Mori

"I'd like for you to work as an assistant for one of the executives. Protect him at all times, and generally, just look out for him. He's quite the stubborn one."

You

"Me?... Look out for an executive?..."

Mori

"Yes, indeed."

You were given the room number that you were ordered to visit, and you were soon clothed in formal attire and travelling through the dorm corridors.

Your gaze was drawn to the room numbers, and you arrived at the one you needed to see shortly. You knocked on the door and stood there, carrying a clipboard in your hands, waiting.

The sound of the door unlocking and opening drew your attention.

With the most haggard look on his face, the gentleman standing at the door was brushing his teeth. The fact that he wasn't too tall, wore a hat, and had a large cast on his wrist could only indicate one thing.

"Chuuy?!-"

"Huh?!"

This man, Chuuya, dropped his toothbrush on the ground and raced directly towards you, assuming it was an attack coming from the agency.

The next thing you know, you're being held down in the dorm hall by an enraged red-headed short ass.

"Woah!... Is it okay for you to be battling with such an injury?"

Chuuya

"Be quiet, you gave this to me!"

You

"... I did?"

The phone in Chuuya's pocket began to ring just as he raised his fist to beat your face.

He froze, then loosened his hand and took his phone from his pocket.

You

"... Are you really going to answer a call instead of finishing me off?..."

Chuuya

"Shh!... It's from my boss."

You

"...!"

Mori's voice could be heard on the other end of the line. Based on Chuuya's reaction, you'd think he found out what was given to him.

Mori had informed Chuuya everything about why you were there, including how you are now an enemy of Dazai and the Agency, in order to pique Chuuya's curiosity.

You heard him grumble a variety of nonsense while he continued getting dressed for the day as you followed him inside the dorm.

"Pfft... Assistant?... Me, Chuuya, and an assistant?!"

He mumbled to himself.

You

"Chuu-"

Chuuya

"Silence!... Does the boss think I'm not good enough?! Is that why he put me with- You?!"

His voice suddenly raised.

You

"Huh? No!... I'm sure the boss doesn't think of you like that."

Chuuya

"Tch, he thinks I'm weak?"

You

"bro i literally did not say anything"

"I never said anything like that, Chuuya. I believe he put me with you so that you would... Y'know, have more control over your temper. He told me he's been looking for someone to accompany you for quite a while now."

Chuuya

"Company?... Control over my temper?!... I already have control over that! I don't need you, or your stupid help."

Chuuya pointed his finger directly towards you.

You took his hand and gently pushed it away from your face.

"The fact that you're angrily pointing your finger in my face and yelling at me clearly contradicts what you just said."

Chuuya

"... Whatever."

You

"So, give me my first task."

Chuuya

"No thanks, I'd rather push you out the window."

You

"Wow, you're very straightforward."

Chuuya put on his coat and stood by the door.

You

"... So you're just leaving me here?"

Chuuya

"Huh?! No! I'm not that dumb!... You're gonna leave the building of course."

You

"Oh?... How do you think the boss would feel about that?"

Chuuya

"...Why are you suddenly bringing the boss into this?"

You

"Oh, I don't know, maybe because he's obviously telling you to allow me to work by your side. If you don't allow it, wouldn't that be considered disrespecting our leader?"

"... Fine. Just- Clean up the dorm."

Chuuya slammed the door shut and walked away, leaving you in the dorm. Until you looked in the kitchen, his room, and his bathroom, you believed everything had been cleaned adequately.

His dorm wasn't dull; as an executive, he expected to have a rather sophisticated dorm. It was relatively large.

I mean... Cleaning his dorm shouldn't be as bad as having no home, so...

You obtained the necessary equipment and began cleaning.

His room was perhaps the worst; it was as filthy as a pig's hen. You cleaned his dorm for essentially the whole day, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. You'd double-checked that nothing had a particle of dust on it.

Now all there's left to do is... Wait? He's been out for so long, but maybe that's just how he is.

So you sat on the ground, mopping alongside you, and waited.

He hasn't returned after a couple of hours had gone.

You sat and waited for such a long period and did nothing, which must have drained you. As a result, you soon found yourself sleeping on the ground with your head resting on the kitchen counter. Because you knew Chuuya would make such a huge fuss about you sleeping on a bed, the only other alternative was to sleep on the ground.

The brilliant sunshine awoke you in the morning. You looked everywhere, but there was no Chuuya. The first thing you thought to do was call the boss.

"Is this normal for Chuuya to be out for such a long time?"

Mori

"He was given a big task, he does usually take 1-3 days when I give him jobs like this. In the meantime, I've got a task for you too."

You

Oh jeez... Not another solo mission.

You were very disturbed by the prospect of ever having to conduct a solo mission again.

Mori

"... Are you sure I can go on a solo mission?... Based on what happened last time-"

"Nothing will happen like that ever again. I promise you."

Even though you didn't believe him, you still had a lot of respect for him, so you took the position. You had ended up undertaking a solo mission instead of collaborating with Chuuya... Again.

You wanted to join Chuuya on his missions in the future; after all, he is an executive, therefore his tasks would be far more intricate than the ones you were assigned.
