Karn POV
Today was a hectic and happening day. I am currently standing in my balcony, of my room in Raj Mahal. We had returned from the Ganga Tat had food and retired for the day, after some time.
There was a soft disturbance I felt in the room, holding my knife close, I enter my room and frown when I see the people in my room, it's my brothers' all except Bheema.
"Kya Hua?" (What happened?) I ask.
"Dehere bolo." (Speak low.) Nakul scolds me, rubbing his eyes.
"Kya Ho raha hai ye?" (What is happening here?) I ask again.
"Pata nahi, Bhrata Krishna ne kaha yahan aane ko kha." (We don't know, Brother Krishna called for us here.) Sehdev answers, yawning.
"Oh!"
Suddenly the door opens a crack and Bheema and Duryodhana walk in, my eyes bulge out on seeing them together. They were whispering something to one another and smiling.
Before we could question them Krishna and Balram walk in.
"Ab bas Krishnen ki kami hai." (Now, only Krishnen is left.) Krishna smiles.
"Kya? Hum uske kamre Mein kaise jayenge?" (What? How will we go in her room?) Yudhishthira asks. Though he remains calm most of the time, I saw some of his carefreeness since he learnt about me.
"Kuch nahi hoga. Chalo" (Nothing will happen, come.) Krishna replies.
"Hum sab?" (All of us?) Arjun questions.
"Haan." (Yes.)
"Kaise?" (How?) I question.
"Aapko aage rakh kar." (Keeping you in the front.) He gives me a mischievous smile.
"Kyun?" (Why?) I ask.
"Pata chal jayega." (You will get to know.)
"Shanti rakho" (Keep silence.) Balram hisses from beside us. It feels so strange to call him that. I didn't know, I was elder than him.
We enter her chambers through the window. I never thought I would be doing this; Yudhishthira was grumbling of this being un- righteous.
"Usse uthaiye, Jyeshta Bhrata Karn." (Wake her up, elder brother Karn.) Krishna whispers.
"Main Kyun?" (Why me?)
"Kyunki aap sabse bade." (Because you are the eldest.) Balram mumbles and pushes me towards her bed. I hope she is wearing something decent today.
"Ananya" I call. She doesn't stir.
"Ananya" I say louder.
In a second, I am flat on her bed with her knee on my chest and hand around my neck and the other holding my wrist. What?
Well, she is wearing full clothes today. A blue top that has sleeves till elbow and a lower that has things drawn all over it.
"Aap?" (You) she says living my wrist and hands. Laughter rings from behind us and Ananya looks behind at the boys with disbelief on her face.
"Yeh Kya chal raha hai?" (What is happening here?) she asks getting up and I instantly follow suit.
"Tumhe pata tha yeh hoga." (You knew this would happen.) I accuse Krishna, he smiles a teasing, annoying smile and nods.
"Aapne waise Kyun Kiya?" (Why did you do that?) Yudhishthira asks.
"Aadhi raat Mein, ek ladka mere kamre Mein aaye, woh bhi Dvapara Yuga Mein so hi sakti hun na." (In the middle of night, a guy enters my room, in Dvapara Yuga. I can only sleep right?) she says, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Haath kafi jyada majbooti se pakadti Ho." (Your hold is quite strong.) I comment rubbing my wrist. She gives me an apologetical smile while everybody else laughs.
"Kya Jyeshta behena ki haath ne aapka yeh haal kar Diya?" (What elder brother, my sisters hand did this state of yours?) Duryodhana tsks.
"Kam maat samajhna Mujhe, Bhrata. Fas jaoge." (Don't take me lightly, brother. You will land in problem.) Ananya tells him.
"Kam Kya tha?" (What work did you have?) she directs the question at Krishna.
"Mujhe bhookh lagi hai." (I am hungry) He answers. And she face- palms.
Walks to her side table, picks something up and chucks it a Krishna.
It flashes in moon- light, a definite, known blue color.
"Chocolate." I exclaim before I can stop myself. She smiles at me and throws a pack at me. I instantly open it and take a bite. I moan blissfully at its taste.
"Mujhe bhi khaana hai." (I also want to have one.) A pouty voice whines, its Bheema.
"Nahi, bilkul Mat dena, varna saare khatam Ho jaenge." (No, don't ever give it, or else all of them will get finished.) Nakul yells. And rest of us chuckle.
"Mere pas kafi hai ki aap sab ko ek- ek mil jaye." (I have enough to get all of you one each.) She says walking away.
After 5 minutes, returns with the chocolates, she distributes it, we sit on her bed and have them. I had Yudhishthira on one side while Ananya on the other. She has Krishna and Balram beside her, due to lack of space some people sat in front and some in back, half way here and other half there.
"Yeh bahut achcha hai." (This is very good.) Bheema says.
"Main puri tarah se sehmat Hun." (I fully agree with you.) Duryodhana approves. Between the Kauravas and us, he is the biggest foodie. After one, though I will never agree on the face, I am that one.
Everybody voices their agreement, still busy eating their chocolates not looking up, I was feeling my environment. After, I was done I turned to Yudhishthira, he was observing our brothers and I joined, it's strange to say our brothers'.
Making eye contacts, with one another, at last, all of us turned to Ananya. Who as expected by me, had made a mess.
She had chocolate on her lips and was sucking chocolate traces of her fingers. She had chocolate all over her fingers. Her eyes closed, showing her lostness in chocolate world.
"Kya?" (What?) she opens her eyes, looking at us with an eyebrow raised.
"Mujhe abhi bhi nahi samajh aaya, chocolate ko aise khane ka fayda." (I still don't understand, the point of having chocolate like this.) I tell her.
"Maza." (Fun) She shrugs. I just wrinkle my nose in repugnance.
She reaches towards me with her clean hand and ease's the nose, "Daag Ho jayega. Aise bade Ho, aur bade lagoge." (It will scar. Already you are so old, you will look much older.)
"Jo bhi." (Whatever) I wave off.
"Are, aap sabse bade Ho. Haina?" (Oh, you are the oldest. Right?) she asks. I nod in reply.
"Aur fir?" (And then?) she questions.
"Dau Bhrata, Yudhishthira Bhrata, Main, tum, Duryodhana, Bheema, Arjun, Nakul, Sehdev." Krishna lists.
"Chalo, rasoi Mein kuch khojein." (Come on let's go to the kitchen, and have something.) Krishna suggests.
"Kuch Kyun, Kanha? Bol na tujhe Makhana chahiye." (Why something, Kanha? Say you want to have Makhana.) Balram tases him and we all laugh lightly.
We sneaked into the kitchen safely and searched for Makhana first. Finding it, we divide it amongst ourselves, you can guess who had the most and all, no need to say.
"Bheema" I heard Duryodhana hiss. Straining my ears, I pay attention to them, "Rasgulla hai, khaoge?" (There are Rasgullas', want to have them?) Suyodhana asks and I involuntarily smile.
"Awashya." (Sure) Bheema answers and they eat calmly, until Ananya spot them.
"Kya kha Rahe Ho?" (What are you having?) She narrows her eyes.
"Rasgulla" the two brothers mumble but she catches it.
In a second, she is standing over them, two Rasgulla in her mouth and two in her hand. We laugh at the faces of the two brothers.
Wow! She is a foodie too, it seems.
Dividing the food, we all settled on one corner, having the found food.
