Third POV

"Mitr, Ashwatthama aur main usse Ladki se milen ja rahein hai, mata ka adesh." (Friend, Ashwatthama and I are going to meet that new girl, mom's orders.) Duryodhana meets Karn outside his chamber, that late afternoon.

"Chalo, Mitr." (Come on, friend) Karn agrees, nodding in the direction.

On the way they meet Dushala and Maharani Gandhari. She informed them that the Pandeva's and Rani Kunti will be joining them.
Duryodhana made an annoyed face but didn't comment.

They met the other group at her gate, the Dasi went in informing Ananya of the arrival of Maharani Gandhari and Rani Kunti. Ananya allows them to enter.

The two groups enter her chambers, unlike yesterday night the room was clean and clear. Nothing was out of place on the floor of tables. There was a sweet scent in the air, they realized it was the dup and Agarbatti she had lit.

Sitting there was Ananya, at the foot of her bed, with her chest resting against the bed frame she held her head on her left hand while was holding something in her left that she was constantly hitting against the book in front of her.

Having said that her room was clean, her bed was a mess. There were books strewn all over it. Along with two- three small sack like thing. Dushala remembered she called it a Basta (Bag).

Ananya was wearing a strange thing, it seemed that the top was a black colored one with flowers on it and the bottom was pink colored. (A/N outfit above.)

Ananya was wearing a strange thing on her nose, it was slender, and looked quite fragile. It was very big and most her face around the eyes were lost under it. What was it?
She was frowning and looking at the book with utmost concentration. She didn't even notice them, even though there were loud clinking of anklets, worn by the ladies.

"Putri?" Rani Kunti calls her.

"Aiye bua, beithiye." (Come, Aunt. Sit) She says without looking up and pointing on the right side of bed that was empty. "Mujhe do minute dijiye." (Give me two minutes.)

Rani Kunti and Maharani Gandhari take the seat while the princes stand, looking at the girl in front of them. She was scribbling something on a book with lines using the thing in her right hand. Her left hand now, holding one of the books in front of her.

Swiftly, Ananya shuts her book, along with the others and piles them up. Without looking at them, she picks early the ten thick books and places them on the side table, dividing it into two parts, she turns around.

She smiles at them. "Wah Bua! Aap toh itne saare log le aye. Mujhe laga aap dono ko mujhse koi bat karni thi." (Wow Aunt. You bought many people, and here I thought, you two wanted to talk to me.)

"Tumhe koi bat karni thi?" (You had something to talk about?) Maharani Gandhari asks.

"Nahi, Bua. Main toh aise hi boli." (No, Aunt. I was just saying like this only.)

"Aap ke akh par Kya hai?" (What is that on your nose?) Prince Arjun asks. Unable to keep his silence. Yudhishthira elbows him, scolding him through eyes.

"Mere nakh par? Kuch nahi." (On my nose? Nothing.) Ananya says as she touches her nose.

"Are! Didi jo aapke ankh par hai." (Oh! Elder sister, one that is on your eyes.) Dushala says.

"Oh! Yeh? Yeh Chashma hai." (Oh this? These are Specs.) Ananya says. "Meri na ankhein kharab hai. Mujhe dur ka nahi dikhta." (My eyes are weak. I can't see anything that is far off.)

"Fir aaj subh?" (What about today morning?) Ang- raj Karn asks.

"Maine lenses peahene the. Uske karan hi, aaj subh Balram Bhaiya ne utna gussa Kiya." (I was wearing lenses. It was because of it, that Balram Bhaiya was so angry.) She shakes her head in exasperation.

"Lenses kya hota hai?" (What are Lenses?) Prince Sehdev asks.

"Yeh" (This) she says as she takes a box kept on her pillow and shows it to the visitors. "Yeh meri ankh Mein, yahan par ghus jata hai." (This settles in my eyes, here.) she shows them the eye ball of her eyes.

"Oh" They all look awed. Ananya hums in return, as she keeps the box back.

"Boliye, aap log kon hai." (Tell me, who all you are.) Ananya asks as she looks expectedly towards the people in her room.

"Main Ang- Raj Karn hoon." (I am Ang- Raj Karn.) King Karn says. "Sut- Putra." (Sut- Putra)

"Kya yeh aapka parichey hai?" (Is this your introduction?) Ananya raises an eyebrow.

"Haan." (Yes.)

"Kshama Ang- Raj. Shayad aapko apne Jaati ya varg se farak padta hoga, Mujhe nahi padta. Deivayanta kule janmo madayanta tu pourusham." (Pardon me Ang- Raj. Maybe you care about your caste but I don't. Birth and family are related to fate but your own talents may be physical strength or intellect.) Ananya tells him. The people were awed with her knowledge of shlock's. She had said that they weren't so in to Sanskrit, so they didn't think she would keep some knowledge about this.

"Main ek Brahmin Hun, kshatriya ke saath phadai ki hai, Vaishya ke saath ladai aur sutra ke saath baith kar khana khaya hai. Mere liye Jaati, Varg kuch nahi hai. Main yeh bhi aashaye karungi, ki aap sab mein se koi bhi kisi ke bhi, kisi ke jaati ka baat nahi karenge." (I myself am a Brahmin, I have studied with kshatriya's, fought with Vaishya, and had food with Shudra people. I don't care about this caste. And I also hope that you also won't talk about anybody's caste.) Ananya elaborates further.

"Aap yeh kehtin hai ki aapko jaati se koi farak nahi padta, aur fir ye bhi kehtin hai ki aapne kiske saath Kya Kiya hai?" (You say, you don't care about people's caste and then tell us what you did with which caste?) Prince Bheema asks.

Ananya smiles, "Woh is liye, Rajkumar, ki main Jahan rehtin hun wahan sare jaati ke log saare kam kartein hai. Toh Mujhe pata hai ki, mere jitney dost hain usmese koi na koi toh kisi na kisi varg ka hoga hi. Hum sare brahmin toh nahin hai." (That is because, I come from a place where people of all caste come together to work together. Thus, I know, that with the amount of friends I have, somebody is going to be of some other caste. Not all of us are brahmin, right.)

"Yudhishthira, Pandu aur Kunti ma ka Jyeshta Putra." (Yudhishthira, eldest son of Pandu and Kunti mother.)
Mentally Ananya corrects him.

"Bheema, Pandu aur Kunti ma ka doosra Putra." (Bheema, second eldest son of Pandu and Kunti mother.)

"Duryodhana, Dhritarashtra aur Gandhari ma ka Jyeshta Putra." (Duryodhana, eldest son of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari mother.)

"Ashwatthama, Guru Dronacharya aur Mata Kripi ka Putra." (Ashwatthama, son of Guru Dronacharya and Mata Kripi)

"Arjun, Mata Kunti aur Pandu ka Putra." (Arjun, son of mother Kunti and Pandu.)

"Nakul, Mata Kunti aur Pandu ka Putra." (Nakul, son of mother Kunti and Pandu.)

"Sehdev, Mata Kunti aur Pandu ka Anuj Putra." (Sehdev, youngest son of mother Kunti and Pandu.)
