Taehyung's pov

I fell in love with a human. Such a stupid thing to do but you can't really control who you fall in love with can you? I love her so much. I would be lost without her. I know how dramatic that sounds but if you've lived as long as I have you'd understand.

It's like walking around without your senses. Everything is dull, blurry, tasteless, even as a vampire. You're incomplete. And then you find that one person that makes you whole. That one person smiles at you and suddenly your whole world explodes. Everything becomes brighter and color is sharper.

That's how it was when I met Y/n. Just one look in her e/c eyes and I was a goner. I was head over heels in love and I didn't even know her name.

I spent a week trying to figure out how to approach her and when I did it bombed. I went in all confident and cocky and she did not like that at all. She, in all but words, told me to fuck off. I went back to her the next day and apologized for how I was. I told her she made me nervous and I didn't know how to react. I was myself, nicer and not arrogant as all hell. She seemed to like that.

I spent all of my time with her because I couldn't stand to be away from her. Unfortunately that didn't sit well with some of my 'friends'. They wanted to drain her of every drop of blood. I can't tell you how many times I've fought them just to keep her safe.

I hadn't told her what I was yet. I was scared that she would become afraid of me and think me a monster so I kept it secret. That all came crashing down one night when my ex friends decided to try and attack when we were out for a walk.

She saw everything. The red eyes, the fangs, the speed and strength. When i chased them away she understandably shaken and scared. But what I didn't expect was she wasn't scared of me. She was just scared of them. She knew I wouldn't hurt her and I was so happy. I told her everything that night.

I found some new vampire friends who understood what it was like to be in love with a human. Jimin and Jungkook. Although their lovers had long since chosen to turn but I didn't want to do that to her and my new friends helped me protect her. Although we couldn't protect her forever.

We were at a little carnival having fun together. There were a lot of people and we had to hold onto each other tightly to not be separated. We walk through a big crowd and our grip slipped. Just a split second and I lost her in the crowd. I didn't worry at first until I heard her yell for me. It should have been just her searching for me but it wasn't. She was yelling for my help.

I didn't hear her anymore and I became frantic. I broke free of the crowd and saw a small out of the way area that had no one. No one but her... And them. My two old friends. They had bit her and drank most of her blood. I saw red and the next few minutes were a blur. All I remember was going after them, ripping into them with my fangs, Jimin and Jungkook helping me and then having to pull me back because she needed me. That was the only thing that could stop me was her needing me.

My eyes went to normal and I went to her. She was breathing but just barely. Her skin was pale and cold. She looked up at me weakly and gave me a small smile.

"You're here." She said.

"Of course I am. I'll always be here. I'll always protect you." My eyes welled with pinkish red tears and a few ran down my cheeks. Her hand slowly reached up and wiped them away before she payed her hand on my cheek. I placed mine over hers and held it there.

Jimin came and kneeled next to me. "You can save her." He said.

I shook my head. "I can't. I can't unless she agrees to it."

"I do." She said. "I want to be with you. You can change me. It's okay."

"Are you sure?" She nodded her head as much as she could. I carefully lifted her and we made our way to my house. I laid her on the bed and looked at the bite mark on her. A low growl came from me but I pushed it down. I was going to make it right.

As gently as I could a bit into the spot and drained what was left until she was right at the edge. I pulled away and made a gash in my wrist. I held it to her lips and urged her to drink. It took a moment before she did. I had to make her stop when it was time and I held her through the night as she changed.

The next day she was a vampire like me. She honestly was a natural at it. It didn't take her long to adjust to this way of life and she didn't have much trouble with the feeding aspect.

It's been quite a few years since then. We moved in together and we live closer to our friends now. I love her just as much as the first time I saw her. I tell her that everyday and she's told me the same. Even though I know she's more than capable of taking care of herself I will never stop wanting to protect her. And I will protect her from anything until the end of days.
