~Valt x Lui~
Oh, a popular ship this time. I wonder how I can twist it...
Anyway, enjoy~
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Valt was bored.
Being a natural extrovert, he loved being around people, and he had lot of absolutely wonderful friends-
-Who were all absent from beigoma at the same freaking time.
He'd come to his hometown for a vacation. It was mainly to visit his family, of course, but it was also to get away from the pressures of being a legendary blader and being busy all the freaking time. Now that there were no tournaments going on, he could relax for a while with his family and friends.
Unfortunately, he hadn't counted on all of them being AWOL- there was bound to be someone he knew, right?
Apparently not, because it was noon and he'd tried every single place he could think of but they. Were. Not. Present.
Rantaro was in Spain, Daina in France teaching at a Blading school for kids that he and his little brother had opened, Wakiya was also in Spain (Valt had a sneaking suspicion that he and Rantaro were... spending time together...) Ken was in another city, Xhaka and the whole of Sword Flames in Brazil, Zac was apparently in Korea for a concert, and he could video call at BC Sol but Chris was busy and he didn't want to disturb her, and he could go visit Aiga but he didn't feel like going through a forest and getting lost.
So he was stuck walking around the town like a lost wanderer, with no particular place in mind. He could train with Valkyrie, but there wasn't any fun in battling without an opponent.
People greeted him as he walked by. He smiled and waved at every one of them- he wasn't particularly high on fame but it was nice to know that he could bring a smile on people's faces.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
He stood in front of the WBBA. Surely it couldn't hurt to drop by and see if there were any new bladers that needed guidance? Hmm.
Entering the building, he saw that it was open, but empty.
...He'd forgotten it was Sunday today.
Still, something compelled him to stay. Well, it wasn't like he had anything to lose. He didn't have anything else to do after all.
He walked through the halls, feeling a wave of nostalgia wash upon him- it was here that he'd found Lui so many years ago, after all.
Wait a second.
Lui.
He'd completely forgotten about him! Well, not really, it was just that he was so used to meeting Lui abroad that he hadn't considered that Lui might be in his hometown after all! (It might also be because he and Lui weren't the best of friends, but well. Who cares about reasons.)
He heard the sound of multiple whips cracking against the ground while he was standing outside that door where Lui always trained. Summoning his courage, he went in.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Lui Shirosagi was just training- as always- when he heard the doors of his room open and the vaguely familiar footsteps which he couldn't really recognise. He didn't turn around however- no one was worth wasting even a second of his training over.
"Hey Lui!"
By Gods, it had to be Valt didn't it?
Let it be said that he didn't like being bothered when training. Let it also be said that he especially didn't like it when it was over trivial things. And let it be fucking screamed that he damn well didn't like it when the person in question bothering him was someone who he didn't want to face. At all.
Valt Aoi was the most confusing creature he'd ever had the displeasure of meeting.
To start, when he'd first met the boy, he'd thought of him as a waste- someone who had so much potential yet he didn't even know how to put it to use. He'd seen fit to at least make the idiot aware of how he had yet to harness his bey's power, and he'd been... Satisfied (not proud not proud not proud NO) when that same idiot had grown monumentally enough to give him the battle of a lifetime all those years ago at the Nationals.
From then on, the boy never failed to impress him- growing as a blader right in front of his eyes, and he didn't stop until he'd defeated Free De La Hoya and Shu Kurenai, until he'd become the strongest blader in the world.
Lui found it safe to think that he had a hand in Valt's progress- of course, it was due to his words that Valt was able to improve.
But... That wasn't why he found the boy confusing.
He knew that he respected Valt a lot, but-
Respect wasn't all he felt for the bluenette.
It was the small things- small, and unusual. Being excited to see Valt every time he got the chance to (he thought it was just because the prospect of battling him... excited him), watching over the boy and the various battles he had, looking out for how Valt would surprise them all next time- and it was after he'd become the Champion that things stopped making sense to him.
For one, he liked the boy's smile. It wasn't like how he liked... used to like seeing Shu in pain, it was... Weird.
His pale cheeks would turn pink for some reason he couldn't figure out. It was so embarassing! Whenever they sat next to each other during a WBBA meeting (and somehow they always did sit next to each other) he would be unable to concentrate on the matter at hand, his usually piercing focus disturbed by the fact that Valt smelled always smelled like fresh bread or something sweet, or how Valt would excitedly move around in his seat while talking with Shu who sat on his other side, or how their arms would brush sometimes, or how cute it was that he always brought beybread for all of them, or how his skin was a really pretty golden tan, or that unique red mark on his cheek,...
Hell, once he'd gotten so lost in his thoughts that he hadn't noticed Valt calling him. Well, thankfully, he solved it without any embarassment on his part ("Bold of you to think that you losers are worth my attention!")
...He wasn't sure he'd convinced Free though, because right after he'd said that he'd looked straight ahead, at Free who just so happened to be staring at him with the focus of a hawk...
At least Valt hadn't thought anything of it.
That was another problem! Until he'd met Valt, he'd never ever given a damn about what people thought about him! So why did he feel so self-conscious around who had to be the most non-judgmental, friendliest person ever?!
All these confusing feelings were because of Valt. Hence why he called the boy confusing, because he'd never felt anything like that for another person before, and it was all that damn idiot's fault. Not his own.
"Lui! Luiiii listen to meeee!"
Holy hell, he'd spaced out on Valt again.
He tried his hardest to reign in the heat that rushed to his cheeks. He wasn't sure how successful he was, but he was going to hope that Valt thought he was flushed from training.
He turned to Valt and glared at him."Did you come here to waste my time? If you did, then get out!"
Valt pouted at him. "It's been months since I've seen you, Lui! Let's talk!" He smiled brightly at him.
He looked like he was going to say something else, but he suddenly froze as if he'd just realised something. Lui tried not to fidget from the suddenly intense, scrutinizing stare Valt was giving him. He felt his stomach twist, some unfamiliar feeling bubbling up inside him.
Why did he suddenly feel so warm? Were the air conditioners inside the room not working?
The moment passed, the tension dissipating into the air as Valt suddenly broke out into a grin and pointed at Lui before loudly proclaiming, "Hey, look! I'm taller than you!"
Lui stared. He couldn't really process what was happening.
Valt began to walk forward until he was so close that Lui could almost feel the warmth radiating off him. Lui almost took a step backward but stopped himself in time, cheeks flushing from the sudden closeness.
He watched confusedly as Valt joined their shoulders and then tried to...
Measure their heights.
Lui felt his brain break a little.
That fucking idiot.
...Well, there was no way that he was shorter than Valt! Sure, he was short for his age, but Valt had ALWAYS been shorter than him. It wasn't about to change now.
Apparently finding his claim to be true, Valt grinned. "Just as I said! Just take a look, Lui!" Before he could stop himself, he turned.
...He really was a whole bloody inch shorter than Valt.
The incredulity that he was feeling must have shown on his face, because Valt's face grew smug and he grinned even wider. "See! I told you! Now admit it!" He looked like he was refraining from jumping up and down in happiness.
(HOW IN GOD'S NAME WAS HE SHORTER THAN THE ETERNAL MIDGET?!)
It was a testament to Lui's patience that he hadn't ripped out the idiot's spine yet (Though he suspected that he wouldn't last much longer...).
He snarled and roughly shoved Valt away from him, the bluenette stumbling a few steps back. If it were a few years back, Lui would probably had responded with something like, "Well, looks like you're compensating for your horrible blading skills!" But he damn well knew that he couldn't say that now.
Valt was stronger than him after all...
It looked like the bluenette knew that too, because he had a smirk on his face that just screamed 'I know what you're thinking'.
When did Valt Aoi get so good at reading people?
The atmosphere suddenly... shifted. It wasn't noticeable, but for someone with good senses like Lui, it was like... it was weird. Unfamiliar. There was something in the air that wasn't there previously. Huh?
Valt took a few steps forward, the smirk never leaving his face. Lui tried to ignore how his heartbeat sped up suddenly, turning away from him. The bluenette stopped only a few feet away, speaking in a rather low voice for some reason Lui couldn't understand.
"So, you know, maybe you should finally admit that I'm superior than you, in every field~"
(A/N: For those of you confused, it's an innuendo ;))
Lui's ears burned. He felt embarrassed... because... he didn't know. He just felt weird! No, Valt was the one acting weird, not him! He felt like there was another meaning to what Valt said that he didn't understand, but he didn't know what. What even WERE other things Valt was better than him at?!
He squinted confusedly at the apparently taller boy. "What do you even mean?"
Valt blinked. He didn't know that Lui was so... Oblivious.
Lui was the last person someone would expect to be so innocent.
He'd hoped that Lui would at least take the bait and blush or argue with him or get pissed or something, but apparently not.
Well, it kinda made sense. The guy locked himself up in his training room all day- he was way too much into beyblade to think about anything else.
He sighed disappointedly.
Truth to be told, he didn't really know what to talk to Lui about. They weren't really close (well, he tried) and Lui would just brush him off if he attempted small talk, or if he babbled nonsense, then he'd just ignore him.
(He also conveniently refused to admit that he got a kick out of pissing Lui off. Well, he'd thought that Lui would get pissed if he flirted with him, but oh well...)
For some reason, though, he found that cluelessness... Cute.
"A-And can you stop acting so weird?! Did you hit yourself on the head or something?!" Lui wanted to kill himself. Why did he stutter?! God, he was so embarassed.
Valt was pretty sure he'd never felt this satisfied. He'd just managed to make Lui stutter. And was that a blush on his face?! What the hell?
"I'm NOT blushing! SHUT UP!" Oops. Had he said that out loud?
"Yeah you idiot, you did say it out loud." Lui scowled at him, his blush gone and angry persona back in place.
Aww, it was fun while it lasted.
They stood in awkward silence for a while, until Lui scoffed and turned his attention to his training machine and promptly ignored Valt in the hopes that he would go away.
Valt groaned. Why was Lui so hard to talk to?! All he wanted was to talk, or have fun, or do something, goddamnit!
He knew Lui enough to know that he wasn't going to be replying anytime soon. He started exploring the huge room, occasionally dodging the ropes everytime they came near him.
He stopped when he noticed a bench in front of him. Without registering what else was kept on the bench, he sat down, and his hands brushed against something fluffy.
Lui's scarf.
A huge, devilish grin spread across his face- Oh, he knew what he was going to do, alright.
Lui tried hard not to focus on the male loitering in his room, instead concentrating on his training. Before long, he'd gotten so absorbed that he hadn't noticed Valt walking towards the exit of the room with something in his hands.
"Hey Lui!" Lui rolled his eyes and prepared himself to ignore him-
"Thanks for the scarf!" Lui's eyes snapped open. Before he'd even processed what was happening, he ran after Valt like a bat out of hell.
God, he was going to strangle that little shit.
-------------
Valt ran through the halls, laughing wildly. Tears of mirth streamed down his face, and he felt like he was going to throw up from just how hard he was laughing.
He was having the time of his life. He knew he was going to be hunted down and killed by Lui very soon, but he couldn't bring himself to regret it. This was the most fun he'd had in a while.
"VALT AOI! I SWEAR, WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU YOU'LL WISH THAT YOU WERE NEVER BORN!"
Well, he thought as he gulped, I'm going to die young. Sorry mom, I won't be helping you with beybread anymore.
So distracted by his thoughts he was, that he didn't feel Lui getting closer. Lui reached out to grab one end of his scarf that was dangling from Valt's arms, and pulled.
...Apparently, Valt's grip on the scarf had been very tight (and he was going to kill the idiot if his scarf was the slightest bit damaged) and along with the scarf, he got an armful of the bluenette boy.
Lui hit the floor harshly, letting out a pained grunt. The next moment, he was nearly suffocated by Valt crashing down on him hard. They flailed around like incoherent fishes for a while until Valt managed to collect himself and tried to stand up.
Only to drop right back down on Lui.
Lui was pretty sure his cheeks were going to burn off by the end of the day.
He quickly collected his composure and tried to push Valt off.
"What the hell, Aoi?! Get off me right now or I'm going to tear your spine out through your throat!"
"I'm tryiiiing!" He whined like a bratty kid and drew out the 'i' in such an annoying manner that Lui was tempted to deck him right there.
"Well, it certainly doesn't seem like you're trying hard enough!"
"But Luiiii! I'm just tired from all that running!"
"Then you're really as weak as you seem. Don't tell me that one of the so called best bladers in the world is so pathetic!"
"I'm not pathetic! You're the one who can't take a joke!"
"RUNNING AROUND WITH MY SCARF IS NOT A FUCKING JOKE!"
"IT IS!"
"SHUT UP!"
"MAKE ME!"
"Oh for hell's sake-"
Lui launched into a tirade about how Valt's idiocy was contagious and he didn't want to lower himself to his level, blah, blah, blah. Valt soon tuned him out, thinking about how he could deceive Lui and run away with the scarf again, until Lui noticed that he wasn't even listening and harshly punched his shoulder.
He winced in pain, an indignant remark on his lips-
Which promptly died off as soon as their eyes met.
So lost in their squabble, they hadn't noticed that Valt was still on top Lui, balancing himself by his hands which were on either side of Lui's head.
Lui turned red yet again, placing a hand against Valt's chest to push him off and get the hell out of here, when he saw the look in the other's eyes.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Valt Aoi wasn't much of an artist.
He knew that his drawings were mediocre at best, unrecognisable at worst. He didn't have much of an obsession with beauty too- most of the people he'd had small crushes on had been because he liked their personalities, like Free... or was close to them, well, like Shu.
But now, looking down at Lui, he couldn't help but notice just how striking he looked in the moonlight.
They were lying near a window, the moonlight streaming in and lighting their features, giving Lui's usually sky blue hair a silvery shine. His deep purple eyes were almost glowing, the royal colour throwing into stark clarity the differences that set it apart from those that would seek to rival it, and god, those lips-
Without knowing what he was doing, he allowed his body to do whatever it wanted to.
(Then again, following his instincts was the thing he was the best at.)
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Lui didn't know what was going on. One moment, he was lying on the ground, Valt looking at him with something foreign, the next moment there were lips on his own (warm, chapped lips) that were trying to suck his soul out.
"Mmph-" Lui protested against the aggressive assault, trying to free himself of the unforgiving grip to no avail. He gave up, flushing brightly when the kiss just deepened and even their bodies rubbed against each other, feeling an unfamiliar sort of warmth that wasn't entirely uncomfortable.
Valt finally parted from him when the need for air became too much, gazing at him from under his eyelashes with chocolate eyes that were frightening in their intensity.
Lui exhaled forcefully, confusion and embarassment etched onto his face.
"Why... Why did... You..." Holy- he was out of his breath. From the kiss, or from something else, he didn't know.
"L-Lui," Valt flushed, stammering unsurely, "I don't... Know... Um, you're really beautiful?"
Ah, yes, it had definitely been too long since Valt had surprised him. He seemed to be making up for that now.
"Shut up! Stop saying stupid things!"
"They're not stupid!" Valt insisted, "You're just..." He gulped, seeming like he was out of breath for some reason too (just like Lui).
"I'm what?" Lui was at his wits end now. He felt overwhelmed. He'd had enough of this cat and mouse game. What were they even doing?
When Valt didn't answer him, he was tempted to kick him off- And then Valt's head dropped, suddenly very close to his ear, and something warm pressed against it that had his pulse racing.
"Don't ask so many questions, Lui, just enjoy it." His voice was low, just like that remark earlier, and his hot breath sent goosebumps rising across the purple-eyed male's skin.
"W-wha..." He was a stuttering mess, and Valt found himself liking the fact that he was probably the only one in existence that saw Lui in such a wrecked state.
"Lui." His name slipped out as a groan. Valt knew he couldn't hold himself any longer. "Do you trust me?"
Through his hazy mind, Lui wondered what sort of question that was. But he didn't ponder on it too much- Valt was many things, but untrustworthy wasn't one of them.
He simply nodded his head, having given up on trying to deduce this new... thing.
Valt grinned, feeling rather happy with the answer, before finally allowing himself to proceed.
Impatient hands slipped up Lui's shirt, touching here, caressing there. Lui groaned, head twisting from side to side as Valt continued his ministrations, not having the patience for even unclothing them. Lui nearly bit his lip through, trying to suppress the sounds, but some gasps inevitably slipped out, making Valt's blood rush through his veins, and... somewhere else.
While his hands were occupied, Valt looked down, finding Lui with a similar problem. He smiled.
Oh, he was going to solve that problem in the best way possible.
Lui was so lost in the pleasure that he didn't even register those hands stopping until Valt suddenly lowered his hips and rolled them forward. The effect was immediate. Lui cried out, eyes snapping open in shock.
"W-what was that?!"
Valt didn't even hear Lui; his mind was blank with pleasure. He grunted, repeating the same thing and Lui fell back onto the floor, his breath lost. Valt kept grinding their hips together, their members rubbing against each other, the pleasure reaching new heights.
Lui tried to move, tried to do something, but Valt was using so much force that he kept him pinned to the ground. His hand was on the bare skin of Lui's hips, another on the ground, his mouth right next to his ear. He was panting just as much, and Lui pursed his lips as he realised that he really liked knowing that Valt was just as affected as he was.
As time passed, the feeling became better and better. How could something feel so good? Lui was moaning wildly, thoughts about maintaining his composure didn't even cross his mind. All he knew was that he was getting closer... To something.
Valt pressed his lips against his own, and he cooperated for a bit but soon tore off, gasping for air.
"V-Va-lt!~ I can't...anymore...something's happening!"
Valt could feel it, too. The pleasure was reaching a new point. He rubbed slower but harder, trying to get the last of this feeling before it went away. He placed his mouth onto Lui neck and began sucking the same way he did on his lips, until-
"AAAHHHHH!~"
Lui's eyes rolled back in his head, his back arching as he grabbed onto Valt's shoulders, squeezing the life out of them until the ecstatic feeling passed.
Valt collapsed on top of the flame haired boy, breathing heavily. Lui was thoroughly spent; he hadn't been as tired while climbing Mt. Everest! Valt made a brave effort to detach himself from Lui, seeing as they needed to... clean the mess.
"Lui," Valt called him quietly, "you alright?" He sounded concerned.
Lui met his eyes, blushing a faint pink before looking away. "If you speak of this to anyone else, I'm going to skin you alive." He hissed darkly.
Valt grinned, "Nah, your secret is safe with me!" He winked at Lui, "Or should I say, our secret~"
Lui rolled his eyes, the blush still there. "What even was that..." He turned redder, thinking about what he and Valt had just done.
"Looks like you need some educating." Valt burst into giggles, Lui's face flaming in embarassment as he desperately tried to collect himself.
Valt got off him, extending a hand to him, and when Lui took it, he just smiled softly to himself.
"Let's go clean up," he suggested, blushing a little himself. Lui huffed as they walked towards the bathroom, still feeling a little unsteady. Ugh.
He eyed Valt from the corner of his eyes- he wanted to get some revenge for how much he'd embarassed him today.
"So," Lui started, "It was nice. Let's do it again." He said with all the bluntness of a bull.
He'd never thought it would be so satisfying to see the blunette choke on empty air and turn purple.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
So, top Valt and bottom Lui. Each of them rarities in themselves. And together? Let's just say that this chapter was the most difficult one to write. But I liked writing it xD
