Suilad my lovelies!

Remember Faurphen? Yeah the dude with blonde hair, who dyed his undercut darker, to seem as though he bleached his top? That dude. Best bud of Blackberry, if you still don't know who I'm talking about.

So I drew him in 3/4 view beforehand and whilst planning a minicomic I needed a front reference for him. This was also roughly the time, at which I got to the point in my Novel "Ashes" where Bronadan meets him... well not as a young lad, but as a grown, old man.

So I needed a front referenc of his younger and older self.

I already had a pretty good idea of how Faurphen looked as a trainee, but his older self was a bit or a struggle. In Ashes, Bronadan describes his first sight on Faurphen as follows:

" [...] clad purely in yellow with a face that was half covered in a burn scar. On the part of his scalp that couldn't grow hair anymore, he had some complex, angular pattern tattooed in light brown ink.

Maybe that was Paladin Cloudspear I wondered. I've read about the glorious warrior, that sacrificed himself for his best friend in war, causing a terrible defomation on the right side of his body through fire and rubble, just managing to survive through the wonders of modern technology."

"[...] everything they said had an air of power with it."

"[...] the two giggled on, as if they were younger children [...]"

"From the small time I was able to analyse them, I realised that they were all very reserved and perceptive."

Now, there were a few things I realised:
- Quoting my own writing is the weirdest thing I've ever done (literally... ahh it's so weird)
-  I had to figure out how the fuck burnscars look
- he had to look friendly in an elegant and powerful way, eventhough the powerful air comes more across through his language and posture

...... so I had fun and this was the result, since I don't really know what else I wanted to say ^-^" :

Welp, I like. I like a lot. Even though he lost his iconic chin scar, that I fell in love with QwQ
Maybe I'll move that to the other half of the face so he'll keep it... gotta see...
