35. Settling the Unsettled

Only if loving someone was under control, maybe then Jimin wouldn't be a sufferer.

Each day goes by and not a single day he doesn't think about the other one, some days he wants him back and some days he wants him dead but none of those days he never not thought about him.

What's not suitable is that Jimin is naturally very emotionally unstable and Dowoo is naturally emotionally unavailable.

This doesn't fit right and that's how struggles welcome them.

Taehyung has been with Jimin for the best or worst, again there he was hugging him and whispering sweet nothings as a way to help him feel better.

Going back to class like that would be absurd so Taehyung suggested to bunk the class and find a way to the cafeteria, treating his bestie with ice cream and also explaining his events of the night.

The crying Jimin was back to being normal when he sat on the empty bench in the university campus ground beside Taehyung, focused on his ice cream more than anything as he heard Taehyung say everything in detail.

"I told you, a talk won't harm things." Jimin said after a while and Taehyung faced his friend by slightly tilting towards him.

"But it's never easy Jimin, I haven't seen good examples of it all my life and totally I was scared that he may just-" Taehyung soon stopped speaking as he noticed the changes of expressions of Jimin who brought the ice cream cone down from his lips.

"Am I that example?" Jimin whispered, looking gently up at Taehyung who panicked.

"No, I didn't mean to say that. I'm so sorry if it came out like that." Taehyung said hastily, reaching out to hold Jimin's hand who chuckled bitterly.

"Oh lord, I'm so bummed. My worst type of bitch is coming out of me right now." Jimin said while smiling even though his eyes began to shine again and Taehyung's gaze softened, his hand reaching up to Jimin's cheek.

"Calm down, it's okay to feel every emotion but that doesn't mean you stick to it. Don't forget about the new people and the potential for a better life with them." Taehyung said sincerely and took his hand up to fix Jimin's shiny blonde hair.

"Talking of new people, I'm so happy Yoongi is a nice guy and now that the things are going well with him, don't come back to the same situation again." Taehyung then added and Jimin looked down.

"I sometimes think he's too good for me, not gonna lie. But despite everything he is such a good man that I just feel like being one of his close people." Jimin spoke and Taehyung heard him carefully.

"Take things your way, don't be too cautious that you lack the fun of it. Get to know him through your own ways, I bet you two met for a reason." Taehyung wanted to make a positive comment out of it to make him feel better and Jimin just sighed while looking away, deciding to finish his ice cream.

"Now my bitch won't be having mint choco to make someone happy, one kiss and man is already all over you." Soon Jimin said and Taehyung rolled his eyes, poking him with his elbow and Jimin teasingly narrowed his eyes at him.

"Wow, Jungkook and Taehyung are finally a thing." Jimin said and threw his hands around in the air excitedly while Taehyung smiled shyly.

"Bitch, don't you dare forget me while dating this man. Always remember, I loved you first." As Jimin warned, Taehyung smiled warmly.

"Of course I do know my bestie loves me and I do too, so don't worry, it won't ever happen."

"Yes it shouldn't! But anyway, I'm so fucking happy my ship is sailing." Jimin soon got up, wiggling his arms in the air as he did a happy dance and Taehyung giggled to see him.

"I'm the one dating, look at you losing shit." As Taehyung said he noticed how Jimin was suddenly quiet, standing straight as he noticed a man behind their bench, causing Taehyung to follow his gaze and turn his head back.

Taehyung turned his head just to only find Wooshik standing there. He just walked in.

Taehyung stood up quickly, looking at him in a guilty way.

"Hi." The nice guy Wooshik said first and Taehyung looked down.

"Hi." The blonde whispered.

"Umm, can we talk?" As Wooshik asked, Taehyung looked instantly at Jimin's face who was looking at him too, as if asking him if he should talk and Jimin just gave him a blink.

"I'm over there, when you're done talking, catch up." Jimin said to his friend before walking away, leaving the two to talk.

As Jimin left Taehyung grew very nervous because he left Wooshik that night without letting him know anything and not even replying to his texts.

After what happened with Jungkook that night, he was not in his right mind to take care of everything at once and Wooshik was one of them.

"I was looking for you everywhere that night but you suddenly disappeared. I was so concerned that I called and even texted you many times but you didn't reply, is everything okay?" Wooshik asked with pure concern that Taehyung's heart sank at his caring attitude.

"Ah… I got drunk when you were dancing… so my friend took me away… I… I'm so sorry I couldn't tell you." Taehyung whispered nervously and Wooshik's gaze softened.

"Oh, are you alright now?" He asked and Taehyung nodded.

"Anyway, don't apologize, this happens in parties. Anyway leave it… so, I was wondering…" As Wooshik started, smiling shyly, Taehyung knew he would ask something that would be loaded to him.

"Would you go to an exhibition with me? My favorite artist is doing an exhibition here after a long while and I thought I would take you with me, so, will you?" As Wooshik asked, Taehyung's gaze softened, almost as if guilt.

He used Wooshik to be his partner for the freshers night despite knowing that the other one would take his attempts in a different way and this was coming but now he's stuck.

"Umm… I am… I'm not sure." Taehyung said hesitantly.

"Why?" The guy asked in a gentle way, a smile still permanent on his face that was so worth not breaking.

"I really appreciate you. Like a lot. And thank you so much that you agreed to join me at the freshers party because you're so approachable. But…" Taehyung took a deep breath as he watched his smile gradually fade away.

"But I'm afraid my boyfriend will not appreciate this idea." As Taehyung whispered with guilt Wooshik's eyes widened.

"Oh… I didn't know you had one." Wooshik let out in a surprised way and Taehyung looked down at his hands.

"My bad, I couldn't share but everything happened so fast and…"

"Oh it's okay, don't apologize again." As Wooshik said Taehyung looked up at his face, the poor man still had that smile on his face.

"I actually liked your personality a lot. I mean you're really different from the rest of the other people around so I wanted to be a friend. But it's up to you and I get it. So can we still be on good terms of sharing 'hellos'?" As Wooshik asked, Taehyung couldn't disagree and nodded his head many times.

"Of course. I appreciate you a lot for what you do, so please don't worry about it. In fact I'll be glad if you still consider me a friend." Taehyung said sincerely, a guilty heart couldn't be any less nice.

"Then that's nice, I couldn't ask for more. See you around then." As the guy said and waved his hand before turning around Taehyung felt so bad inside.

He's too good to be true.

But that doesn't mean he put himself into a maze again because losing Jungkook at this point would be the biggest stupidity.

And he won't ever risk it.

"What is it Rebecca? Be fast please." Jungkook was standing in the corridor, stopped by the girl as he entered his department after meeting Taehyung just to only be stopped by her.

The girl looked down before looking up at him again, taking a deep breath and Jungkook was already nervous about what was going to come.

"You started ignoring me right away, what happened all of a sudden?" As she asked, Jungkook looked to the other side, then took a deep breath.

"I won't call it sudden." Jungkook whispered with a deadpan face and she turned her gaze to softer, reaching out to hold Jungkook's hand who looked down at it, furrowing.

"Jungkook please, I'm losing my mind. I have been clear about my feelings for you all this while, don't just cut me off like that." As she whispered, Jungkook first gently pulled his hand out of her hand, causing her to look down at it in a surprised way.

"Listen Rebecca, I'll be honest with you. I get you and also that I have been clear about my feelings as well all this while. I started everything on a good note as a friend and as it was Stacy for me so were you, just new friends I made in class. Nothing else." Jungkook whispered in a convincing way, trying to be just as nice as possible because he clearly held nothing against her but she looked at his face as if he just cursed at her.

"Jungkook… how can you say that? We were more than that."

"I don't know what made you feel like that but let me tell you this is what it was for me. It was you who wanted everything and I couldn't ever disagree before today because I clearly didn't want to break your heart but now I can't lie to myself anymore." As Jungkook whispered her eyes started to tear up.

"But we went to the party together, we had so much fun together."

"I have more fun with V doesn't mean I'll consider him more than a friend." Jungkook grew a bit frustrated at this point.

"Even if I was a friend to you, why are you ignoring me like that? You know it hurts." As she said, she couldn't hold back but cried and Jungkook sighed, looking at her with concern.

"It's because I'm aware of your feelings and I clearly don't wanna give you false hope because my heart belongs to someone and for this I'm so sorry Rebecca. I have no other choice. Maybe we can be on good terms one day when your feelings are settled. You deserve better." As Jungkook ended things clearly in a good way Rebecca couldn't just hold back those tears again and the next thing she received was a handkerchief by him as a gesture of care.

That's all he could do for her.

Sometimes it's better to end something that you surely know you can't risk starting. Taehyung and Jungkook were not going to risk it for anyone because they got together after going through a whole different situation that none of them could risk having again.

So some things better end from their side before it's too late.

But clearly not everyone around them thinks like that. Definitely not V.

For Stacy they were already a thing when they were together in the music club later that day. She won't let go of his arm anytime and the boy was too lost to even tell her not to.

Students were gathering to attend the classes and Jimin too was one of them to walk in, with clearly no intentions of giving two shits.

He had his headset on as he only made his way upfront, clearly ignoring everyone around him even the dark-haired one standing there by the stage looking at his way and the blonde just walked past him to go backstage to get into a certain studio.

V sighed as he just looked down.

He should be habitual of it at this point.

"You know I heard that the schedule will change, after the fresher's party we may not come to the clubs everyday but twice a week as per the new schedule. That will be so boring." Stacy informed, detaching her hand from him to stand in front of him and V didn't even spare her a glance.

"Your tournaments will start shortly too, right?" As she asked, V finally spared her some attention.

"Yeah, starting after this week."

"Wow, I'm so excited. Your team is already qualified to be the team playing. It'll be so fun. I'll cheer for you." She said happily, leaning closer to him while putting her arms around his shoulder and for a moment he held his breath but she was just not exceeding anything.

V sighed and looked away as she kept blabbering and a blonde figure appeared in front of his sight whose eyes fell on them and V's fell on how his smile dropped to see him.

He was accompanied by Yoongi of course as they were talking and smiling together until Jimin noticed them and made an emotionless face and soon turned his gaze away, walking ahead with Yoongi as they were there to carry something back to the studio.

Yoongi was still busy saying something to him until he too noticed the pair and looked away instantly as if nothing happened.

"Are you sure you'll carry it?" Yoongi asked, teasing Jimin by poking his cheek.

"Oh definitely."

"Then here you go." And saying this Yoongi carried a Casio, putting it in Jimin's stretched hands who bent down by the impact and Yoongi showed him his gummy smile, taking it back quickly.

"You better take that, little one." And then Yoongi gestured to the other thing laying there lighter than the Casio and Jimin had to agree because he was already embarrassed.

"Hit gym Jimin-ah, what are you doing?" Yoongi soon teased as he showed off by doing arm exercises with tha Casio as if it was a dumbbell and Jimin burst into laughter, throwing his head back to see Yoongi act like that until they started walking back to the studio.

And then there was V, constantly looking at him. He swore it's been days since he last saw him laugh like that or heard him giggle like that.

He doesn't understand how his heart picks up a peaceful rhythm to see him happy and it is crazy how he easily does this to his cold heart. But that rhythm was back to being abrupt to realize he wasn't the one making him laugh like that.

Stacy turned her head to find who he was staring at until she caught Jimin.

"Oh, is that your brother's friend? He didn't say hi?" She asked cluelessly and what could he possibly tell her?

He then looked away from him and sighed, taking his bag to put over his shoulder.

"This is boring, let's get away somewhere else."

And she couldn't disagree.

"Wow, now it looks like a producer's studio." Jimin said out loud in awe as Yoongi assembled those things together on an empty table.

"Thanks." The elder smiled shortly, just a spread of lips as he went back to doing what he was doing while Jimin curiously sat next to him on an empty chair.

"I assume it's a machine that produces music." As Jimin said Yoongi turned his head to face him, smiling at him warmly.

"And your assumption is right."

"How does it work I wonder?" Jimin asked and Yoongi smiled, slowly extending his arm to put under Jimin's chair until he pulled his one closer, sticking to his one and Jimin swore was suddenly captivated.

"Show your hand." Yoongi asked, and Jimin was confused but gave him his one nevertheless until Yoongi took it on his own.

The elder folded Jimin's all fingers expected for the pointed one, engulfing the rest of his hand into his very big veiny hand as he made Jimin press those discs made on the machine, producing sound of drums.

"This is an electronic drum machine you can say. It's handy and helpful for beginners, and that's how it works." As Yoongi introduced, Jimin only tilted his head to stare at Yoongi's side, long dark hair, pale skin yet a face so adorable even though he was acting so hot at the same time.

Poor blonde doesn't know how to put it all into words but he lets himself enjoy the moment.

Yoongi soon let go of Jimin's hand who fixed his posture on the chair, looking down at his own hand and smiling.

"You love music a lot, huh." Jimin started, trying to sound as normal as possible and Yoongi hummed simply.

"It's obvious at this point."

"You're given a studio in this university too, how did it happen?" Soon Jimin asked curiously and Yoongi twisted his moving chair in his direction a little.

"I'll be lying if I say I'm not privileged here. My uncle was one of the co sharers of this university and he too had a thing for music. This was his studio, you know. He used to teach students here." Yoongi started and Jimin listened to him attentively.

"Then what happened?"

"Well, he lost his philosophy too early. And after his departure I tend to take admission at the same time and my aunt handed me the key. I get to use it in my free time only while the other teachers still use it for other students. And let me tell you, it's mostly empty." As Yoongi informed Jimin, his gaze softened.

"I'm really sorry for your loss."

"It's okay. I bet he's happy up there." Saying this Yoongi focused back on his laptop, attaching it to the music machine.

"You're so passionate about basketball as well as music. How come these two things go together? As far as I know we can only love one thing wholly at a time." The curious little blonde asked and earned a smile of fondness in return from the elder who had to stop again.

"It's because my love for them is not the fullest but half. I love them both, there's no lie. But I do these things simultaneously because love does not always stay by your side. The day I lose my love for music I'll have basketball and the day I lose my love for games I have music." Yoongi answered sincerely and Jimin was blown away to know.

"Wow, that was a clever choice. But doesn't it get hard?"

"It doesn't as long as these two loves give me the same amount of happiness back and I ask for nothing in return."

Jimin kept growing fond of this guy by listening to him talk.

"So we should always have a substitute for love huh?" Jimin asked.

"Not a substitute for love but more and more sources of happiness because if we start depending on one, we tend to destroy ourselves. It's better to search for another happiness right away when you lose one. Because there's no point of living if you're living in vain after losing something when there's a lot in this world yet to discover."

Yoongi's words hit Jimin right across his heart that it almost felt like a warm hug, the intensity of depth his words had was exactly what was hidden in those eyes all the time.

Yoongi is a deep man and Jimin was gradually discovering it, it's always hard to keep his heart from fluttering around him.

Yes it truly is a big world with a lot to discover and Jimin for now got his eye on him.

Well, now you'll see a progress in the story. I hope it's not going to slow but you guys know me, I can't rush things up. So let's go with the flow.

And please, stop hating V, he's not as dumb as you think he is. If you hate him then you certainly haven't met people like him. This is a type of character that's misunderstood a lot so let's just take him like a poor human he is and wait for his character development.

Keep commenting!

Hope you guys enjoyed it!
