As Mindy, Anika, and Ethan walk into the drugstore with Mortimer, as soon as they enter, Mindy spots a note lying on one of the glass tables. When she picks it up, she realizes it contains instructions to make the anti-venom antidote.

"This is an old recipe for an anti-venom that will stop even a cobra's bite," Mindy reads out loud, immediately capturing the attention of the others. They all crowd around her, but she gives Ethan and Mortimer a stern "back the fuck up" look to give her some space. Which they do.

Mindy knows the importance of getting this antidote prepared quickly, and she needs room to focus on the task at hand.

"After the ingredients are gathered, they have to be combined in a centrifuge. If done correctly, the liquid will turn yellow," Mindy reads, carefully examining the list of ingredients. Some of them were crossed out, while others were still clear and visible.

"You want the package? Well, then you've got to give me the password," the man with a deep voice says, causing them to retreat down the stairs. As they head back, Chad notices a gold box and picks it up. He places it on the table and examines it, trying to see if there is a code on the box that might be the password the man is referring to.

"It's a three-digit code," Chad says, sharing his discovery with the rest of the group. Tara takes the initiative and approaches the gold box. Without hesitation, she enters the code "730," which matches the time they found on the note: 7:30. To their relief, the box opens, revealing its contents.

"730, which is 7:30, the time Cindy was supposed to be here," Tara explains as they enter the code and successfully open the box. Inside, they find money along with a note that reads, "Use the photos to get the password." Below the note, some photos seem to tell a story, potentially containing clues to unlock the password they need.

"Maybe we should recreate these scenes, and then we can find clues in the spot," Quinn suggests, and the rest of the group seems to agree with the idea.

"Ingredient one: A pinch of hem. Hem-whatever else that is. It's crossed out, so I can't tell. Ethan and Anika walk over to the shelf, ready to search for the necessary ingredients.

As Mindy continues to read out the ingredients, Ethan and Anika quickly grab random items that seem to be close to the first three mentioned. Ethan focuses on the top shelves because he was like 6 feet, reaching for what he can find, while Anika diligently looks through the items on the bottom shelves because she was like 5'4 feet.

"Ingredient four: One petal from an evening flower. Five: One pebble that causes water to bubble," Mindy reads aloud, but unfortunately, they can't seem to find these specific items on the shelf. They search around, checking the glass display cases and the other shelf, hoping to spot the elusive ingredients.

Amidst their search, Mortimer stumbles upon a small platflint with the label "Curious Chemicals." He quickly brings it over to the table, and they examine it to see if it contains the missing ingredients.

"You can demonstrate hydrophobia by adding calcium carbonate to water. When the calcium carbonate touches water, the resulting process leads to carbon dioxide, which means it's gonna bubble. We need calcium carbonate," Mindy reads from the platflint.

The group now understands that calcium carbonate is the ingredient they need to fulfill the requirement for "one pebble that causes water to bubble." Their focus shifts to finding this crucial component that could complete the antidote and save Wes.

"Can I, like, dance on the pole? Since, you know, troublemaker," Quinn suggests, leaping onto the dance floor with the pole. Amber, holding the money, starts shaking it in her hand, adding to the performance. Quinn begins to dance on the pole, embracing the playful moment.

However, their lighthearted moment is abruptly interrupted when the snake woman suddenly appears, forcefully kicking open the door. The group quickly reacts, trying to find a hiding spot within the room, their hearts pounding with fear. They hold their breath as the snake woman scans the area, hoping to go unnoticed.

The snake woman seemingly ignores the group's presence and continues to search elsewhere, giving them momentary relief. Capitalizing on this opportunity, the group hurriedly opens a door in the room they were hiding in, trying to escape the snake woman's pursuit.

As they dash out, hoping to evade her, their plan quickly backfires. The snake woman catches up to them, and before they can react, she seizes Tara, holding her up due to her shorter stature, and viciously bites her. Tara screams as the snake woman drags her out, leaving the group horrified and helpless.

"She got Tara!" Sam exclaims, feeling immense worry and guilt, as she is burdened with a sense of responsibility for not being able to protect or save Tara from harm once again.

As Wes lies down on the couch, he suddenly feels something poking his back and decides to get off the couch, with Calliope's assistance. Meanwhile, as Wes and Calliope look around the room, they hear a commotion outside. Without warning, the snake woman throws Tara into the room with them, shocking both Wes and Calliope.

"I know she chased us, and she bit me," Tara says, running to Wes for comfort and support. Wes shows her the note he found, and she reads it carefully, trying to make sense of its meaning.

"Maybe we should start by looking around this room or the lounge," Tara suggests, eager to contribute to the group's efforts. She and Wes share a determined look to work together and explore their surroundings for any possible clues or solutions.

"We're not going to die if we try and save this town and the others," Sam says, trying to give the others reassurance.

While walking in place and around, Sam finds a cup holder that says "cold," while Amber finds a pack of cigarettes that says "green." When they discover these clues, they search the room and, under one of the tables, they find the word "snakes."

They realize that they have to put the words in order while using the pictures and also try to match the objects with the photos since this had worked before.

Upon seeing the image, Wes notices a string on the wall where the image was, and when he pulls it, the wall opens. The two gasp, shocked by what they find inside.

Wes picks up a note that reads, "Place me on the horizon." Before they can figure out what they need to put on the horizon and where exactly the horizon is, they hear Three and Mortimer calling Wes's name. The two quickly run back to join them.

The three look a bit confused to see Tara in the same room as Roi, but she explains that she got bit. This makes Ethan almost roll his eyes, thinking, "Of course, she almost got bit. This girl always walks into danger."

"We made the right antidote, so drink it," Ethan rushes, pushing his thoughts aside, and gives the two the antidote. He feeds them the antidote as they gag at its taste.

But Yes, they are fortunate that they drank the antidote in time. They thank the others and quickly run out of the lounge to meet up with the rest of the group.

As the group at Fat Man Slim's had figured out the password and was about to give it to the man, they see the other group with Wes and Tara running inside. Wes and Tara explained how they managed to get the antidote in time.

When they did, Sam hugged Tara real quick, thanking her for being okay. Tara tried to calm her down, assuring her that everything was fine. Meanwhile, Quinn told the man the password, which was "Green snakes in cold grass," and it was correct.

"Head downstairs, I'll be down there shortly," the man says, opening the hole briefly before closing it again, and then he goes down to meet the others.

"Well, well, look at this lot," the man says, walking up to the group.

"Oh, hi!" Quinn says, twirling her hair in a suggestive way with a flirty tone.

"Each of you takes a card," the man said as the back door opened, which makes the group jump.

"What was that?" Amber asked, startled by the sudden opening of the back door.

"That's Rodrigo and his friend," the man explains as Rodrigo and his friend carry something huge for the group, covered up. They walk over to the table where the group is seated.

"He's my manservant." The man explained.

"I didn't know some man in the '70s could be this hot. Hi, Hotties!" Quinn whispers to Tara, making a playful comment. Then she tries to engage the men in conversation, but they remain silent and avoid eye contact. They proceed to place the covered item on the table before unveiling a Jenga-like tabletop game with a snake-themed design.

"It's time to play the Serpent's Game, where the ante is your life. Inside the tower, there's a golden brick, and it's up to you to find it and place it on the pedestal right there. If you topple over the tower, you go into the death challenge. No vote. Flip your cards over. Now, that's the order you go in," the man explains, pointing to the pedestal. The group's jaws drop at the mention of how the death challenge is going to be different this time. After he explains the rules, the group turns their cards around, determining the order they will go in.

As they each take their turn, different things happen. Quinn appears a bit fussy and nervous, Tara takes her time carefully analyzing the tower, and Amber seems to be in a bad mood, being bitchy to everyone, including Tara, due to her current state of mind. Meanwhile, Anika's handshakes, and she almost knocks the tower down but manages to steady herself and avoid disaster. The tension and pressure of the game are evident as they proceed through the challenge.

"Guys, maybe one of these blocks that actually provides structural integrity could be the one with gold," Wes suggests, trying to help the group focus on the most stable blocks to find the golden one.

"So basically, it's a suicidal mission, just like the one we're in right now," Mindy remarks, acknowledging the high stakes and danger they are facing in the challenge and the overall situation.

"Yeah, basically," Wes agrees, considering piling a tile, but Chad stops him just in time.

"You almost died trying to help us, Wes. Maybe I could do this for you," Chad says, expressing his concern for Wes's safety and suggesting that he takes the risky task instead. Ethan looks worried, possibly due to Chad's choice of words and the implications it holds.

"Chad, you can-" Ethan starts to say but is interrupted by Wes, who jokingly remarks, "You are a daredevil. You can jump across this table and stop me if you want to." Wes lightens the mood with humor, but Amber takes this opportunity to stand up and make a speech.

"How are you literally the daredevil, and you're not going to take a chance for all of us?" Amber says, her tone a mix of frustration and disbelief. Her question catches everyone's attention, and they look at her as if she's crazy for expecting Chad to take such a dangerous risk.

"Amber-" Tara tries to intervene, but Amber shushes her, determined to continue her speech.

"I was just saying he almost died trying to help the group, and you didn't even try to offer to make the antidote," Amber says, addressing Chad's hesitation to take risks and how he didn't contribute to finding the antidote. Her words hit a nerve with Chad, making him feel a little upset with the way she presented her speech. The tension in the room rises as emotions run high.

Chad responds with a sarcastic chuckle and a smile, asking, "You want me to do it?" His tone suggests he's not taking Amber's speech seriously and is trying to brush off the tension with humor.

"Yeah, you should," Amber replies with an annoyed expression, standing her ground despite Chad's sarcastic response. 

"Don't listen to her, Chad," Ethan whispers to him, trying to reassure him that he shouldn't feel pressured to act just because Amber said so. Ethan wants Chad to know that her remarks about him not being helpful are unfounded, and he shouldn't let her words affect his decision. 

"If you're the daredevil of this group, prove it," Amber says, seemingly pushing Chad's last button with her challenging words. The tension in the room reaches its peak as the group watches Chad, waiting to see how he will respond to Amber's provocation. 

"All right, here, check this out," Chad says defiantly. Despite Ethan's attempts to stop him and talk him out of it, Chad pulls out a random tile that clearly destabilizes the tower, causing it to collapse. Everyone gasps, and Ethan freezes in shock as he witnesses the tower falling apart. To everyone's surprise, Chad hands Amber the golden tile, showing that he managed to find it amidst the chaos. The room falls silent, with emotions running high and the consequences of Chad's daring move sinking in.

"You're happy now?" Chad asks, his voice tinged with frustration before he walks over to a corner of the room. Ethan follows him, likely to check on his well-being.

"You suck for doing that, you know," Ethan says directly to Amber, expressing his disapproval of her provoking Chad into taking such a risky move. He likely feels that her challenge put unnecessary pressure on Chad and led to the tower collapsing. 

Amber places the tile on the pedestal, and as she does, the chest beside it opens, revealing the serpent's head and a note. They place the head on the table and put the eyes on it. As Amber reads the note out loud, "Two must be selected by vote and search the innards of a serpent to claim a heart." The room and the walk back into the lounge were filled with silence as everyone is still in shock from what Chad had done for Wes.
