Ananya POV
We have seen six episodes of the Ramayana. It had ended with Ram and Sita thinking about one another.
I had giggled all the while Ram and Sita stared at each other. While Karn looked a little mortified. He was surprised when I told him that people are very open about these things in Kaliyuga, at least to some extent.
"Ab bas." (We are done for, now.) I stated.
"Thoda aur nahi dekh sakte?" (Can't we see some more) He whines. So cute, just like a kid.
"Nahi." (Nope) I declare.
"Kyun?" (Why?) he pouts.
"Dono Mein se kisi Bua ne hum ek Pahar ke liye nahi dekha hai, unse mil kar aatein hai, fir dekhenge." (None of the two Aunts have seen us in the last Pahar, we can meet her first and then we can see.) I relent.
In an instance he is up, "Chalein?" (Should we go?) he asks.
I laugh at his eagerness. Oh God!
We walk out of the room, and head to Mata Gandhari's chambers. Where both the Bua's are most probably.
We inform a Dasi that we want to enter.
"Maharani. Rani. ne aapko aandar bulaya hai." (Queens have called you inside.) She notifies us.
"Dhanyavad." (Thank you) I thank her.
She bows and we enter the room, the room is a mess.
"Haye Bua, yeh toh darji ka ghar lag raha hai." (Haye Bua, this looks like a tailor's house.) I cry.
"Aao, Putri. Putra. Aao." (Come, Daughter, son. Come) Bus Gandhari calls.
"Kahan the itne der se?" (Where were you all this while) Bua Kunti asks.
"Aapke hi Putra ne kaha, Aapne usse bahar phek Diya, toh main nahi aayi." (Your son said, that you guys threw him out, so I didn't come here.) I shrug.
"Aarop Rani Aarop." (Accusation, Queen. Accusation.) Karn screeches. He dramatically falls in to Bua Gandhari's lap. "Mujh par Aarop lagaya ja raha hai." (I am being accused.)
"Aarop?!" (Accusation?) I join in the acting. "Mat bhuliye Surya Putra Karn, ki main Dwarka ki Raj Kumari Hun. Vasudev Krishna ki behena Krishnen Ananya Hun. Hume jhoota bula rahein aap?" (Don't you forget Son of Sun Karn, that I am the princess of Dwarka. I am Vasudev Krishna's sister, Krishnen Ananya. You are calling me a liar?)
I pull my chest straight and square my chin, showing my confidence. And making it look like I am higher up than him.
The two ladies in the room giggle under their hand, as I narrow my eyes at the prince in the room.
While, Karn looks at me, an eyebrow raised.
"Kon Hain aapke Krishna? Bhagwan?" (Who is your Krishna? God?) he asks.
I shrug.
"Aap sun rahi Hain, aap Kya keh rahin hai?" (Are you listening, to what you are saying?) he asks.
"Bhagwan Kon hai, Raj Kumar?" (Who is a God, Prince?) I ask.
He fell silent, he had no answer to it.
"Bhagwan woh hai, jo pida se Mukti dilaye, dukh sehne ki shakti de, Har rah Mein aapka saath de. Bhagwan dil Mein hotein hai, Raj Kumar, insaan ke Har astitv Mein. Humare Kan- Kan Mein jo vas kare, woh bhagwan hota hai." (God is the one, who giver relief in your pain, give you power to deal with the pain, be at your side on every part. God is in a heart, prince, in the person's existence. The one who stays in your every atom, in your every molecule, is God.) I tell him.
"Yani ki Bhagwan us insaan ka Vishwas hai, Aastha hai, dharma hai. Fir jis insaan ko jo bhagwan lage. Aur Bhai Krishna ko toh bahut log Bhagwan mante hai. Unka vishwas aur Aastha Bana hai bhai Krishna Mein." (Which means that a God must be the person's trust, conviction, faith. One can find anyone God. And many people believe brother Krishna is God. They have their conviction set on him.) I fire at him.
"Aap yeh kehna chati Hain, ki agar meri Aastha, vishwas mere Mata Pita Mein hai. Toh woh mere Bhagwan Hain?" (You want to say that, if I find conviction and trust in my parents. So, they are my God.)
"Mata Pita toh, Santana ka Sansar hotein Hain. Uske har Aastha, dharma, satya, vishwas, mat, nirbharta ke Pratik hotien hai. Praman hotein hai uske Astitva Ka." (Parents are a kid's universe. Every conviction, faith, truth, trust, opinion, reliance is symbol of the parents for their kids. They are the evidence of the kid's existence.) I answer.
"Kada chit aap Parvati Putra Ganesh ke sarv Pratham pujniye hone ki gatha bhul Gaye, Karn. Unhe sarv Pratham isi karan puja jata hai kyunki unhone apne bade bhai Kartikeya ko Sansar ke 3 chakar lene Mein haraya. Kartikeya ka ahankara tha ki woh bahut tej aur shaktishali hai, ek badha ban Gaya, aur unhe yeh nahi dikha ki unke, Mata- Pita hi unke sansar hai. Ganesh ko yeh dikh Gaya, jis ke karan varsh unhone aapne Mata- Pita ke 3 chakar kate aur Sarv Pratham Pujniye hone ka padd fir prapat kar liya."
(Maybe you are forgetting the story of why Parvati's son Ganesh is always the first one to be worshipped, Karn. He is worshipped at the beginning because he defeated his elder brother Kartikeya in taking three rounds around the universe. Kartikeya was proud of the fact that he is very fast and powerful, which become a stone in his path, and he didn't realize that his parents are his universe. Ganesh could see this, he took the rounds and this became the reason for him getting the position of the first one to be worshipped, again.) I elucidate.
Karn nods, though from his expression I can see that he is still analyzing everything.
"Kya Khoob baat kahi tumne, putri." (You said such a wonderful thing, daughter.) Bua Gandhari admires.
"Yeh sab mera manna hai, Bua. Ya woh baat hai jo maina suna ha aur Mujhe bhaya hai." (This is what I believe, aunt. Or something that I have heard and I found a liking to it.) I explain.
"Ek minute, mere upar jo aarop lagaya Gaya tha uska Kya?" (One Minute, what about my accusation ?) Karn asks.
"Ab Kya Bua, yahih bekar se aarop pe samay vyathit karegi aapna?" (Now will aunt, spend her precious time on this nonsense accusation?) I ask. "Unhe aur koi kaam nahi hai Kya?" (Don't they have any other work?) I give him a look.
"Maine sochha nahi, aap kam kijiye Ma. Hum aapko akele chod detein hai." (I didn't think, you guys should continue with your work, mom. We will leave you alone.)
"Awashya, tum dono ko koi chinta karne ki zarrorat nahi hai." (of course, you two don't need to worry.) Bua Kunti agrees, smiling at us.
We nod and race back to my room, only stopping to pick some Sweets from the kitchen.
We walk in my room and he snaps the door shut, as I settle the laptop and the things around the bed. Once settled, I play the seventh episode.
Third POV
"Aise jaane Diya unhe, Kunti. Kyun?" (You let them go like that, Kunti. Why?)
"Jiji unko saath dekh kar, achcha laga. Karn khul kar has raha tha, aise natak kar raha tha." (Looking at them together was nice, elder sister. Karn was looking happier, he was acting like that.) Rani Kunti was enlightened.
"Woh toh hai." (That was there) Maharani Gandhari agreed.
"Bas aise hi humare ghar hasta Rahe." (That is all I need, such a happy house.)
"Haye Bhole Nath, humare ghar ko humesha Khushi- Khushi rakhna." (Haye Bhola Nath, keep our home like this only happy- happy.) Maharani Gandhari prayed.
