6. Dare Mess With My People
V usually doesn't get pissed, but when he does, that's a damn disaster. Exactly what the pair of soulmates were scared of.
As soon as the elder twin found out about the incident, Taehyung was forced to express himself because if V barged in the court to find out himself, he'd end up causing havoc. So Taehyung calmly explained to his brother who only made a calm face as he heard him say while Jimin was losing his mind inside, knowing exactly how that calmness on Dowoo's face was concealing his anger.
"...and it was sorted out anyway. You don't need to-" Taehyung finished saying but then he was interrupted.
"Did he apologize?" The elder twin asked, looking right into his brother's soul through his eyes.
"Yes he did." Before Taehyung could speak up Jimin lied, not wanting any drama but just when Dowoo faced him, he knew he shouldn't have opened his mouth.
Because why would Dowoo trust him?
He had overheard their conversation, knowing exactly how the two were practically bullied and to hear that his anger was nowhere near cooling down but wanting to be combusted.
V fisted his hands, taking a sharp breath and Jimin had to step up, holding his arm.
"Dowoo, you won't do anything okay? You don't need to. It's all fine, it has been sorted and you don't need to interfere." Jimin explained calmly, pulling out his soft card for that version of Dowoo.
Jimin saw how Dowoo stood there in a trance, spacing out with his jaws clenched, that's when Jimin came even more closer, holding his cheeks to calmly palm them to ease out the tension of anger in his jaw.
"It's okay, Dowoo, it's okay." Jimin whispered calmly and then V broke out of his trance, quickly taking a firm hold of Jimin's hand and removing them before he turned around to walk away.
"Fuck it. Jimin, he is pissed." Taehyung cursed, rushing behind his brother after carrying his step while Jimin sighed, hitting his forehead with his palm.
"This motherfucker wants trouble. Asshole."

The basketball court was occupied by the players, all of them busy practicing when V suddenly barged in, catching their attention.
Taehyung and Jimin chased their out of control monster coming alive, almost with an intention of laying someone in their casket.
The two of them held V by each arm on either side, trying to hold him back as the elder twin scanned his eyes through the entire group of males.
"Who was it?" He asked Taehyung, who held his arm for life, shaking his head in denial, showing his best puppy eyes ever.
"No Dowoo, don't."
"I ask you, who was it?" V asked in a low tone, trying to remove his hand away but Taehyung held it tighter.
"You're my best brother, my friend my-"
"It was me, any problem?" Suddenly a guy spoke up, the same one who had been messing with the two earlier.
Jimin and Taehyung snapped their heads towards the guy in unison, shaking their heads in denial, wanting that guy to step back.
V looked over, tensed eyes landing on that guy standing shamelessly straight up high, arms crossed over his chest.
"Let go of me." V whispered to the two who were holding him back.
"No, not at any cost." Jimin whispered back and V sighed.
"I'll just talk, seriously."
"No, we don't trust you."
"Trust me, just a sober talk."
"No."
"Let go of me once, I promise." V convinced the two while on the other side, the group of males were busy chatting about the three jokers there.
"If you won't let go, I'll be madder." V warned and this time the two friends passed each other glances and let him go.
V released himself out of the two best friends' grip, walking towards the male as leisurely as possible.
The guy stood in erect posture, trying to act as tough as possible and to see a cute guy in a hoodie and jeans with long dark hair covering his forehead and eyes didn't seem like any danger for him.
"Did those maggots bring you?" The guy asked and V hummed, looking down at his hands, scratching his palms with his fingers one by one.
"Those maggots go by certain names, Taehyung and Jimin." V whispered, still not facing the guy and cracking his fingers.
"Why do I need to know?" The guy asked, acting casual and that's when V looked up in a split second.
"You need to know the name, so you remember them, for the rest of your life."
And just as soon as he said, an impactful punch landed on the guy's jaw, landing the guy against the hard surface of the ground in a single go.
The group of the guys gasped and Taehyung with Jimin rushed towards V, trying to hold him back, nagging him for what he did.
Before this could get worse, suddenly everyone's attention was caught by the whistle blowing, a pair of males coming into the scene.
Taehyung and Jimin stood straight, watching how the team captain with the coach was there.
The guy who was punched was groaning on the ground, holding onto his bleeding jaw while V didn't give no two damns as he watched the coach and the captain rush in his direction.
"Kim Dowoo, what did I just witness?" The coach asked, knowing the elder twin pretty well for his excellency in sports.
V only looked into his eyes, not even a bit ashamed of what he did.
"Take him to the infirmary, right now!" The coach yelled at the guy's team mates who quickly did as they were told.
"You know you could be rusticated for this?" The coach scolded V who looked so unfazed, hand in his pockets as he watched the elder man blabber.
"You, I'm talking to you." The coach raised his voice at V who finally stood straight to pay him some attention.
"The matter was solved, wasn't it guys? If you still have a problem you could have come to me." The team captain, Yoongi spoke to the other two bedside V who were looking down with shame all this while.
"We-"
"It was me. I came here by myself." V spoke all of a sudden, looking at the captain confidently.
"And why is it V?" Yoongi asked his junior who looked so fazed.
"Because he was messing with my people." V said without any delay and Yoongi took a deep breath.
"I assume one of them is your brother?" Yoongi asked, tilting his head to look at Taehyung.
"They both are my people and if I find any inconveniences for them where they are troubled for just sitting and having their meals, I would not hesitate before standing up and making it hard for the intruder to eat for sometime." V said with nothing but honesty and anger soaring in his eyes.
"And all these players playing under my supervision are my people, that bastard and you too. So make sure to involve me in your matters from now on. I'll let you be, this time, but next time, I won't tolerate it, Kim." The coach scolded.
"I won't, as long as they are safe." V placed his condition and Taehyung couldn't help but feel that warm feeling inside, the old memories rushing back in his mind.
Despite all those fights and daily bickering, the elder brother was yet again proving to be a protective shield.
"Look at his loser. He is crying now. Why Mr. Superman? Enjoyed flying?" An elementary schooler brat mocked the young little Taehyung in the park who had nothing to do with those kids playing in the park.
Taehyung loved the slides, it was his favorite thing to do as an eight year old child. His friend Jimin would always be the one to push him on the slides until he climbs back up to Jimin back to push him while Dowoo would usually play with them but for then he was busy playing with his ball.
Jimin, Taehyung and Dowoo would play around the park all together, messing around and sometimes ending up bruising their knees but it was all a part of growing up.
They loved their slides a lot, their favorite spot after all to act like superheros.
But at the time, some elementary kids wanted to steal their spot and dominate the area as if they owned it. The little two males didn't want to leave so one of the elementary kids pushed Taehyung up from the slide, causing him to fall from the slide and hit his head and back.
Jimin couldn't see his friend getting hurt, his instant cries pleading for help when he rushed towards his friend who was nothing but a crying mess.
His brother Dowoo who was just busy playing with the ball with the rest of the other neighborhood friends spotted his brother on the ground, crying.
Dowoo didn't miss a chance to leave everything and rushed towards his brother, helping him get up who was crying with his hand on his back, noticing the spots of blood on his hand and that's when he lost his mind.
He got angry, extremely angry rather than crying like a regular child as Jimin did.
"Oh look, he has a copy. This loser has a copy." The kids continued mocking and that's what Dowoo couldn't hear more.
His chest heaved up and down with anger building up and all he saw was red. Rushing towards that four feet high slide, Dowoo grabbed the legs of the kid, pulling them to cause the elder child to fall who ended up on the ground just as miserable as he did with his brother.
And he didn't stop there, taking hold of the legs of the rest of the two other kids he pulled their legs as well, causing them to end up falling down and that was the first time Dowoo showed his anger over the others for hurting his brother.
This definitely got him in trouble but he hated every single creature on the planet to hurt his brother. He once even fought his father for not accepting Taehyung's sexuality initially and stood up for him throughout everything.
His father was scared of the world's judgment but he later had to give up and accepted his son for the best.
From that day to now, Taehyung grew up to be more and more dependent, he hated to stand out as a weaker twin but he couldn't help but lean on his brother a little more. The world has been cruel for him in many ways and Dowoo has been there to teach everyone a lesson.
They fight and act as if they don't care but for Taehyung, if it has to be one person he would want to lay his head on, it will always be his Dowoo.
The younger twin couldn't help but feel overwhelmed in the court to have his brother standing out for him. He didn't want to flex his protective brother but Dowoo wouldn't listen at all.
With all that matter being resolved, Dowoo in the end had to escort his two main people with him, one hand protectively holding Taehyung's and other holding Jimin's as he took them away with him and back to the home, just like that, in his supervision.
And the pair of soulmates let him be because they had seen that version of him after ages and knew it wasn't something to mess with.

"You know you didn't have to do it." Taehyung whispered to his brother, settled on the couch of their apartment, the elder twin was applying ointment over his sore bump while the younger simply watched his brother do it.
While Jimin was there on their single couch, being part of the silence around them.
"Yeah, might have let that bastard hit you again, at least some senses would be knocked into your head." Dowoo replied, standing up after being done doing it.
"Don't talk to Tae like that, it was just an accident and he was taken care of by the captain." Jimin added and Dowoo snapped his head in his direction.
"And don't you dare speak up." He retorted and Jimin stood up, frowning.
"What do you mean I don't dare speak up? What did I do wrong?" Jimin asked, sounding pretty hurt.
"Aren't you always trying to be a boss, thinking you can take care of everything while you're just as dumb as him? Not a while without me and you two were welcoming trouble." Dowoo scolded Jimin who sighed frustratedly, anger building up in him.
"Listen, nobody asked you to be macho there and we didn't want your help anyway. And we definitely didn't ask you to be a Superman when it was completely unnecessary."
"What is unnecessary here is your negotiation, stop fooling around."
"Fooling around!? I'm the one fooling around?"
"Guys can you two relax!? It wasn't that big of a deal to make a fuss about?" Taehyung soon yelled, interrupting the two.
"It has always been like that, whenever you two left me behind, trouble will always get in your way." Dowoo then said to the two.
"Then what do you want us to do? Carry you around like a lucky charm?" Jimin retorted.
"Just don't leave me!" Dowoo then yelled with a loud voice, soon sealing his lips as he took deep breaths as he stared at Jimin with what seemed like a bit of sorrow in his eyes.
Jimin burst like a balloon, his shoulder dropping and eyes getting softer.
It began to make sense. It all began to make sense. Dowoo had barely been able to get chances to be around the two, the two he had always been wanting to be with.
"Dowoo…"
Jimin couldn't help but get teary and that's when Dowoo looked away and rushed into his bedroom to shut the door later.
Taehyung stayed in his place, just as baffled as Jimin. His heart was too heavy to witness how his brother seemed a bit hurt.
The two of them looked at each other, a complete silence surrounding them.
"He is a bit frustrated…" Taehyung then spoke up but Jimin carried his stuff.
"He must be tired, you too. I'll get going, auntie must be waiting for me." Jimin said hastily before walking over to the folly to wear his shoes.
"Jimin… wait." Taehyung walked over to the folly.
"He didn't mean that, I bet." Taehyung whispered calmly, putting his hand over Jimin's shoulder who faked a smile.
"I know, he's an asshole. So are we. Let's sort this out tomorrow."
"Sure." With this Taehyung gave Jimin a warm hug before sending him off and being left alone as he closed the door.
He sighed as he looked at Dowoo's bedroom door.
It wasn't usual but he knew, Dowoo just felt a bit left out so he being the brother he is will make sure he won't anymore.
