Ananya POV

I, Ananya Sitara Kumari, am fed up. I have had enough of this Mr. Malhotra. This was the last year here, so I am trying to stop herself from bursting out on him. I am studying to become a Lawyer, actually. After this year, I will complete my four- year tenure and all left after that are nearly three years, to actually go in a court and fight for somebody's innocence.

But now, I am mere minutes away to smash Sir Malhotra's head on the table. With that sneer on his face, I wonder if he was the Indian version of Severus Snape. That man bloody pulled it off well, for sure.

"Ms. Kumari, is that it?"

"Yes, Sir."

"Very Well. You may return." He drawled.
And I sighed, like every year I will not score full in his subject.

I had a reputation in my college, I excelled every class except his. I was always at no.1 position, because the child, Reyansh Khanna, Indian Snape preferred was not good at the others. Some idiotic piece of art work that Reyansh Khanna is.

Third POV

That evening after biding good bye to her last room- mate and friend Sakshi, she returned to her room. She had lost her family few years ago in the Kedarnath flood. She had blamed it on Lord Shiva. As also she was a complete devotee of Lord Vishnu, majorly of his Krishna form, so it wasn't much deal to blame Lord Shiva. Her belief in Lord Shiva was shaken but it didn't affect her love for Lord Narayan. He was her brother, friend and lord all in one.

So, for this 5 day break she was visiting Puri, Odisha. She was going to Lord Jaganarth's temple. With the money she got from Government for losing her parents and the savings her family had kept for her was enough to let her enjoy few days of holidays.

When that flood happened, she was 18 year and 10 months old. The flood had taken away her parents, her both- maternal and paternal grandparents. Their pension also was given to her. She had enough money but she worked hard because she believed in her dharma, and felt that it was her dharma to study, so she would do it.

She picked her bag pack and started putting things in it. In there went her lenses, her specs, her charger, laptop, some study books, notebooks, one novel, lip gloss, eyeliner, a box of chocolate (that was very big.), a big bottle of coke, my head phones, ear phones, pens and pencil.
She even took the extra coffee she had bought few days prior; she needs coffee when she studied. This bottle set would last two months she savored her coffee.

She put a few new notebooks in her suitcase along with some more pens and pencil, and her jewelry box, it contained all the favorite jewelry that she had inherited. She didn't know why she was doing it but she was keeping everything extra. Clothes and shoes as well. She was travelling by train so no qualms of weight.

Sighing when she finished her work, she cooked a quick dinner. She was prepared to leave tomorrow. One last peaceful sleep in this dorm.

The Next morning

Ananya's POV

I got up at time and was ready to go. I was wearing, a black t- shirt and green Palazzo pants. I find them awfully comfortable. Putting on my mother's ring, which she believed was a miraculous one and Nani's necklace, which I hide under my t- shirt as much as I can. I pull my long black curvy hair in twin Dutch braids. (A/N- Outfit above)

I pull on my heels and I am ready to go. Giving a one over in the mirror. I somehow push my purse in the back pack, pull it on and push the suitcase out of the room. I give one glance at the room. I will be back in less than week, but it feels as if I am leaving for good or something.

After my visit to Puri, I am going to live in a house I bought, selling my parent's old house, it held too many memories. Their death was a hard blow, but I learnt to live with it. I have nobody in this world but one day I know I will find a family to call mine.

I book a cab, using Uber and reached the station. I reached 30 minutes prior to the time of departure of train. I like to be prior to time, ordered. People say it's from my mother. I was born on the day of Krishna Ashtami by Hindu calendar. And 17th July by English calendar. Day after tomorrow was my and Govind's birthday, I was going to spend it praying to him.

Listening to BTS, I sighed in relief as the train took its place on the station. I can, at last sit. Indian stations, were never clean and safe, I was always tense on stations. I rarely travelled through them and when I did, I at least had one of my friends.
So, I decided to take my seat in 1st AC. I looked at the chart. Surprisingly, I have no one else with me. Nice. No one to disturb. I settle down happily, and pulled out my laptop, to watch Mahabharat.

I had suddenly, created a fascination of this epic, watching Star Plus. I don't know why but I had this sudden affiliation towards it. I just loved it but I felt there were some serious changes required in it. If I ever had a chance, I would change a no. of things in it.

That night I had the food from the train tucked myself in and slept, keeping the bag close and gate locked. Also made sure the suitcase was safe.

There was a wonderful tune playing and I lost myself in it. Forgetting my essence, my righteousness, everything. It was as if I was submerged in a sea and didn't want to float to stay alive, it was as if the sound was my oxygen.

"Kya kheti ho bhena? Kaisa tha" (What do you say sister? How was it?) a man asks. He is standing opposite to me, near the Diya so I can't see his face. Only an outline of body.

"Behena?" (sister?) I asked confused.

"Kyun main tumhara bhai nahi?" (Why am I not your brother?) the man asked.

"Par..." (But...) I start confused.

"Yaad rakhna bhena, tumhari ikchcha thi ek bhai ki, woh puri hogi." (Remember sister, you wished for a brother, that wish will be full- filled) The man says before everything disappears.

I am suddenly pulled out of the slumber, looking at my phone I get to know that it is almost time for the train to reach. Sighing I rub my eyes and decide to get up.

I brush and comb my hair taking out some money from my purse, I push it in to my phone case, never display your assets. As also, you should take every step carefully in a new place, where you have never been.
