions as she hands her more sticks from where it was kept closer to her than Ananya.
"Kaliyuga mein." (In Kaliyuga.) Ananya smiles lightly at her, "Wahan par jab mere pariwar ka dehant ho gaya toh aapna khayal khud rakhne ke liye roj khana banane lagi. Par meri maa ne pehle bhi mujhe kuch kuch banana sikhaya tha." (There when my family died, then to take care of myself I had to cook for myself every day. Also, my mother had taught me how to cook few dishes too.)
"Aapke mata, pita ... yeh sab kab hua?" (You mother, father ... When did all this happen, huh?) Bhanumati questions.
"Maim 18 saal ki thi tab." (I was 18 then.) Ananya tries to ignite the fire further.
"Maaf kijiye ga, maine puch aise." (Pardon me, I asked this from you.)
"Koi zarrorat nahi hai, ab itne varsh ho gaye hain, us baat ko samjh liya hai maime." (There is no need, now it has been so many years that I have come to terms with the same thing.) Ananya says. Bhanumati looks as she raises the pot on the fire filled with water to cook rice.
"Kaisa hai Kaliyug? Alag hai yahan se bahut?" (How is Kaliyuga? Is it very different from here?) Bhanumati questions, inquisitive.
"Bahut." (Very much.) Ananya answers. "Log. Vyavhar. Kapde. Sab badal jaata hai." (People. Behaviour. Clothes. Everything changes there.)
"Wahan zyada acha lagta tha ya yahan?" (You felt better there or here?)
"Dono jagah bahut alag hain." (Both places are very different.) Ananya replies. "Kehna mushkil hoga lekin, haan ek baat hai, yahan tum log ho toh acha lagta hai." (Taking name of one place will be difficult, but there is one thing, I have you guys here so it makes this timeline better.)
Bhanumati watches as Ananya washes the rice.
"Aap ka koi hai kya wahan?" (Is there someone you can call yours, there.)
"Kuch dost hain." (I have some friends.) Ananya nods.
"Unki yaad nahi aati?" (Do you not miss them?) Bhanumati asks.
"Aati hai, lekin ab lagta hai jaise ki tum sab ke bina nahi reh sakti main." (I do miss them, but now it feels as if I could not stay away from you guys, at all) Ananya replies, she seemed to be looking far away.
"Aap chinta maat karein, Bhabhi Ma. Hum hamesha aapke saath hain." (Do not worry, Bhabhi Ma. We are always standing beside you.) Bhanumati places a hand on hers reassuring her.
Ananya smiles, before raising the joined hands and kissing Bhanu Mati's hands.
"Dhanyavad." (Thank you.)
Bhanumati looked at the elder lady in front of her.
So, compassionate.
So, caring.
So, kind.
God really made a single piece of her. And Bhanumati thinks herself to be utmost lucky to have met her and be younger sister of the former.
"Bhabhi Ma, aap humara bhavisya jaanti hain?" (Bhabhi ma, do you know our future?) Bhanumati inquires, Duryodhana said something similar, she was just asking to make sure the information she had was true.
"Kuch chije haan." (There are some things.) Ananya answers. "Par mere yahan aane se bahut kuch badla hai, is liye sab kuch nahi jaanti ki kya hoga." (But a lot has changed due to my intervention here, so I do not know very much.)
"Kitna mushkil kaam hai yeh. Sab jan kar bhi anjaan rehna." (It is such a difficult deed. To act unknow even after knowing everything,) Bhanumati states.
"Jivan mein sab mushkil jhelte hain. Sabki mushkil unke liye badi hoti hai." (Every one deals with their own problems. And every problem is big for them.) Ananya tells Bhanumati. "Aur jahan tak yeh baat hai ki meri mushkil tumhe badi lag rahi hai woh is liye hai kyunki tum mujhe samajh rahi ho, mere dukh ko samajh rahi ho." (And as far as the point of my problem seaming a little big for you is considered, that is because you understand me, understand my pain)
"Agar main nahi samjhungi, toh kon samjhe ga?" (If I do not understand then who else will, huh?) Bhanumati asks. Getting a big beautiful smile in return.
"Meri behen toh Karenumati bhi hai." (I have a sister bond with Karenumati too.) Bhanumati begins. "Par jaisa aap se baat karke lagta hai waisa kisi aur ke saath nahi lagta hai." (But the feeling one has after talking to you, one can never feel that way with anyone else.)
"Karenumati?" (Karenumati?) Ananya frowns.
"Hmm." Bhanumati hums nodding along as she worked. "Sagi behen nahi hai, parantu unski ma mujhe bahut manti hai. Meri chachi hui woh." (She is not my sibling, Her mother considers me a lot, the lady is my aunt.)
"Achcha." (Good.) Ananya says in understanding.
"Aapki shaadi mein gayi toh thi woh. Main nahi gayi thi par woh toh gayi thi." (She had been at your wedding; I could not go but she was there.) Bhanumati informs her sister- in- law as she tries to cut the potatoes just like she saw Ananya do some time ago.
"Meri shaadi mein?" (In my wedding?) Ananya frowns, she doesn't remember that at all.
No short vision or dream flash back kinds.
"Haan." (Yes.) Bhanumati nods. "Usne kaha ki woh chah kar bhi nahi mil saki aapse." (She said that even after a long time of trying she could not meet you.)
"Samay nahi hua tha, humare milne ka lagta hai." (It seems like it has yet to the time for both of visiting.) Ananya supposes.
"Ho sakta hai." (It may be true.) Bhanumati nods.
"Par pata hai, Raj Kumar Nakul se mili thi woh. Kuch hua bhi tha." (But do you know, she met Prince Nakul. And something happened too.)
"Kya?" (What?) Ananya raises an eyebrow.
"Ladki ko pyaar ho gaya." (The girl fell in love.) Bhanumati grins.

How was the update?
Ananya and Bhanumati are bonding together well, it seems.
What do you think of the new development in regard of Karenumati?
Some people have been telling me that my writing style has changed in last few months.
Is it true? What do you guys think?
I hope you guys are still enjoying the book, yeah?
