MANDARIN ORIENTAL HYDE PARK, LONDON HOTEL

saturday
10am

i woke up to the sunlight shining in through the window, casting a warm glow on the room. i stretched my arms and let out a yawn, feeling a bit groggy from the late night before. i looked at the clock on the bedside table and saw that it was 10am. i sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes, trying to fully wake up. i grabbed my phone and checked my notifications, seeing a few messages from my manager and family members.

i got out of bed and walked over to the bathroom, turning on the shower to let the water heat up. i undressed and stepped under the warm water, feeling the steam envelop me and wake me up even more. i stood under the stream of water for a few moments, letting it wash over me and soothe my muscles. as i washed my hair, i couldn't help but think about the previous night's show and how well it had gone.

after my shower, i wrapped myself in a towel and walked back into the bedroom. i dried my hair with a hairdryer and then went over to my suitcase to pick out an outfit for the day. i settled on a casual and comfortable look, choosing a a miniskirt and a small sweater, pairing it with a leather jacket. i got dressed and then sat down at the vanity to do my hair and makeup.

after contemplating on what id eat for breakfast, i settled on ordering room service. i picked up the room service menu and began to flip through the pages, trying to decide what i was craving for breakfast. after a few moments of indecision, i finally settled on a plate of pancakes and some fruit. i picked up the phone and dialed the number for room service, placing my order and waiting for my food to arrive.

i entered the eventim apollo arena, the venue for tonight's performance. i was greeted by a flurry of activity as crew members and technicians scurried around, setting up the stage and sound equipment. the atmosphere was electric, and i could feel the excitement building inside me.

backstage, the makeup artists and stylists immediately got to work on me. they styled my hair and touched up my makeup, making sure i looked perfect for the show. as they worked, i could feel the energy and nerves building up inside me.

i mentally ran through the set list, going over the songs i would be performing and how to interact with the crowd. i was determined to give a stellar performance, and i could feel the pressure mounting with each passing minute.

once the stylists had finished with me, i took a moment to sit alone in my dressing room. i closed my eyes and took deep breaths, trying to calm my nerves. i knew i needed to stay focused and be in the right headspace for the show.

after a few moments of quiet reflection, i heard a knock on the door to my dressing room. daisy poked her head in, "hey! just wanted to check in on you." she said.

"hey...i'm doing great." i said with a smile. "i'm sorry i haven't had a real chance to speak to you, things have been so- crazy." i said whilst sighting before continuing, "but god, you're killing it out there. the crowd loves you everytime!" i then clapped with the biggest smile imaginable, i was genuinely so ecstatic that my best friend was opening for me.

daisy chuckled, "oh, please. you're the one they're all here to see." she said modestly. "besides, the only reason they're even giving me a chance is because they love you." i shook my head, knowing that daisy was underestimating herself.

"oh shut up." i said while rolling my eyes playfully. "you need to go on your own tour, and you know it."

"ah, don't tempt me." she replied with a smirk. "i might just steal your spotlight." she poked my arm playfully before continuing, "but seriously, you're gonna kill it tonight. you always do."

i smiled at her words, feeling the nerves and excitement bubble up inside me once again. "thanks, daisy. i hope you're right." i said, feeling a mixture of both anxiousness and determination.

10pm

i sat on the couch in my dressing room, still coming down from the rush of the show. i had just changed into some comfortable clothes, and was now scrolling through my phone, responding to some of the hundreds of notifications and messages i had received after the performance.

just then, a knock at my door was heard. "come in." i called out.

the door opened and one of the security guards walked in. "we need you to get outta here now, before all of the fans block the drivers exit." he explained.

i nodded in understanding. it wasn't my first time dealing with this situation, and i knew how chaotic things could get when fans were involved. i quickly grabbed my belongings and followed the security guard out of my dressing room.

as we walked through the back exit, my eyes traveled towards the figure leaning against the building. he was tall, probably around 6'2 or taller, and was casually smoking a cigarette. something about his energy felt familiar, but i couldn't quite place it.

"great performance tonight." the voice belonged to the man who was smoking the cigarette. he had a deep voice with a heavy british accent.

i looked at him more closely as he spoke, suddenly realizing who it was. it was callam turner. my heart skipped a beat as i realized he had come to see the show. "callum." i said, feeling a mixture of surprise and excitement. "what are you doing here?" i walked towards him, a small smile forming on my face.

"i just wanted to see the performance." he replied, taking a drag of his cigarette and blowing the smoke away from me. his eyes never left mine, and i felt a flutter in my stomach.

i smiled warmly and laughed softly. "i didn't see you in the vip area." i pointed out.

callum chuckled, taking another drag of his cigarette before answering. "i didn't wanna be seen by the crowd, or the cameras." he explained, looking around to make sure no one was eavesdropping on our conversation.

"got it..." i bit my lip as i swayed forwards and backwards on my feet a bit awkwardly. "well, i hope you enjoyed the show."

"i did, you were amazing as always." he replied, his gaze still locked on me. there was something about the way he was looking at me that made me feel both flustered and intrigued.

i narrowed my eyes and spoke, "you're so mysterious," i said while crossing my arms.

callum chuckled at my remark, throwing his head back as a smirk spread across his face. "what do you mean?" he asked, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine.

"i mean, what celebrity doesn't have an instagram." i said.

callums smirk only widened as i brought up his lack of a social media presence. "oh, you've been checking up on me?" he asked, leaning against the building with a cocky grin.

i blushed at his words, realizing that he had caught me red-handed. "i was just curious." i said, trying to play it cool.

callum chuckled, clearly amused by my reaction. "well, maybe i prefer to keep some things private." he said, taking another drag of his cigarette.

i smiled before looking back to see the driver holding the car door open and staring at me with wide eyes.

"i should go...thanks for coming though." i said to callum.

callum nodded in understanding, "yeah, you should probably go." he said, tossing his cigarette to the ground and stomping it out with his shoe. "i'll see you around." he added, his eyes never leaving mine.

"hopefully soon." i replied as i backed up.

callum gave me a lopsided smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he watched me slowly back away. "yeah, hopefully soon." he repeated, his accent thick as he spoke. as i started to walk away i heard callum's voice. "kacey! wait." he said.

i stopped in my tracks, turning around to face callum once more. he had called out my name, and i was curious to see what he wanted.

"come here for a second." he said, gesturing for me to come closer. i hesitated for a moment, not quite sure what was going on, but curiosity got the best of me. i walked back towards him, stopping a few feet away from where he was standing.

"you have a gap day...in between tonight and your next concert." he pointed out.

"someone's done their research." i said with a small giggle.

callum chuckled, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he replied, "yeah, i did a bit of research." he said with a sly grin. "and since you have a gap day, i was wondering if you wanted to hang out during that time." he added, his eyes searching my face.

i was taken aback by his question. hang out? with callum turner? "um...yeah, sure." i said, a mix of surprise and excitement in my tone.

callum's face lit up as i agreed to hanging out with him. he took a step forward, closing the distance between us. "great. so, i'll come pick you up tomorrow morning?" he asked, a hint of smugness in his voice.

i was still trying to process the fact that callum turner had just asked me to hang out. "yeah, that sounds good." i said with a nervous smile. "here." i said as i wrote the name of the hotel on his hand using a sharpie from my pocket.

callum chuckled as i wrote the name of the hotel on his hand. "do you always keep a sharpie on you?" he asked.

"there's no telling when i come across a fan who wants my autograph but doesn't have a sharpie." i said as i put the marker back in my pocket only to be met by callum giving me a strange look. "what? it's not weird it's called thinking ahead." i argued.

callum raised an eyebrow, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "yeah, thinking ahead." he said in a playful tone. "or just a little bit paranoid." he paused before continuing, "you could've asked for my number and just texted me."

"i doubt you even check your phone that often, you don't look like the type to." i said.

callum laughed, shaking his head. "you know me so well." he said sarcastically. "but honestly, you're not wrong. i don't check my phone very often, and even when i do, i don't respond to texts or calls right away." he admitted. "i'm more of a 'return calls and texts at my own pace' kind of guy." he added, a hint of amusement in his voice. "so, i guess that's where your little sharpie comes in handy." he joked, holding up his hand to show off the hotel's name written on his palm.

i chuckled, feeling my cheeks heat up slightly. "yes, my sharpie is always ready to save the day." i joked back before walking to the car and offering callum a small wave. "how about 9?" i yelled out to him as i realized we hadn't picked a time.

"9 works for me." callum replied, a smirk playing on his lips. as i got into the car, i couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement in my stomach. tomorrow was going to be interesting.
