----------------------

Y/N did not know what to think.

She and Delta had been going at it for hours. Her legs felt like they were jelly– shaking and trembling, barely able to hold her up. She could feel the ache in her joints, the burning of muscles pushed far over their limits.

Her hands were unpleasantly sweaty, sticky and clammy and in her opinion, absolutely disgusting. Her finger joints throbbed painfully at having assumed the same position over and over for the past few hours. Her arms had gone numb, and okay maybe that was rather worrying and she should probably tell Delta–

But she had been telling him, repeatedly (much to his very pronounced annoyance) for the past hour. And he. Did. Not. Listen. Or more accurately, he did listen– he could hear very well, that asshole, but he deliberately chose to ignore her and keep going, despite her numerous attempts at getting him to stop.

And okay, this was getting ridiculous, because yes, Delta was a total stamina freak (a fact that she had determined on several... occassions....) But no, he wasn't an asshole– wait, he was an asshole, but not the actual, asshole asshole.

He... cared for her (even though it might not seem that way) and he was generally mindful of her health. Hell, he even gave her occasional massages after a particularly grueling day– which somehow always ended up turning her on instead of making her relax–

So why the fuck was he being so difficult now?!

Y/N felt lost. Delta was acting totally weird and she did NOT know what else to do. Leave the room and run away? No, Delta would hunt her down and make her pay. He hated it when she left him without an explanation.

Wait.

She could run... with an explanation, right?

If Y/N had been a little more saner, she would have immediately scrapped the idea because when Delta caught her (he always did when she did airheaded things like that), he would not have mercy on her. But hours of painful movement had worn her body (and subsequently, her state of mind) down, so she promptly discarded all sense of reason and rationality and stood up straight.

"Hey Delta!" Y/N beamed at the turquoise haired boy like a ray of brightly glowing sunshine, uncaring of the fact that it made her eyes and cheeks hurt at being stretched wide.

Dark crimson eyes, like a fine glass of red wine, looked up at her through long eyelashes. It took her breath away, because even after so long, she couldn't get used to her boyfriend's beauty.

He was so beautiful, inside out– it always made certain feelings rise up inside her, threatening to explode. Sometimes they would explode, in the form of enthusiastic compliments and soft gentle reassurances that left her flustered for having said it, but she felt like it was worth it when Delta would turn just as red as her, shyly turning away in a rare moment of discomposure.

"Well? Are you just going to stare at my face all day, Y/N?"

She jumped, her train of thought coming to a stop at Delta's amused and slightly smug voice. She flushed, because of course he was smug– she had spaced out and he no doubt knew that he was the cause of that.

Oh god he's smirking he looks so good why does he look so fucking good–

Shaking her head to get rid of the mindless thoughts (a habit she'd picked up from Valt-senpai) she cleared her throat and stared up at him. He was breathing hard, a fine sheen of sweat glistening on his skin and cherry red lips parted slightly. He was affected too, even though he tried not to be too obvious about it.

That made her frustration boil over and she marched up to him from across the stadium, getting right in his face.

(Yes, they'd been training. Y/N would like to apologise for any misleading wording that made it seem like they were doing something else.)

"Delta!" She felt her features twist into a scowl, trying to be intimidating (even with the pronounced height difference between them),  "Look at the time. We've been training since 10 am, and it's almost 2 pm now!" She gestured wildly at the clock, "How many hours does that make? Four. FOUR FUCKING HOURS! WE'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR FOUR FUCKING HOURS–"

"That's nothing," Delta said dismissively, uncaring of the fact that Y/N seemed to be getting more and more fanatical every second, "Valt-senpai trains for six hours everyday–"

"–WITH BREAKS IN BETWEEN! AND WE'VE BEEN TRAINING NON-STOP! I HAVEN'T SAT MY ASS FOR FOUR HOURS DELTA!"

Usually, her crude comments would get a snort from Delta, who wasn't as uptight as she'd first assumed, but now...

...He didn't even seem to acknowledge her. Her words passed right over his head– he seemed unfocused and vaguely annoyed, which was very much unlike him.

After all, he was Delta fucking Akane, the guy who took on every task– no matter how unimportant it was– with an eerie laser like focus. He was just... intense, something which made people uncomfortable (but something which she loved about him) so to see him look so out of it was... weird, to say the least.

"Delta?" Her voice was calmer now, concerned, "Hey, what's up? Are you okay?" She put a hand on his arm, feeling him jerk slightly, and her concern doubled.

He finally looked at her. He'd been avoiding eye contact, staring off into space, and it was just so not him and she grew even more worried–

And all thoughts promptly left her mind the moment those wine red eyes looked at her.

He had such pretty eyes. That was a well established fact. He also had a very intense stare. Also a very established fact.

An intense fucking stare which made her skin crawl, pleasantly, what the fuck– and then his eyes left hers, again, and roamed over her skin, flushed from training, and chest, heaving lightly from exhaustion, and her neck, littered with purple hickies and uncovered in the presence of the one who left those marks in the first place, and her head spun because holy shit, he was devouring her with his eyes–

And she loved it.

"Okay?" She jerked, coming out of her musings, absently realising that she'd asked a question (which she'd long forgotten) and he was only just now replying to her. "What makes you think I'm okay?"

"H-huh? Uh? Uh, what? Wait, why do you sound so unreasonably annoyed?!" She puffed her cheeks in anger, trying not to notice the way Delta's eyes instantly dropped to her lips, "I was just concerned! And I asked you that 'cause you looked really ill–"

"I'm supposed to look ill when I have the bluest fucking balls known to man." He rolled his eyes. And. Uh. Oh.

Oh. Uhm. So. Yeah. Okay.

Okay. She was fine. Y/N was fine. Totally fucking fine and she would kill anyone who said otherwise because she was NOT blushing furiously, and she was NOT shaking, and she was NOT on the verge of fainting.

She still wanted to die though. Of embarassment. Preferably kill Delta before dying because who the fuck said that so casually and didn't blush or look even remotely flustered afterwards?!

"What was that, you ungrateful idiot?!" She exploded, trying to hide how much he affected her, "W-we just had– we just– we did– we did it just yesterday! What sort of insatiable monster are you, anyway?! M-My neck's all red and purple because of you!"

Nevermind that she felt like dying from those words alone, the way Delta suddenly tilted his head and narrowed his eyes had her frantically trying to find an escape from his smouldering gaze.

"Are you unable to walk?"

"H-HUH?"

They were already standing close, and when he took a step forward, she was forced to step backwards to avoid colliding with his chest.

"Are you unable to talk?"

"Wh-wha? What do you mean?" Y/N didn't understand what he was talking about. She couldn't, not when her mind was going blank with their close proximity and the dark, promising glint in his eyes and his smooth, seductive voice–

She wanted to run. But her legs were locked, seemingly in a trance, unable to do anything but keep stepping backwards in time with Delta's confident stride towards her until her back slammed against the wall.

"Does your throat hurt from screaming? Are your eyes red from crying all night? Are your nails chapped from scratching my back? Is your neck covered in bruises and bitemarks?"

The questions burned.

They burned like lava in her stomach, bubbling and boiling and twisting and maybe she should get herself checked because she was pretty sure that stomachs weren't supposed to twist like that.

She wanted to say something, anything, but she did nothing but stand still and shiver. Trembling and whimpering like a mouse caught in the claws of a cat, and that's exactly how she felt, didn't she? Poor little prey, trapped by the predator and his devilish red eyes and his cruelly amused smirk at her plight.

There was only one difference, though. A prey wouldn't want to get devoured.

She wanted to get devoured.

So she opened her mouth and dug her grave further. "You blind or something? Don't tell me you can't see what you did." Her voice is low and shaky, a pathetic attempt to look braver than she felt. His smirk widened, amusement deepening at her expense, but she didn't falter even then, tilting her head to the side and exposing her bruise covered neck.

Only then did the slightest crack in his composure appear, wine red eyes widening and pupils dilating at the tantalizing sight before him. His breath hitched, and he unconsciously leaned in, close to her neck. And then he exhaled, his warm breath as shaky as she felt.

What was she doing, luring him in? She hated herself, evidently, or she wouldn't be consciously inviting him to her.

"You think that's enough for me?" He scoffed, "they're barely even visible. Pathetic." His eyes darkened and Y/N's heart dropped to her stomach– she just knew that whatever was going to come out of his mouth this time was so going to wreck her–

"You aren't mine until you're bruised so deep that the marks never fade, Y/N."

Y/N gasped.

Her face was burning, she was burning, and she was going to burn until nothing was left, she was sure. God, help her.

"I will devour you. Tonight."

"That's bad. But good."

"I'm going to do it the right way."

"The right way, or... your way?"

Delta chuckled, pleased, and she felt her heart flutter. He leaned in and caught her chin, tilting her head up towards him, and then he pressed his lips against hers and all her strength left her in an instant.

"You're such a smart girl, Y/N."

She wasn't. If she was, she wouldn't be running straight into the jaws of the devil.

--------------------

Ew who the fuck writes cringy poetic shit like this wtf

But also i am half dead from this

Incoherent

...Lmao

If you didn't get the (pathetic attempt at a) plot, basically delta does have an insatiable appetite and he and reader had sex the day before but it wasn't as intense and so he felt blue balled and then tried to take his frustrations out while training, but he sNAPPED BC reader is irresistible so yeah. That happened.

Good bye and stay tuned for pt.2 which will be up in a couple of days
