Things were looking up for Yin over the last couple of years, which was a much needed break after all of the stress she had gone through.

Saved from the Midnight Channel and awakening to her Persona set her on a course that she never would have expected in her life. And not to mention having some guidance from a friendly girl named Lavenza.

Having to help find a murderer in the TV World? Piece of cake. Stop a berserk goddess from turning everyone in the world into Shadows? Child's play. Save a traumatized android and keep the world from being destroyed a second time alongside other Persona-users? ...okay, that was a little more difficult.

And all of this, after being pulled after her stupor when she was barely a kid. Not to mention she was a Wild Card like her friend Narukami. That was a little worrying.

Unfortunately, in the last few years, she had lost her access to the Velvet Room, and her ability to speak with the inhabitants, and Lavenza along with it.

But eventually, she found her own path, deciding to move out of Inaba and into Tokyo. Of course she would keep in touch with the rest of the Investigation Team, but they were all out doing their own things.

She found herself a place to stay, managed to land herself a spot in the most prestigious academy in Tokyo, Shujin Academy, and was finally getting her life back on track.

Of course, that was until she realized just how twisted some adults could be. The Gym teacher, Suguru Kamoshida, was an absolute scumbag and womanizer, the principal turned a blind eye to his antics, and a lot of the other adults she'd seen had been so full of themselves that she felt bile rise in her throat from their ego.

Still, she managed to put up with it. There wasn't anything she could do that wouldn't get her expelled...

And then, one night, she fell asleep in her room and when her eyes opened, she was lying on a bed in prison clothes. She blinked slowly, sitting up as she looked around. Was this a jail cell? And this feeling it gave off...it felt like the Velvet Room...but...wasn't it a limousine before? Then she remembered what Margaret had said.

"The shape of this room and its residents are selected by my master, based on the number of guests and their destiny."

That was her first indication that something felt wrong.

"On your feet, prisoner!"

She jerks at the sudden sound. A girl's voice, young, shouting at her. Her attention snaps from her thoughts to what's waiting outside her cell.

A face she recognizes. And two she doesn't. Igor behind a desk, and two girls in matching blue outfits just outside the doors. All three are staring at her, but her gaze locks on Igor's, drawn there like there's some kind of magnetism pulling it there.

She remembers Igor, the kind man who would speak to her when she entered the Velvet Room. There were some days where she would enter just to spend time with him and Margaret, just to chat, which he had happily accepted. His gaze before had been humble and inviting.

His gaze didn't look like that now. Not in the slightest. It's flat, and cold, and it felt like she was a bug trapped under glass.

That was her second indication.

"Pay attention, prisoner!" One of the girls say, shouting again— however, this time as she speaks, she hits the bars of Yin's cell with a nightstick. It clangs, echoing cruelly in the empty prison around them. She flinches, clearing her throat.

"Yikes, I'm paying attention!" She sputtered out, her eyes glancing from face to face. Igor stares unnervingly, and the two girls seemed like perfect mirrors to eachother. One looked as though she felt bad, but said nothing. Guess she was pretty much alone here.

"Welcome," Igor started. "To my Velvet Room." His voice, as he says the words, is low and almost threatening. This was the Velvet Room alright...but...but...

"This doesn't seem like the Velvet Room from before..." she says in confusion. It was a limo last time...and Narukami was the main guest, and he was of the Fool Arcana...

If it changed again, that meant there was a second guest here. And who knows, maybe Igor had already spoken to them.

There had been a flicker of surprise in Igor's gaze from her comment, before it hardened again.

"This room is a reflection of the heart. However, it belongs to the primary guest of this realm. You are only its second visitor." Igor spoke, pressing his fingertips together over his desk. And there was her theory confirmed. "The game is about to start."

"Game," Yin repeats, blinking. "What game?"

"Don't think you can question our master, prisoner!" the angry girl says, and Igor gives a low chuckle.

"I suppose you should be introduced to your wardens," he says, spreading a hand in the angry girl's direction. "This is Caroline. Her quieter sister is Justine."

Yin looked down, examining the two. The eyepatches, the hats...they were mirrors indeed...and they seemed so familiar.

"But back to the game," Igor says. "I am afraid you are ill-equipped in order to play. If you aren't careful, you may lose whatever advantages you had before."

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Yin says. "What--"

The look Igor gives her makes her question get caught in her throat. Wrong. Wrong, that look was her third indication! Igor was acting so cold, so chilling. Nothing compared to the kind old man from before.

"Find a way to enter the game," Igor tells her. "Do it quickly. You don't have much time before it will be too late to make up lost ground."

Yin can feel sleep draining away from her, and her mind urging her to wake--she's still here in the Velvet Room, but she can feel her bed in her home too, and the breeze from the window she's left open the night before.

"Wait," she says, moving forward and gripping the cold steel rods in front of her. Caroline makes a movement forward with her nightstick, clearly ready to give the bars, or maybe his hand, another smack--but she freezes in place when Yin blurts, "Lavenza."

Igor twitched, the name making him give an inquisitive look, one that said for her to go on.

She struggles for words. Should she have mentioned Margaret instead? Did...something happen to Lavenza? "Is she... is she okay?"

And there's just a pause before Igor says, "There was... an unfortunate incident."

And with those final words, she woke up, sitting up straight in her bed. Years...that's how long it had been since she last even dreamt about the Velvet Room...and it had changed so much.

Where was Margaret? Lavenza? Why had Igor seemed so different? But there was one thing she knew...dreaming about the Velvet Room meant another calamity was sure to fall upon the world. First, the Dark Hour back in 2009. Then, the fog covering Inaba in 2011. Now this...

She had to try and do something...find out what was happening now...

Maybe she needed to try and get the Investigation Team back together.
