Third POV

"Toh?" Ananya asks once the princes were introduced.

"Aap kya phad rahin thi?" (What were you studying?)

"Aap konsi bhasha phadti hain?" (Which language were you reading?)

"Aap ke wahan kya khane ko milta hai?" (What do you eat back in your time?)

"Aap aaj subhe kya chala rahin thi?" (What were you using today morning?)

"Aap kise likh rahin thi?" (What were you using to write?)

"Aap Vasudev ko Kyun pujti Hain?" (Why do you worship Vasudev?)

"Aapke Samey Mein ladkiyan ghar ke bhaar kam karne ko tayaar hai?" (In your time are girls ready to work outside?)

"Aapne woh chalna kahan se sikha, jo aap subh chala raheen thi?" (Where did you learn to use what you were using today morning?)

"Aap ne Kya pehen hai?" (What are you wearing?)

All the kids asked at the same time and the mothers started to scold them. But they were interrupted by Ananya, who was laughing.

"Hey Ma Durga!" (Hey Mother Durga!) she said as she tried to stop laughing.
"Kshama kijiyega." (Pardon me) She says when everybody looks at her funny.

Then continues, "Maine suit pehena hai?" (Maine suit pehena hai?) she asks more than saying to Dushala. Who nods in understanding.

"Hmm," she turns to the princes. "Jo shastra main aaj subh pryog kar rahi thi usse gun, kehetein hai." (The shastra, I was using today morning is called a gun.)

"Gun?" Prince Arjun frowns.

"Ji Rajkumar."

"Aap yeh kabse chalatin hai?" (Since when are you using this?) Ang- Raj Karn asks.

"Jabse main 10 saal ki thi." (Since I was 10.)

"Woh bahut achcha tha." (That was very nice.) Prince Arjun says awkwardly.

"Dhanyavad." (Thank You) She says with a smirk.

"Didi?" (Elder sister) Dushala asks.

"Haan?" (Yes)

"Aapke kandhe par who kya hai?" (What is that on your shoulder?)

"Kahan?" (Where?) Ananya asks as she at her side.

"Yeh." (This) Dushala asks as she points at the left collar bone of Ananya.

Ananya smiles as she runs a hand on it, the thing is not a very big one but is clearly visible in her dress, she is wearing. "Isse Tattoo kehetein hai." (We call this tattoo.)

"Tattoo?" Dushala asks confused.

"Hmm, yeh meri tvacha mein banaya gaya hai, hamesha ke liye." (Hmm, this is made into my skin, forever) Ananya says.

"Par apne aapne kandhe mein yeh kyun kar waya?" (But why did you made this in your collar bone?) Duryodhana asks, confused.

"Kyunki unko maje mein dard lene ki addat hai." (Because she takes up pain in fun.) Ashwatthama says sarcastically.

The princes look at him with a are- you- serious- face. While Ananya had excitement in her eyes.

"Bachaliya Ma Durga!" (You saved me, mother Durga!) Ananya exclaims happily.
"Mujhe laga ki yahan sare Gambhir aur khadoos hain." (I thought everyone here is serious and strict in nature.)

Ashwatthama smiles at her in return, amused that he could excite the Kaliyuga girl. He never thought that she would even talk to them sitting like this.
But then if she could threaten Dushassan in court and go against Mama shree in front of everyone, I steel my heart to see what all she can do and does.

"Kya matlab hai iska?" (What does it mean?) Sehdev asks pointing at her collar bone, which was in scrutiny of Rani Kunti's eyes, she was softly mumbling explaining it to Maharani Gandhari.

"Yeh, pustakon par aadharit hain, jo maine phadi hai." (This is based on some books, I have read.) Ananya says.

"Kaise Kiya jata hai yeh?" (How is this done?) Rani Kunti asks.

"Yeh tvacha par sui puncher ke dvara Kiya jata hai." (This is done by punching a needle in the skin) Ananya explains trying to reduce the horror.

"Puncher matlab?" (Puncher meaning?) Arjun asks.

"Tvacha par...... sui se...... prahar kar ke?" (By poking the skin?) Ananya answers unsure.
"Woh Kya kartein hai ki ek sui ya ek se adhik sui letein hai aur tvacha mein gard kar rang skin mein ghussa tein Hain. Issi se yeh dikhta hai." (What they do is, take one or more needles and then push it into the skin to put some ink in the skin, and thus this is visible.)

"Yeh dardnak raha hoga" (It must have been painful) Nakul says.

"Yeh tha, aur Maine haddiyon ko todne ke dard ka bhi anubhav kiya hai." (It was, and I have experienced the pain of breaking bones) Ananya agrees, shivering a little.

"Aapne apni haddiyon ko kaise toda?" (How did you break your bones?) Bheema asks.

Ananya waved it off. Bheema pouted a little but nodded.

"Aur kya puchana hai?" (What else do you guys want to ask?)  Ananya asks.

"Khana" (Food) Bheema perks up.

Ananya smiles while the Pandeva's shake their heads. "Mukhya bhojan vaise hi hai, lekin nay vyanjan bhi hain" (staple food is the same, but new dishes are there too)

"Jaise?" (Like?) Duryodhana asks.

"Kain Hain." (There are many) Ananya replies. "Kabhi agar mujhe samagri milati hai, toh main kuchh pakvan banaaungi" (Anytime, if I get the ingredients, I will make some dish.)

"Khana banaana pasand karti ho?" (Do you enjoy making food?) Maharani Gandhari asks.

"Nahi." (Nope.) Ananya shakes her head. "Mere pariwar ke jane se phele, main kabhi kabhi hi rasoi ghar gati thi. Char saal se koi aur nahi hai toh khana banaane ki zimedari meri ho gayi." (Before my parents died, I rarely went in the kitchen. Since last four years, cooking is my responsibility.)

She gives a sigh before brightening up and saying, "Bhagwaan Mujhe who din na dikhaye, jis din mere dost jo mere saath rehtein hai woh rasoi ghar mein kadam rakhein." (May the lord, not show me the day when, my friends that are my roommates, enter the kitchen.)

"Kyun?" (Why?) Yudhishthira asks, muddled.

"Kyunki Mujhe wapas ek aadha Jala Hua rasoi ghar Mila." (Because, on coming back I found half burnt kitchen)

All of them gasped in surprise, they didn't expect that the situation would be so sever. While Ananya grimaced remembering the incident. She shook her head and turned to stare at the people in front of her, they looked comical.

"Kaise?" (How?) Ashwatthama asks.

Ananya shrugged in response, "Woh toh, woh teen bhi nahi jante." (That is not known by them too.)

A Dasi enter the room, "Maharani. Rani Kunti, Maha Mahim aur Maha Mantri, aap dono ko bula rahein Hain." (Maharani. Rani Kunti, Maha Mahim and Maha Mantri are calling you both.)

The two ladies nod, "Hum chaltein hai." (We take your leave) Maharani Gandhari says to the kids.

"Zarror Jao, Bua." (Sure, go, Aunt) Ananya smiles at them.

"Ladna mat. Aur nahi meri Putri Ananya ko koi tang karega. Theek hai?" (Don't fight. And none of you guys are disturbing my daughter, Ananya. Ok?) Rani Kunti warns them. The princes nod in understanding.

"Didi, main bhi ja rahin hun. Kam hai Mujhe." (Elder sister, I am also going. I have some work.) Dushala says. (A/N I had forgotten of her presence. Oops)

"Koi dikat nahi hai, Shala." (No problem, Shala.)

All the left residents, stare at their receding backs. Once, they are gone all the guys in the room look everywhere but at Ananya. Who notices it and tries fighting her laugh.

"Aap sab itane tanav mein Kyun Hain?" (Why are all oy you so tense?) Ananya asks, a small smile playing on her lips.
