Suilad everybody :D

Soooo... some of you may remember my OC Golwendîr from the front ref I drew in... I think it was August?? Anyways, here it is again:

And... well, it ain't bad. It definetely ain't bad. BUTT I found this really awesome picture on pinterest somewhere and thought, that... well, he didn't really look like I imagined him to look, ya know?

So I took that pinterest picture (sadly lost it... would've obviously shown you otherwise) and drew a new front reference for his younger self, since I was already working on a new version of his older face... but that's already a bit outdated, so I will probably need to start that again...

My goal for the new ref, was to make him look a bit more tired, yet arrogant. And I wanted to push the facial features a bit more, whilst still maintaining the overall facial build I use in my style. It was a fun experiment, but I still need a lot more practise in exagerating proportions, without making them look too off.
I also wanted to work a bit on my curly hair skills, since I founf myself to be extremely unversatile in my hairstyles. They doo look fluid and natural and all that, but they doo indeed have the tendency to sometimes look extremely "wet"  since I am unable to draw hair, with floof that extends over the ears. I tried to battle it a bit with this one and whilst it is far away from perfect, I think it's definetely an improvement and a step in the right direction.

Enough about my ramble on technicalities. You lot are here for the drawing, and here it is:

He actually used to be this really handsome, smart dude, before I turned him into a grumpy, old bastard. Anyways... his backstory should be in the former chapter of his, and even though I already changed a bit up, it still is mostly correct..... so if you're curious.... well, I won't stop you from checking it out...

Oh... random fun fact on the side: he's demisexual, so on the asexual spectrum (WE NEED REPRESENTATION GUYS, AND WHEN WE CAN'T GET IT, I WILL MAKE SURE WE WILL), and he only had one single crush, which was our good old king Lachadan. But since he knew that his best bud wasn't gay, he gave up hope and then lost the affection he had for him, ending up in never getting married or even having a single relationship in his life (which is actually pretty darn sad, if you consider that he's 3 million years old...)
