Taehyung looked in the mirror, disappointed.

I look like I'm going to a funeral.

He scanned his outfit, black tee, only pair of denim jeans and sneakers.

What do people even wear to a party?

"Is that what you're wearing?"

Taehyung shook, surprised when he heard Jungkook's voice.

He turned around,

"Uh yeah... is it that bad?"

Jungkook tapped his index finger on his chin.

"Could use a little work... I know!"

The boy ran into his room and came out holding a leather jacket with silver buttons.

"Isn't that a little over the top," Taehyung asked.

"One can never be too cool," Jungkook replied.

"Here," he stood behind Taehyung and put his arms through the sleeves.

"Turn around."

Taehyung did as he was ordered and turned towards Jungkook.

He pulled the sides of the jacket down and brushed Taehyung's shoulders.

"There. Now you look even more perfect."

For what seemed like a beautiful eternity, they just gazed at each other. Amazed by his beauty, Taehyung's eyes never left Jungkook's.

"Oh my goodness, you guys look so cute! Quick, let me get a picture of you two!"

"Appa," Jungkook whined as he covered his face,

"We're not going to prom, it's just a party!"

"I know but I just have to get a picture of you two," Jin insisted as he held his phone, ready.

"I suppose one picture wouldn't hurt," Taehyung said.

"Oh alright," Jungkook surrendered.

He moved closer to Taehyung so that their shoulders were now touching.

Jungkook put his arm around Taehyung and held up a peace sign.

"Smile!"

The party was held at a grand mansion. Dozens of people were already there, dancing, drinking and whatever else one does at a party.

Taehyung was astonished as the house was bigger than he could imagine. A swimming pool, bar, and three-door garage were included in the experience.

"Let's get this party started," Jungkook said as the closed his car door behind him.

Taehyung reluctantly got out of the car, still unsure of the outcome.

"Look at that huge trampoline!"

"This. Is. So. Cool," Jungkook said as he started jumping in spot.

"I thought it was my first time at a party," Taehyung laughed.

"I can't help it! Look at this house! Woah."

Taehyung smiled,

Cutie.

"You made it!"

The boys turned towards the voice.

"Hey, Sonwho," Jungkook said as he received a pat on the shoulder.

"Sup', Jungkook. Or can I call you Kook?"

"Well that seems a little-"

"And look at his plus one! It's the one and only, Kim Taehyung. Gimme a hug, man," Sonwho wrapped his great big arms around Taehyung.

What the hell?

Taehyung managed to squirm out of Sonwho's grasp.

"Hey. I know I gave you some hard times before. Hurt you, beat you. I just want to let you know that I'm sorry and I wish I can take it all back.

Taehyung stared his bully right in his eyes.

I'll seem like a bad person if I don't accept his apology. But I don't want to seem easy.

Without thinking, Taehyung said the first thing that came into his mind.

"Then why," he started,

"Why'd you do it? Ever since I came to high school you've been torturing me. You're the reason I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. You're the reason I ate in the bathroom. You're the reason these scars are on my skin. You're the reason why I don't talk to people. You made me feel worthless. You made me feel like nothing matters. You made me feel like there was no use at all."

Sonwho looked at Taehyung in despair. Jungkook looked at his friend with worry.

"Wow... I never knew- I mean I never wanted any of that," Sonwho explained.

"I guess the reason is, well, growing up I didn't have any family. Well technically, I did but they didn't treat me like it. My mom refused to feed me, my dad kept me locked in my room. I was extremely skinny and lonely. I guess I just needed someone to make me feel better about myself. And that was wrong, I know that now. I'm sorry, Taehyung."

With a firm nod, Taehyung accepted the apology and walked away. Jungkook ran after him.

"Hey."

Taehyung kept walking.

Jungkook grabbed his shoulder, forcing them to be face-to-face.

"All that stuff you said. About how you didn't want to get up and how you felt like nothing matters. And how you're worthless-"

"Get to the point, Jungkook," Taehyung said, holding back his tears.

"I just wanted to let you know, you're anything but worthless. You're everything to me."

"That's not true."

"Do you want me to prove it?"

Yes.

Just then, Sonwho tapped Taehyung on the shoulder.

"Hi again. You ran off before I could give you this."

Sonwho held out his hands which held a little, red book.

"I took this from you in freshman year. I don't know why I kept it all these years but I guess now's the time to return it."

"What is it," Jungkook asked.

Taehyung was astonished.

"It's my favourite book, The Secret Garden. It was my mom's favourite book and she gave it to me, despite the fact I couldn't read at that age."

Taehyung took the book in his hands and opened it up to the first page.

Taehyung, my honey bear!
You are a very smart, intelligent boy and I will always love you. Keep reading and remain the happy boy I love. You are forever in my heart.
-Mama

"I can't believe you had this."

"And you wouldn't have gotten it back if we didn't come to the party," Jungkook budded in.

Taehyung laughed.

This actually isn't so bad, he thought.

That's when Sonwho pulled out a gun.

People all around started screaming and running.

Taehyung felt as if the whole world stopped.

"Hey. Hey, what're you doing," Jungkook yelled.

"Can someone restrain him, please," Sonwho asked. One of his friends grabbed Jungkook's arms and held him in place.

"No! No, stop! You can't do this to him! Taehyung get out of here, go!"

"Sonwho," Taehyung started, arm in front of him,

"Wh-"

"I need to end this thing between you and me. You and I both know it can't last forever," he said slyly.

"We settled that! What about all that stuff you said? About your family?"

Sonwho traced the gun with his finger,

"Not everyone's life is like your's."

The gun went off.

Taehyung opened his eyes.

He missed.

He saw blood from underneath him start to spread.

He looked down.

Jungkook lay there with red pouring out from his chest.
