Shivaay stood near the poolside, leaning to the door looking at his wife who was unaware of him being there. She was looking extremely adorable being heavily pregnant holding her baby bump between both her hands, sitting on their bed.

"Baby..you know, tomorrow is papa's birthday. His first birthday after we got to know about you. Next year you'll be there to celebrate it with us. Baby, I am confused in what to gift to your papa..he says nothing but aise kaise, it's birthday na!", she said cutely holding her bump.

"Because mumma is already giving biggest gift to papa, papa don't want anything", he said walking towards her making her gasp.

"Haww! You're eve dropping me and baby's talk. Very bad Shiv", she said pouting.

"But the topic was me right so it's not bad", he said winking, keeping his one knee on the bed and pecked her pout cupping her face making her blush.

"This blush of yours drives me crazy", he mumbled nuzzling their nose making her giggle.

"Shivaay..boliye na! What you want as gift?", she asked again holding his hands making him sigh.

"Baby I said right? Just you and you're already gifting me biggest gift by end of the month", he said sitting beside her and took her in a side hug keeping his hand on her bump. She pouted.

"Fine! But we're having a big party tomorrow and you can't say no for it", she said pointing finger at him which he laced with his.

"As you wish my queen", he said huskily pecking her lips deeply.

"Now! Did you had your medicines after dinner?", he asked making her smiled sheepishly.

"Woh..umm..haha", she laughed nervously making him raise his eyebrow but shook his head seeing her pout.

"Why are you so careless woman", he said taking out her medicines from side drawer and gave them to her passing a glass of water.

"You know even I feel I'm having forgetting tendency since pregnancy", she said gulping her medicines. He chuckled moving to his side of bed and sat down beside her.

"When your memory was sharp baby?", he asked jokingly to earn a hard glare from her.

"You mean to say I always forget things?", she asked frowning deeply. He mentally smacked himself seeing her hormones.

"Of course not baby..I was just kidding", he said sweetly wrapping arm around her shoulder. She twisted mouth hearing him.

"I love you", he whispered softly in her ear making her smile widely and kept head on his shoulder.

"Shivaay what do you think? How he would be?", she asked caressing her bump to feel a kick. He kept hand on hers.

"I want her to be like you! Sweet, adorable, loving with these beautiful brown eyes and this cute nose", he said pecking her nose.

"But I want baby to be like you. I always say him too, be like your papa, both facial and characteristics wise, just sweet like me", she said giggling making him narrow eyes.

"You mean to say I am not sweet?", he asked playing with her earlobe.

"Just with me you're sweet so puh-lease", she said and he chuckled on her accent for please.

"Baby..it's late night, come sleep! You need rest", he said and started arranging pillows around her for her comfort.

"Shivaay it will be 12 in an hour. Let me wake up till then na", she whined.

"Baby no need! Wish in morning, come now, sleep", he said helping her to lay down, she made a grumpy face. He kissed her lips and pecked her forehead making her smile.

"Sleep, I love you", he whispered pecking her eyes.

"I love you too", she replied closing eyes with a sweet smile. He scooted closer to her and took her in a spoon hug pecking her hair. Soon both drifted to sleep.

Shivaay felt his face getting smothered with kisses. Opening his eyes, he saw Annika looking at him with a wide smile.

"Happy birthday Shivaay", she whispered screamed, pecking his lips tightly. He smiled with sleepy eyes and got up. She sat in front of him happily when his eyes went on clock which was showing 12:30.

"Baby..I told you to sleep na!", he said frowning to which she smiled sheepishly.

"Don't frown now! I am anyways 1/2 hour late. Now help me to get down", she said making him confused.

"Why??", he asked to which he got a glare making him sigh. Helping her to get down, he saw her going towards her wardrobe and took out one plate covered with another on it.

"How can birthday be without cake! I made cake for you...", she said keeping the plate on bed and uncovered it showing a small chocolate cake.

"Baby why...", he sighed though he got touched with her efforts even after being heavily pregnant. He see her daily getting tired in even wearing her clothes and here, she baked a cake for him.

"You always make cake for me.. I was learning baking since past 6 months for you, because I wanted to", she said holding his eyes. He looked away getting emotional but then looked at her with a smile.

"Thank you", he said making her smile softly.

"Now cut the cake, I want to eat", she said cutely making him giggle. Holding her hand in between his hands, he cut the cake while she sung the birthday song like a kid making him adore her.

She took the piece and fed him, he took the same piece feeding her and both pecked each other's cheek.

"You wanna have more?", he asked forwarding the piece to which she nodded cutely. He giggled feeding her and kissed her chubby cheek.

"How's the cake?", she asked looking at him nervously.

"Just like you. Sweet!", he said making her smile widely.

"Now let's sleep before your back ache starts, you won't get sleep then", he said to which she nodded. Keeping the cake away, he made her lay down and both slept again.

Next morning,

He got up to see an already awake Annika stretching her legs in pain. He got up immediately.

"Baby, paining?", he asked to which she nodded meekly.

"I don't know why it's paining a lot today infact baby is also kicking a lot", she said keeping her hand on her baby bump. He immediately held her bump caressing it and bent peppering kisses on her belly.

"What happened baby, why troubling mumma so much", he said softly pecking her bump. The kicks stopped making her smile widely.

"He loves you a lot", she said looking at her bump.

"That's why I say it's my princess", he said smirking and flicked her nose making her scrunch.

"We'll see", she said twisting her mouth. He chuckled.

"Let's get you freshen up my love", he said and got down the bed walking to her and carried her to bathroom.

Carrying her back to their room, she left her near the wardrobe and went to take shower. After he came out, he saw her ready in a yellow maxi dress and wearing her earrings.

"Hey my sunshine", he whispered softly and kissed her cheek, taking in a back hug holding her bump. She smiled widely.

"Hey! Dress up then we'll go downstairs and have breakfast. I am hungry", she said playing with his fingers.

"Hungry huh? I need to see from which direction sun rose today", he said teasing her to which she nudged her elbow in his stomach.

"I get hungry okay", she said pouting to which he hummed giggling.

Holding her hand, she took her downstairs to see everyone in hall. As soon as they saw Shivaay, all exclaimed a happy birthday wishing him making him smile.

Om and Rudra took him in a tight hug wishing him happy birthday while Rudy kissed his cheek.

"Bhabhi! We did everything you want. After breakfast, preparation will start", Rudy said to which Annika smiled widely giving a thumbs up.

"What's going on?", Shivaay asked confused.

"Your birthday party's preparations", she said shrugging making him shake head in disbelief. Shivaay was never a birthday enthusiast and a party lover but since 3 yrs, Annika makes sure to throw a party for him which Oberois supports happily.

They were moving to dining area when Shivaay pulled her back.

"Dare you do any work Annika, I am warning you, I will not allow you to move around in party at night then", he said making her pout.

"I don't like you", she said frowning and taking her, walked to the dining table to have breakfast with family. He sighed and went behind her, rolling eyes.

The breakfast was full of laughs, giggles and elders sharing childhood memories of Shivaay.

Shivaay was talking with one of his friend on call when he saw Annika coming to their room wearing a navy blue saree with black lace blouse talking to priyanka.

"Okay bhabhi..I will go and get ready now! You relax, okay?", she said to which Annika nodded. She turned to only hear his whistle.

"Who would say this sexy lady is pregnant", he said walking to her making her giggle.

"Everyone will, seeing this", she said giggling pointing at her bump.

"It's just increasing your beauty", he said wrapping arms around her and pecked her head.

"That's true! Wow!! You're looking handsome", she said happily, looking at him who was looking dapper in blue jacket suit with black shirt under it.

"So may I get an appreciation kiss for it", he said smug smile and leaned to her lips making her blush. He was going to kiss her when Annika felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen making her moan in pain. He looked at her worried.

"What happened baby? Are you okay? Should we go to hospital?", he asked nervously holding her hands to which she shook her head.

"Doctor warned me about false alarms, chill, I am okay", she said to which he nodded reluctantly.

"You are sure right? Annika you're in your last month, please take care", he said cupping her cheeks.

"I am Shivaay, don't worry", she said caressing his cheek. He nodded kissing her head.

"What are you wearing below?", he asked and raised up her saree a bit to see flat sandal.

"I know I shouldn't. Itni bhi careless nahi hun. Chale ab? All are waiting for you", she asked to which he nodded. Wrapping one arm around her waist and another holding her hand, they went back downstairs.

As they came downstairs, everyone wished Shivaay again. After the greetings, everyone got together for cake cutting. Everything was going smoothly. Shivaay made Annika meet some of his friends and business partners.

"Shivaay I will be just near the food area, checking the catering. Rudy is already there, don't worry", she whispered in his ear as they're talking to his partners. He sighed but nodded knowing her mood would spoil otherwise.

"Be careful", he said to which she nodded and went from there. At food counter, she saw Rudra and bhavya fighting with each other over something making Annika shake her head.

"Oh god! Har waqt ladhte rehte ho", Annika said going to them making them stop.

"Bhabhi you know your favourite Rudy, I was not fighting, it was she", Rudra said making bhavya open her mouth wide.

"Haww! Such a liar you're Rudy.. It was not me bhabhi, it was him. A girl was standing here and he was flirting with her even after being married", bhavya said making their fight start again.

"Aree shhh! Quiet both of you! Is everything ready in catering? I sent you both for that", Annika said to which both nodded like kids.

"Everything is ready and hot bhabhi. Sweets and cake is also placed", Rudra said making Annika smile.

"Yes bhabhi and after refreshments are also ready", Bhavya said making Annika nod.

"Very good! So we can start dinner. I will go and tell dadi and everyone", she said and was going from there when again a sharp pain occured in her lower abdomen.

"Bhabhi are you okay?", Rudra asked worried holding her. She nodded blinking.

"Just false alarms, you stay here, I am fine", she said to which both nodded and she started going again but the pain just kept increasing.

"Ahh!", she moaned in pain holding the chair there for support. Rudra and Bhavya rushed to her.

"Bhabhi kya hua? Are you okay!", bhavya asked.

"I...I think my water is going to break...ahhh! Rudy!! Call your bhaiya fast..ahh..my water broke", Annika shouted sitting on the chair with a thud and held her bump.

"Omg! It means I will become chachu!", Rudra exclaimed and started jumping making Annika glare at him and Bhavya face palmed.

"Idiot go and call bhaiya! Bhabhi is in pain", Bhavya shouted making Rudra realise the situation and rushed to Shivaay.

There, Shivaay was standing with one of his business partner talking to him when Rudra came rushing to him.

"Rudy what happened why are you running?", Shivaay asked.

"Bhaiya...bhabhi..woh...", he was huffing and started to calm himself.

"Bhaiya bhabhi's water broke. Hospital!", Rudra said calming making glass fall from Shivaay's hand.

"What??", Shivaay shouted and rushed to Annika.

"Haan she's crying in pain", Rudra said following him.

He reached dinner area to see family surrounding Annika who is crying in pain. He rushed to her and kneel down.

"Baby..baby take a deep breath, release and take, release and take! OmRu, take out the car", he said rubbing Annika's hands breathing in the pattern along with her. OmRu nodded and rushed from there. He picked up Annika in his arms.

"Just sometime baby, we'll reach hospital. Breathe, keep your eyes open", Shivaay said rushing to the car. Om opened the backseat and he entered with her inside the car.

"Shiv..Shivaay it's paining a lot", she cried clutching Shivaay tightly making him look at her helplessly and hugged closer.

"Just some more time", he mumbled rocking her lightly. OmRu drove to hospital in full speed. Dodging all the traffic, they reached hospital in 20 minutes.

Rushing inside with Annika in his arms, they shouted for doctor. Oberoi family reached behind them. As doctor came, Annika was rushed to the OT. She was tightly holding Shivaay's hand.

"Please...please don't leave me alone!", she said holding his hand tightly.

"I am coming baby, calm down. Just keep taking deep breath and keep your eyes open, I love you", he said kissing her palm and she was taking inside OT. He rushed to changing room and changing in scrubs, he came out and took a deep breath.

Seeing Annika crying is his biggest weakness. He can't see tears in her eyes and seeing her crying, somewhere because of him was breaking him from inside but he needs to be strong for her.

Assuring their family, he went inside the OT to see Annika moaning in pain, clutching nurses hands tightly. He rushed to her and held her hand kissing her palm.

"Baby you're my strongest girl right? We waiting 9 months for our baby, just last battle, imagine our baby will be in our arms", he said kissing her head whispering sweet nothings in her ear. She was clutching his hand tightly with tears coming out of her eyes.

"I love you my lady, you're strongest woman I have seen", he said encouraging her.

"Annika, start pushing on the count of three", doctor said seeing baby taking position. She nodded clutching his hand tightly and started pushing as doctor gave counts of three.

After sometime which felt like eternity, she gave a push with all her left strength and fell back on bed. Loud cries echoed in room telling them that their baby is here.

"It's a baby girl Mr. Oberoi", the doctor said bringing tears in couple's eyes.

"You did it baby", he whispered with tears and kissed her lips who let out a sob with wide smile, nodding.

"We did it", she whispered meekly. After cleaning her, the baby was given to Shivaay who took her with teary eyes. He kept the baby on Annika's chest who cried seeing her and caressed her hair kissing her head.

"You won", she said making him chuckle remembering about their bet on baby's gender.

Shivaay went out as baby's weight was needed to be checked and Annika has to be shifted in ward. Everyone congratulated him hugging tightly. He was just crying being overwhelmed with the newfound feeling of being father.

After sometime, he was informed that Annika is shifted in normal ward and he can meet her. Opening the door of the ward, he saw the best sight he ever saw.

His wife was sitting on the the bed with their daughter in her arms and a nurse is helping her to feed her. Seeing Shivaay, the nurse passed a smile and went from there.

Annika looked up at him and smiled and then looked at their daughter. He sighed and kissed her hair caressing their daughter's hair.

"Thank you", he said with glisten eyes and a small smile.

"You remember I asked you, what you want as gift. You said nothing as I am already gifting you our baby. Here you're, I am literally gifting you our baby. Happy birthday Shivaay", Annika said making him realise that his birthday is still going on.

"Th..that mean I am going to share birthday with our daughter", he said emotionally to which she nodded.

"That's why this naughty was troubling me so much since morning because she wanted to come out and give surprise to papa huh", Annika said cooing to which the little soul looked at, keenly with her hazel eyes- unique combination of blue and brown orbs.

"I couldn't have got better gift than this Annika! Best gift anyone can get on their birthday", he said caressing her hair and took her in his arms kissing her entire face. Annika smiled adoring the most important people of her life.
