Jiang Cheng received a text message from Wang Xichen early in the morning, asking, 'Could you take Xiao Zhan to that restaurant today?'

Without thinking twice, Jiang Cheng had replied back, 'sure'.

So here he was, convincing Zhan to go out with him.

"Jiang Cheng, I want to stay alone..." Xiao Zhan protested.

"You can stay the way you want after your marriage. Now come out with me."

"Jiang..."

"I don't want to listen any more word from you. Get ready, we'll leave at 4 : 30." With that, Jiang Cheng left the room, leaving Xiao Zhan alone.

Xiao Zhan sighed into his empty room. He did not want to go anywhere. He just wanted to confine himself in this room. But it seemed like impossible now.

Xiao Zhan got to his cupboard, looking fir a blue shirt that would go with his pant when his phone rang.

It was a call from... Wang Yibo!

'What does he want now?'

Xiao Zhan did not answer the phone and went on with his. But Yibo did not let him go. He rang again. Again and again until Zhan picked up.

It was on the fourth call did Zhan pick up the call, annoyed to the core and hissed into the phone,

"Why the hell can't you leave me alone?"

Wang Yibo knew that Xiao Zhan would not be polite to him but at least he could not be this harsh! Yibo swallowed the lump on his throat and asked,

"How are you?"

"I asked you something." Xiao Zhan spat.

"I too asked you something." Wang Yibo replied.

"When on the earth did you begin to care about me?"

"Since the day I met you." Wang Yibo blurted out the truth.

Xiao Zhan's breath hitched hearing those words but then he chose to ignore them reminding himself that it was just another lie of Wang Yibo.

Xiao Zhan really did not want to speak with Wang Yibo. Just thinking of Wang Yibo gave him a headache let alone speaking. Wanting to hang up, Xiao Zhan asked, in his most polite tone.

"Second Master Wang, if you could tell why you called me, then I could reply you and get going with my work."

"I called to ask you how you were doing."

Xiao Zhan clenched his teeth and replied, "By God's grace, I am still alive."

"Zhan, I am really worried about you." Wang Yibo tried but Xiao Zhan cut him off.

"I am honoured."

"Xiao Zhan, why can you not just listen me out once?"

"I don't see a need in listening to people like you who would rather ruin other people's lives just to keep themselves happy and contented."

Wang Yibo kept a hold on his tears and said, "I never ruined anyone's lives."

"Oh yeah... I forgot!" Xiao Zhan exclaimed. "Second Master Wang is so noble and generous that he compensates beforehand. Right?"

"I just wanted to show my gratitude to your family for accepting me as your..." Wang Yibo thought for a second and unable to find out how Xiao Zhan exactly considered him, he said, "As your life mate."

"Life mate...? Gratitude...? Hahaha...." Xiao Zhan fell into a fit of laughter and it was sure to make a scar on Yibo's feelings. "Second Master Wang, I now understand how your family is so successful in everything they lay their hands on. Such eloquent people are very rare."

"Xiao Zhan, please don't involve my family into this."

"Did I say anything wrong?" Xiao Zhan argued.

Wang Yibo sighed. There was no use in trying make Xiao Zhan understand his real feelings. Xiao Zhan was not in a state of mind to listen anyone. He is very depressed with the idea of having marry to someone whom he have never known before. He could not be blamed for it. So Wang Yibo said,

"Xiao Zhan, I sincerely hope there comes a day when you would understand properly."

"And I sincerely hope that such a day never comes, Wang Yibo."

As expected, Xiao Zhan was the one and only person who could make his heart flutter and at the same time, Xiao Zhan was the one and only reason for his heart to shatter into million of pieces.

Trying to ignore the pain, Wang Yibo said,

"Xiao Zhan, take your meals and medicines on time. Have good rest. Don't bother yourself with works. Please take good care of your health. I am sorry for not visiting you as I am busy with... wedding arrangements. I hope you wouldn't take me wrong. If anything, don't hesitate to call me. Take care. Bye. See you soon."

With that Wang Yibo hung up.

Xiao Zhan was rendered speechless by Yibo. He sighed, rewinding what Yibo had just said, and thought to himself,

'Wang Yibo, what exactly do you want from me?'

Jiang Cheng was glad that he had not have to do a lot of pursuing to take Zhan out but he found it very strange fir Zhan to be so quiet.

Xiao Zhan was never a fan of silence and him being silent itself was was more than mere surprise.

To break the silence during the ride, Jiang Cheng said,

"Nie Huisang said that you did not pick up his call. Why?"

"Was not in the mood to talk." Xiao Zhan replied.

"Since when did you care for moods to talk?"

"You cannot stay the same always."

"Whao...Xiao Zhan.. You really are..."

"Can we please not talk of anything?" Xiao Zhan asked and Jiang Cheng could not believe his ears.

He whipped his head around to look at Xiao Zhan who was staring outside through the window. Jiang Cheng really wanted to speak back but looking at the sullen face of Zhan, he obliged to Zhan's wishes just hoping that Zhan would be fine.

When they arrived at the restaurant Xiao Zhan asked,

"Why is it so empty?"

"How would I know? Come on, let's get in." Jiang Cheng urged hurrying in.

Xiao Zhan followed.

Xiao Zhan looked around but there was not even a single customer. The place was so quiet and in a way, Zhan loved it. He really did not want to be in any crowded places right now.

Zhan took a seat around the corner and by the window, Jiang Cheng sitting across him. Soon, a waiter came running to their table with the menu in hand. Handing over the menu he said,

"Welcome sir, you are here at the right time."

Xiao Zhan raised his brows at that, looking sharply at the waiter as of wanting him to explain. With a polite smile, the waiter continued,

"Well, it's our boss's birthday today and so we are having special offers. You can order anything you want on 50% discount."

"That sounds great." Jiang Cheng cried already planning on what to order.

Xiao Zhan just nodded and looked down at the menu when the waiter continued, still not over with his speech.

"Moreover, you can even taste our specialities by playing the game over there."

The waiter said pointing over the other corner of the restaurant where two big boards were kept which contained some scratch cards pinned on it. One board was named 'Truth' whole the other was named 'Dare'.

"Truth or Dare?" Jiang Cheng questioned.

"Yes, you can choose any scratch cards on the two boards and write down your answers for the truth and do accordingly for the dare. Every scratch card contains varieties of special desserts prepared by our main cook.

"Sounds interesting..." Jiang Cheng complimented when his phone beeped.

Jiang Cheng checked his phone to find that Wang Xichen had messaged him and it read, 'Please make Xiao Zhan choose truth. It will be very helpful.'

Jiang Cheng whipped his head around looking fir a sign of Wang Xichen but he found no one. 'may be he is watching us from the camera' Jiang Cheng thought.

He received another message from Wang Xichen and this time, he had sent,

'I would be happy if you too could answer all the questions under truth' Jiang Cheng blushed.

What was Wang Xichen up to?

Xiao Zhan was not interested in the game so he just shrugged off whatever the waiter said but due to non stop whining from Jiang Cheng, he had to play it along with Jiang Cheng.

But to his astonishment, when he chose truth, the first question that he was asked on the scratch card was, 'What is your ideal type for boyfriend?' Xiao Zhan almost laughed at that but wrote down his answer nonetheless.

The more and more he played, he realised that all these questions were just everything that he had imagined and wanted so badly in his life. May be it was God's will to word out his dreams for one last time before his dream shatters. With that in mind, Xiao Zhan began playing the game seriously and wrote down every of his dreams to the related questions, feeling very sad that they would never come true.

Little did he know that Wang Yibo would make sure that all his dreams would come true and that he would remain the happiest person on earth the, alive forever!
