Third POV

The royal family was worried, none of the Pandeva's or Duryodhana were there. These kids were being so irresponsible.
Abruptly the door of the was opened and the kids piled in.

Kunti frowned looking at them. They were walking strangely, it was as if they were going to fight or something, especially seeing the way they had arranged themselves.

"Maharaj" (Your Majesty) Karn calls the attention to himself.

"Haan Putra, bolo?" (Yes, son. Say?) Maharaj asks.

"Maharaj, Mujhe ek prashana tha." (Your majesty, I had a question.)

"Pucho Putra." (Ask son?)

"Jab koi Maharaj hota hai, toh Kya uska koi bhai ya bandhu hota hai?" (When somebody is a king, does he have friends or family?) Karn asked, the tone of Karn was curious.

So, Dhritarashtra thought it was maybe be he married and he was worried of his king life and personal life mingling.

"Nahi Putra. Kabhi nahi." (No, son. Never.) Maharaj answers.

"Toh fir aaj, aap srif Dushassan ki bat hi Kyun suni?" (Then why did you only listen to what Dushassan had to say?) Karn questions. 

Everyone turns surprised to Maharaj and then to the said Prince. What was happening here?

"Kya Hua, Karn? Kis chij ki bat kar Rahe Ho?" (What happened, Karn? What are you talking about?) Maha Mahim asks. He was not sure what was going on here. 

Karn simply motioned his head to the right side and the people of the room turn to the direction, to find Yuyutsu standing between Arjun and Yudhishthira.

Kunti gasped in surprise looking at him. Subhadra and Dushala had tears in their eyes. Even Maha Mahim was surprised to see his state.

Yuyutsu looked half- dead. His body was blue and black, the Ayurvedic medicine had been applied but he didn't look good after it. He looked in pain as he was standing there.

Yudhishthira had a hand on Yuyutsu's shoulder, he was with hiding glaring at Dushassan. So, were the other brothers. The only one emotionless in the group was Ananya. Her face was a mask of indifference. And her hands folded on her chest.

"Putra Yuyutsu, Kya Hua tumhe?" (Son Yuyutsu, what happened to you?) Rani Kunti asked, distressed. She was after all a mother.

"Durvyavahar ka natija hai, Ma." (A result of mis- treatment, mom.) Karn answers. 

"12 Raj- Kumar ko Yuyutsu ne pit Diya. Aur jaanti hai ma, sabse mast bat yeh hai ki, saare chot Yuyutsu ko hi aaye Hain." (Yuyutsu had beaten 12 prince. And you know the best thing mom, all the hurt is visible on Yuyutsu's body only.) Karn had such sarcastic tone that even Maha Mahim winced at what he said. 

Nobody missed the way he fircely glared at Dushassan at the last part.

"Kya yeh saach hai, Yuyutsu?" (Is this true, Yuyutsu?) Maha Mahim asks.

"Ji Maha Mahim." (Yes, Maha Mahim.) He answers, mumbling.

"Kon tha pramukh Mein?" (Who was in the lead?) Maha Mahim asks.

"..." when he is silent Arjun and Yudhishthira squeeze his shoulder. 

Taking a deep breath and stealing his nerves,  Yuyutsu says, "Dushassan."

"Kya aapke pas bhi yahi log aaye the, Maharaj?" (Were these people that came to you, your majesty?) Maha Mahim asks. He was disappointed in his nephews decision. 

"Tat shree?" (Uncle?) Maharaj Dhritarashtra looked in direction of his uncle in surprise. Maha Mahim's voice was tight, like he had never heard before. 

"Hum puch rahein ki Kya yahi log the aapke pas?" (I asked, were these people that came to you?) Maha Mahim questions. This time also his voice was pure ice. 

"Ji Tat shree." (Yes, uncle.) He nods, knowing no other resolve.

"Fir unhe dand Kyun nahi Mila?" (Then why weren't they punished.) Bishma questions.

"Par woh Dasi Putra hai." (But he is a maid's son.) Maharaj protests.

"Toh Tat shree Vidor bhi hai, unhe Kyun Maha Mantri ka pad Mila hai?" (That uncle Vidor is too, then why has he been given the post of Maha Mantri?) Ananya asks, her voice sounded like a cold breeze.

People were surprised at what she said. They never thought she could bring such a thing up.

"Woh humara Bhrata hai." (He is our brother.) Maharaj says in an offensive tone.

"Yuyutsu humara Bhrata hai." (Even Yuyutsu is ours.) Ananya says.

"Yuyutsu." Karn calls. Intervening in whatever Maharaj Dhritarashtra was going to say, acting like he did not see that Maharaj was about to talk.

"Ji, Jyeshta?" (Yes, elder brother?) Yuyutsu asks, his voice low. He was worried of whatever was happening here. He was not sure where this all would lead. 

"Tum taiyari Kar lo, humare saath Anga chal Rahe Ho." (Get ready, you are coming with us to Anga.) Karn declares. Yuyutsu's head snaps to Karn.

"Nahi Putra." (No, sun.) Maharani Gandhari screams suddenly.

"Par Bharata-" (But brother- ) Yuyutsu begins but is cut off by Karn.

"Yeh tumhare Jyeshta Bhrata Ka adesh hai." (This is your elder brother's order.) Karn tells him. "Agar Mujhe adar karte Ho toh, aajana." (If you have respect for me, then come.)

Standing up, from where he had taken a seat on the table, he grabs Ananya and walks out of the room. Ananya followed him without any question, knowing what he was feeling. 

She herself was thoroughly disappointed as to how Maharaj and Maharani of Hastinapur acted. Was this way to do things? Especially for Maharani Gandhari? She didn't say anything until Karn talked about taking him away. She is a queen, a mother and then was silent all the while the things happened? What was wrong with her?

They walked to their room, instantly Ananya pulled him in a hug and he rested his head on her shoulder as she soothingly let her hand wander at his neck and nape of hair.
He relaxed under her soft touches, felt all the anger melt away. He had been furious of Maharaj, now he felt a lot better.

Ananya pulls his away from her shoulder, her hands splayed on his cheeks. She stares in his eyes as he looks at her questioningly.
She simply closes the distance between them.

Karn's hands, that were up till now resting on her waist, tightened as his wife kissed him. He was surprised to say least but why stop, he deepened the kiss a little, letting his tongue lick her lower lip. He felt her shudder a little under his touch, under the heavenly feel.

"Sahi Kiya aapne." (You did the right thing.) Ananya says, gently, when they pull away from the kiss. Karn just hums in reply, the last thing was better.

"JYESHTA!" "BHABHI MA!" Screams followed as the gate was thrown open, and the six cousins entered the room.
But they instantly froze on seeing their brother and sister- in- law. She Had her hands around his face while his hands were on her waist.

There was silence in the room, until Ananya turned around in Karn's embrace and looked at her brother- in- law, who were red and were trying to look anywhere but at the couple. Karn was too mortified to think anything else.

"Kuch baat thi?" (Was there some matter?) Ananya asks calmly. As if the brothers just did not walk on her and Karn. But they were just hugging so what was the big deal? Right?

"Umm, hum baad Mein aajayenge." (Umm, we will come later on.) Arjun says very fast. Trying to escape.

"Kam abhi ka hai toh baad Mein aajane se kam Ho payega?" (The work is for now, then how will it be done if you come later?) Ananya asks.

"Par- " (But-) Nakul tried to protest.

"Hum toh Anga akele hi ja rahein, na?" (We are going to Anga alone only.) Ananya confirms. "Wahan thodi rahoge tum log?" (You guys won't be there.)

"Bhabhi Ma!" Six voices say appalled.

"Kya?" (What?) Ananya asks with an innocent look. "Sach hi bol rahi thi, na. Ab sach bhi na boloun?" (I was speaking the truth, right? Should I not say the truth now?)

Yuyutsu is going to Anga. 

Maharani Gandhari what is wrong with her?
