SUILAD MY PRETTIES!!!

Okay.... so... this is an exciting chapter for me. Why? Because I finally got around to drawing Faurphen. Who is Faurphen? Well he's the best friend of Iâbonnen. Who's Iâbonnen you may ask? This dude, also known as Paladin Blackberry, or just Blackberry for short:

And why is Faurphen (AKA: Cloud) so important? Because those two kiddos are an unbeatable duo. They were the double force to be reckoned with. The Ru and Cev of their times, if one might say so. (Fun fact: Ru and Cev were said to resemple these two dudes very muh throughout their career, so Ru and Cev are actually the Cloud and Bonny of their time.)

I never drew Faurphen before. Why? Because through Cev's promotion he got kicked out of the top ranks at the Paladins, and thus wasn't as important to the story development after that. But since I am working on the Paladins a bit more lately, I had to draw him.

So I started with his younger self, since I also planned on drawing some small mini-comics with him and Bonny. And to be precise, I started exactly with this little, ugly, messy sketch here:

So I went on and did my "lineart" on top. The fun thing in the dynamic between the two is, that they are rather opposites. Bonny is very calm, mindful, charismatic, and yet very direct and witty. Which I decided to represent through a skinny elegance, paired with sharp features. Cloud on the other hand is braver, more confident and sassy, yet he's quite innocent and very optimistic. So I wanted to give him rounder features, with a bit more squish to contrast with Bonny, whilst also making things such as his eyes, eyebrows and nose bolder.

... and I think I accidentally created a different style here too.

Anyways! So then I went on with the flats :D
The fun thing with my duo here is, that Bonny is from the Gravebuild clan. Which translates to the clan colour being a midtoned grey, and Bonny himself haveing a more cold and dark colour scheme. Cloud on the other hand is from the Sundance clan. So... that means a lot or warm and yellow colours.

... yeah... I wasn't lazy for once and shaded a drawing of mine...
It was fun, eventhough I think I could've done a way better job at the hair. Which I think is pretty funny, since the hair usually is the only good thing I can always kinda nail >w<

Anyways I also found, how now this 'new style' I developed here accidentally is way more visible after I shaded. I personally find it cool, but I'll need to draw him again.
Momentarily I'm also working on a pic of his older self, but that's not coming along how I want it to, so I'll probably need to start that again.
