Lyriel is very withdrawn from many emotions. Despite being alive for a while, she does not have a lot of knowledge surrounding human emotions. She was raised very, very differently in that respect. She appreciates the small and simple things, she's learned to do that over time. She does enjoy dealing with a few challenges from time to time. She can also be a bit clueless or oblivious to certain behaviors that humans tend to do. But other than simple things like that, she is smart, calculated, and at times, cruel or cold-hearted.

Lyriel grew up in an elf village, way before the curse existed, well a few years before it took over. She remembers the time when things looked so beautiful and not so depressing. But her village became the victim of the curse, and it left her alone to survive at a young age...well her and a few elf children. They spent a few years together before they went their separate ways and that was the last time she saw an elf. She has not seen her kind since. She doesn't remember her parents, she assumes there is a reason for that. She spent a lot of time traveling, learning more and more magic, and becoming powerful.
