Duryodhana POV

My elder brother is whipped.
Total and out right whipped.

Lord! Save him.

Bhabhi ma winked at him, before walking out and believe me, I know my friend, he melted in an instant.

But all in all, I am happy. For him, for myself, for my family. Bhabhi ma is great, she has already bought us brothers close, she is perfect to be my eldest brother's wife and the eldest daughter- in- law of the family.

"Bhrata Duryodhana, Shaadi toh Jyeshta Bhrata ki hui hai. Aap kiske khayal Mein khoye hue Ho?" (Brother Duryodhana, Elder brother got married. In whose thoughts are you lost in?) Nakul's voice brings me, out of my lost thought land.

"Kisi ke khayal Mein nahi Hun, Nakul. Bas aise hi soch raha Hun kuch." (I am not lost in somebody's thoughts, Nakul. I am simply thinking.) I answer.

"Hume bhagna toh nahi padega na?" (We don't need to run, right?) Jyeshta Bhrata asks, with a serious expression.

"Kya Jyeshta Bhrata?" (What Elder Brother?) I cry. But all of them laugh, as Bhrata Yudhishthira smiles. Does he ever laugh completely?

"Jyeshta Bhrata, yeh anguthi Kahan se Mila aap ko? Yeh toh aditvya lagta hai" (Elder brother, from where did you find this ring from? It looks unique.) Bheema comments, once we have calmed down.

All of us glance at Jyeshta's left hand where in on his fourth finger is a ring, in a strange crown like shape. Jyeshta glances down at it, smiling softly.

"Maine aisa anguthi kahin nahi dekha." (I have never seen a ring like this.) Nakul says observing it closely.

"Kahan se Mila aap ko yeh, Jyeshta Bhrata?" (Where did you get this from, elder brother?) Sehdev asks.

Looking at his ring finger closely, Jyeshta says, "Ananya ne Diya." (Ananya gave it to me.)

"Kyun?" (Why?) Bheema asks.

"Unki hum se Vivaah hui hai, Bheema. Woh Jo chahhe Mujhe bhet kar sakti hai." (She has been married to me, Bheema. She can gift me whatever she likes.) Jyeshta responses.

"Anga ke liye aap kab nikalenge Jyeshta Bhrata?" (When are you leaving for Anga, elder brother?) Bhrata Yudhishthira asks.

"Itne jaldi Mujhe bhaga chahhte Ho, Yudhishthira?" (You want me to go away so fast, Yudhishthira?) Jyeshta Bhrata asks.

"Nahi Bhrata, main toh bas...." (No brother, I was just....) Bhrata Yudhishthira tries to correct himself.

But Jyeshta simply laughs. "Are Yudhishthira main toh bas aise hi mazak kar raha tha." (Are Yudhishthira, I was just joking around with you.)

Bhrata Yudhishthira relaxes a little.

"Hum kaal sham ko Prasthan karenge, Yudhishthira." (We are going to leave tomorrow evening, Yudhishthira.) Jyeshta says.

"Itne Jaldi?" (So early?) Arjun speaks for the first time.

"Ab sab Gandhar Raj toh nahi hai na, Arjun. Hume aapne Rajya ko bhi toh sambhalna hai." (Now, all of us can't be Gandhar Raj, right Arjun? I need to look after my country too.) Jyeshta answers.
All of dissolve into fits of laughter at his first part of answer.

"Hume nahi gyaat tha ki, aapko dono ko Mama Shree nahi pasanda." (We didn't know that; you guys didn't like Uncle.) Bheema comments.

"Mujhe bachchpan se hi Mama shree ne tumhare bare Mein galat gyaan di thi, Mujhe pata hi nahi tha tum kaise Ho aur Kya kar sakte Ho." (From a very young age, my uncle had taught me ill about you. I didn't know how you guys are and what can you guys do?) I start to explain.
"Mujhe kabhi bhi kisi ne bahut dhyaan nahi Diya tha. Parantu jaise hi aap log aaye, sab aapke saath bitane ke liye samey khoj Rahe the. Aap logon ka Bharata prem dekh kar bhi hume dukh hota tha. Kyunki mere vas- tavik jeevan Mein aisa koi sambandh nahi tha, Mujhe is baat se bahut Jalan hoti thi." (Nobody paid much attention to me. But as soon as you guys were here, everybody started to find a way to spend time with you. Looking at your brotherly love also caused me sadness. Because never in my life, before had I seen such a bond, I was very jealous of this.)

"Is Jalan ko aag Diya Mama shree ne. Aur mere haathon woh saare galat chij hue. Jab Mama shree ne Jyeshta Bhrata Karn ko Mitra bannane ka vichhar Diya, toh Mujhe koi aapati nahi thi, kyunki Mujhe ek mitra ki zaroorat thi, Mujhe aur Ashwatthama dono ko. Hume kabhi aapse koi bare nahi tha, par ek Jalan ka karan zarror tha." (My uncle, fired this jealousy. And various wrong deeds occurred from this hand. When uncle gave me the idea to befriend elder brother Karn, I had no qualms because I needed a friend, both me and Ashwatthama needed one. None of us had any hated towards you, but I had a reason of jealousy towards you.) I inform them, bowing my head and closing my eyes, not knowing how they will react.

I feel a hand on my shoulder, I raise my head to find Bhrata Yudhishthira standing there. "Duryodhana tum galat the, par samey rehte tumne aap ne Galati ko sudhar liya. Galat sangatee se, sahi sangatee ke taraf kadam liya hai. Aise Mein tumhe hum aapne saath Shamil kar Tein Hain, Duryodhana." (Duryodhana you were wrong, but time was still there when you corrected you mistake. From wrong path, you have taken a step towards the right path. At this point, we take you with us, Duryodhana.)

He hugs me that I return. Happy that he could understand what I meant, what I could have gone through. What I must have felt. I knew he was thoughtful but what he did know right now, doubled my respect for him.

"Dhanyavad, Bhrata Yudhishthira, samajhne ke liye." (Thank you, brother Yudhishthira, for understanding.) I say in the hug.

Suddenly two forces join us and I realize that it must be the twins. I can feel Karn join us after them, slowly followed by what must be Arjun. And when Bheema joins us, I feel as if I will die today.

"Main mar Gaya. Samajh raha Hun aapke pyaar ko, parantu Mujhe jeena hai." (I am dead. I understand your love for me, but I want to live.) I wheeze out. They move away and I take a deep breathe.

"Aap humare Bade Bhrata Hain, Bhrata. Hum aapko aapne alag nahi maante." (You are our elder brother, brother. We don't consider you different from us.) Sehdev explains.

"Ji Bhrata." (Yes brother.) The rest of the three brothers' chores.

"Mujhe aapne saath shamil karne ke liye, main aapka aabhari Hun." (I am grateful to you guys for considering me a part of yourself.) I thank them and once again.

Duryodhana confessed.
While I sat for writing, I suddenly realized that Duryodhana someday did not actually open himself up in front of his brothers. So, here you are.

Karn and Ananya will leave tomorrow evening.
Will something happen before it?
