Suilad my little Dwarflings!

So me is back with a new chapter about my baby Bronadan  o(^o^)o
So.... if you were to check my last chapter about him (should be the first in August, if my memoriy is correct) you would find this picture right here:

It's pretty okay, but in this one month I changed my style and view upon Bron a bit, so I decided to draw the frontal-reference thingy again.

Let's start with his younger version!

I especially used to like his faceshape in the old pic... now I find it a bit too simplified, since I draw faces a bit different now. I tried to maintain a similar shape, whilst also slimming it down a wee bit and excentuating some featured, such as the jaw and cheek bones and added the rings under his eyes, that somehow seemed to have grown a constant stylistic decision I add to every drawing I make.

His tattoos in the face also were changed a bit.... not really though... i just added a bit more to the lower cheek-elements, to have a silhouette that resembles the tatts of Ruindîr and Glamarphen a bit more.
(May I be cursed for giving everyone so comlicated designs.... they may look cool, but they are a real pain when drawing the characters more often)

I also had to change his hairstyle completely, because I struggled too much... I really need to experiment a bit more with short hair, since I realised how I've fallen into a rut of extremely similar characteristics.
So now he lost his mohawk and has a simpler undercut... it still looks cool with the dyed hair tho, so I'm not really complaining >w<
On the topic of hair, I also decided to give him a little goatee, because his chin looked, as if it would feel lonely.

Another thing I quickly want to mention are the eyebrows, because I tried something new... my eyebrows have been bothering me for quite some time now, since they are so stylised and feel like stickers, in comparison to all my other hair.

Here's a rough little doodle of how I wanna do my eyebrows in the future... well more or less. They turn out way floofier in the end and I erase the front area a bit to make it lighter, instead of using a lighter colour value. But as a first try of a new style-adaptation I thought I'd throw it in here ^-^

They still aren't completely perfect (obviously), but I like them this way a lot more... so yeah. Eyebrows.

(Fun fact: I kept typing "eyebrown" because I'm so used to typing colours for some odd reason >w<)

Eventhough I kinda liked the expression on the old picture, he didn't really... dunno.... Bron is this really elegant person. And when Ru's best friend Cevrond sees him for the first time he describes our Bronadan here as a godlike appearance of power and wealth with a constant melancholic expression and tired looking, cold eyes that show no emotion at all.

So our grumpy gremlin doesn't quite fit the description, does he?

Apart from that, I just changed up the face shape, like in his younger version, used the new tatttoos....

Oh! I gave him a mustache to his goatee, because his upper lip looked lonely and jealous of his chin.

So yeah..... sadly couldn't really find all that much for to say his older version.

Overall I am extremely happy with the progress and his new designs. Especially his younger self, since I am working a lot on his backstory, character development and personality.

Welp, I think that was it for now... I will indeed draw him more often, since his design is fun and I'm thinking about writing his story "Ashes" down in this years NaNoWriMo...
