HUNTRESS.
025. | ❛ you learn a thing or two.

"Aah! It's been quite a while since I time-jumped far enough to experience side effects. Fond memories." Rip said squealing, while holding his forehead as he got off his chair.

"I can't feel my face." Jax mumbled , grabbing his jaw.

"Fine feel I." Leonard said, reversing his words making Crystal smile at the side effects happening yet she felt some of the headache embowed in her.

"Linguistic dysplasia, that should pass shortly." Rip touched Leonard's shoulder returning to the center

"Better it now." Leonard said confused looking at Crystal, who shook her head as his words were still in reverse.

"Am I the only one who can't feel their face?" Jax said once more

"I can't feel my... I better not say." Ray said bashfully, covering his private area.

"Mr. Rory and Ms.Pierce appear unaffected."

"Actually I'm experiencing some nauseous symptoms, so if I puke, I'm truly sorry." Crystal said resting her head against the chair.

"Duly noted." Stein said

"What's going on? We time-jump?" Mick asked

"Yeah, we time-jumped. But where to? is the better question." Sara asked slightly at a delay

"The town of Salvation, the Dakota territory, 1871." Rip informed us

"I can't believe it... the Old West." Ray was simply excited by the fact of being in this small old town.

"This isn't going to work." Mick said

"It'll buy us time. We can hide out here while the Hunters search the other Fragmentations." Rip disputed with him.

"What if they decide to check this place first?"

"You know, feel free to loop us in whenever it's convenient." Crystal said

"As you've seen, time doesn't operate as is generally thought. It wants to happen. It takes time to harden. The... the timeline is unclear on occasion, constantly in flux."

"Hence the difficulty in locating Savage throughout history." Stein added on

"Indeed. And one of the other interesting notions of time travel is the existence of Fragmentations."

"Temporal blind spots, specific places and times the Time Masters can't see." Mick said, knowing more from his time as Chronos.

"The town of Salvation and its surrounding environments are located within one of these Fragmentations."

"So, basically, we're hiding out in the Old West and hoping your boogeymen don't find us here." Leonard said finally getting up or of his seat, standing over Crystal.

"The Hunters are not boogeymen. And you better hope they don't find us." Mick spoke on his rough gruff manner to Leonard.

"Well, at least not until I get a chance to "punch a few doggies" or "bust a bronco" or two. Not that I condone animal cruelty. It's just that I watched a lot of Westerns as a kid." Ray said.

"Alas, you'll have to enjoy the Old West from in here, I'm afraid." Rip said, making the group get a little riled up.

"Oh, come on. What's the harm in us just taking a look around?" Sara asked

"With this group? Clearly, you haven't been paying attention."

"Ugh, if I'm in the Old West and I don't get to look around, I'm going to kick myself." Ray said, rhetorically

"I could help with that." Leonard smirked, receiving an eye roll from Crystal.

"I'll keep an eye on them. Don't worry. I'll be a good boy." Mick said before Rip lead the group to the closet which designed clothes specially for the time era.

"I look just like Wyatt Earp." Ray tipped his hat as Crystal fixed her dress

"Now, the fabricator can make clothing, but you're also going to need era-appropriate protection. This era can get a little, uh, rough." Rip said grabbing some guns

"Oh, six shooters?"

"Actually, most guns of that time period had hammer blocks, thus reducing the number of shots to five."

"Now, this should go without saying, but considering this group, I am going to say it... only use these weapons in the case of extreme emergencies." Rip advised the ladies before handing the guns to them.

"You make it sound like you're not coming with." Kendra took a sad time

"From your duster and revolver, I'd imagined you as much an Old West aficionado as Dr. Palmer." Stein observed

"Indeed I am. But my time is best spent back here on the ship, plotting our next move against Vandal Savage. Besides, as Mr. Rory says, it's only a matter of time before the Hunters find us here."

"Don't worry. We're not going to put down roots." Leonard twirled his heat before putting it on his head.

"Yeah, we'll stay out of trouble."

"Mm, how I hope and pray that to be true."

The team walked slowly through the town, making it obvious they weren't from this town. The Old West does give an effect of rowdy, cowboy feels. The saloons were filled with people and drinks, upon entering they could see people playing cards, and drinking away their sorrows.

"Remember, we're just here to get the lay of the land. No trouble."

"Sure that'll happen."

"I need a drink. "

"Wow. It's a real old-timey saloon." Ray marveled at his surroundings as Crystal and Stein went over to play cards.

"Didn't know you two played cards." Leonard said taking a seat next to her

"The city of New Orleans is full of gambling, you learn a thing or two." Crystal said looking at her cards.

"Like you and Ms.Pierce, Mr. Snart, I am an enigma."

"Raise." Stein said placing his money in the middle, and the others doing the same with Crystal placing her money last.

Stein placed his cards down, revealing his deck and getting glares from the other players.

"Aha. Thank you, gentlemen." Stein said grabbing the money.

"You'll have to wait a little while longer, Stein" Crystal said revealing her cards, having a higher deck than him. Stein hugged and pushed the money to Crystal, who simply just smiled.

"I'm impressed." Leonard looked to Crystal, who placed the money aside.

"There are some things you don't know about me," Crystal said, being dealt new cards. "Sometimes on lonely nights, I would see what type of trouble I would get into, soon enough a person who goes by the name of Elijah Mikaelson, taught me a few tricks on something less problematic."

"Should I be intimidated by this guy?" Leonard asked

"Why would you? I got everything I need right next to me," she said trailing her fingers over his hand, receiving a small kiss from him.

Stein again revealed his cards, having a higher deck then Crystal this time. As he reached for the money he was stopped.

"I had a full boat." The stranger who they were playing with said.

"As did I. Full of kings, which beats your pair of queens." Stein have his reasoning, making the stranger remove his hand.

A woman came over, trying to retrieve the cup of whiskey that belonged to the stranger. She was grabbed by his hand, as she looked frightened, the stranger spoke.

"Don't I look busy to you?"

"I'm sorry.I..."

"You spill another drop of that whiskey, and you will be."

"Just because you're losing doesn't mean you have to pick on the waitstaff." Stein defended her.

"Mind your own business, grandpa."

"Unhand the lady." The stranger followed his command, letting the woman go.

"Now, now, boys, let's just take it easy." Leonard warned

"Oh, when my friend here is being reasonable, we know we have a problem."

"I'm not the one with the problem. You are." The stranger quickly shot up and drew his gun, aiming at Stein but before he could hit him, Leonard shot first.

The body thumps to the ground, killing the stranger.

"You killed him." Stein blandly said

"You're welcome." Leonard replied sarcastically.

"Clearly, the deceased was a friend of yours, but my friend here..."

"Your friend drew first, got put down. It was a clean shot." Leonard said pulling Crystal behind him, not wanting for her to get hurt.

"Do we look like we care about clean?"

"He has a point." Stein said before somebody punched Leonard, resulting in Leonard punching him back, starting a brawl in the saloon.

The whole team defended one another, punching and kicking the rest of the people in the bar. Crystal sucker punched a guy in the jaw, while she shook her hand off, "that had to hurt."

Crystal attacked a guy back into a corner, pushing him into the piano, giving in a horrible noise as the stranger fell on top of it.

Then, one gunshot is fired, making the whole saloon go quiet.

"All right! Playtime's over. Anybody's got a problem with that, they answer to me." The guy came out of the shadows, the guy had an awful scar on his face as he got closer to the group.

"Thank you, Mister..."

"Hex. Jonah Hex. You're not from around here, are you?"

"No. My friends and I are, uh... from out of town."

"Way out of town. All right. Why don't you folks tell me where you're really from?"

"I'm not sure that's any of your business, sir." Crystal responded, as they exited the saloon

"Tell me when y'all from. You seven stick out like a dog in a manger."

"Like he said, we're not from around here." Jax replied

"You think you're the first time travelers I've ever come across?" Jonah Hex said

"Uh, yes."

"Where is he? I got some words that need saying."

"Where is who?" Sara asked.

"Rip Hunter."
