♪ Evanescence - Bring me to life

Sophie's pov:

Yunho was waiting for me right outside my room. As soon as I saw him, ran up to him and gave him a tight hug. He wrapped his arms around me, making me feel warm. I couldn't resist the tear that slipped through my eyes. It had been so many months since we even properly hugged each other.

We stood like that for a long minute, none of us said anything for the whole time. It felt good. Good to finally hug the person who you liked so much.

"How are you Soph?" Yunho asked finally, breaking the silence. I looked up to him... he was still as tall and handsome as he had always been. "I'm fine. You?" I asked with a smile. "I'm fine now that you are here." His cheeks flushed red as we broke apart from our hug.

"Let's go now. I'll show you around. " He held my hand and soon we were at the entrance of the house, the living room. I got a flashback of my first visit here.... It was with Yunho. "Why did we come here?" I asked Yunho as I already had been in the hall plenty of times by now.

"Let's start from the start. Try to register all the passages, they're pretty easy to remember in the order I'll show you around. " He explained.

"Alright! Sounds good. " I answered.

"Okay now... look at your left. That passageway leads to the garden and the passage at the right leads to the party lawn. Where do you want to go first? "

"Garden." I said looking at my left. Both the passages were pretty similar, just the one at the right seemed longer. We started walking to the left, suddenly the passage felt compact as we entered, compared to the huge double height living room we were standing just before. It opened up to another huge ass hall, which was small but mostly empty, just some decorations and statues here and there. The wall just opposite to me was literally a glass curtain, and the most beautiful at that. The outside was full with lush green bushes, which seemed like there was no end to it.

It was literally my new favorite place in this place now. "Wow! Is this a lounge or something? " I asked looking at the minimal furniture, just three chairs circling a teapoy in the center of the hall. "Kind of... we don't spend much time here, it's like an entrance to the garden." He replied. We walked further, I even noticed the small glass door in the glass façade.

We walked in to the garden. It smelled of roses and the plants everywhere were just so pretty. Everything was blossoming, I had forgotten this was all real. It felt like a fairyland in those fairy tales I used to read when I was a kid.

Beautiful.

There were a couple of gardeners working. I noticed a small structure at one point. "What's that?" I asked pointing at it. "Oh... it's their house. They live here. " "Oh." I wasn't even surprised at the fact that they even made a small house for the gardeners.

"Hey... I...um... remember this place." I said sheepishly as we walked in to a gazebo. It was the same place where I and Yunho met when I came to give him his jacket and the switchblade back and it didn't went well.

"I remember too." Yunho shyly. "I'm sorry for literally kicking you out back then." He admitted. I laughed at him. He was just too cute and humble and that's what I liked about him the most.

After spending a while and checking out the garden, we went back to the living room and started walking to the party lawn. This passage was longer than the earlier one and was a bit more fancily decorated, giving it a 'only vips can pass through here' look to it. There was one more entrance to the passage in the middle, which I realized was the same one I had come through last time, when we had our 'first dinner' together. Maybe that one connected with the upper floor.

"Well, we are now going to the party lawn and we don't usually use it. It's just for very special occasions or when someone very important visits. " Yunho spoke as we almost reached the huge door. I had been here already so it didn't take much time for me to properly see it. The hall was huge and pretty and the interior actually felt like it was super expensive. There was a lawn right outside the hall and it was plain but beautiful. Rich.

"One question!" I suddenly raised my hand. "What is it?" Yunho chuckled at my gesture. "Why do y'all call it party lawn? We call it party hall. " I asked. "Because there is literally a party lawn out there dumb we just called it whatever came to our mind first... and we're not architects!" Yunho playfully hit my head as we both started laughing.

We came at the same spot in the living room. "Okay now... let's go to the reading room and dining." Yunho held my hand again, and we started walking towards the parallel passages which were right behind the huge bifurcated staircase. "You guys have a reading room !? You mean a literal reading room and a library and with books in it!?" I asked excitedly. "Well...I don't know about your reading rooms and libraries....but ours does have books. And plenty of them at that." Yunho grinned. I waved my hands excitedly, ignoring Yunho's sarcastic comment.

It wasn't very far, just a couple of steps and we were already standing in front of the door of the library. "You read?" I asked Yunho before entering. He gave a disgusted look, "Who even reads nowadays? Ew. Of course no." I gave him a small punch on his arm, squinting my eyes at him. "I do! Reading is my hobby!" I replied. "Then you, Mingi and Hongjoong will get along pretty well. This library exists only because of those geeks. And Yeosang too sometimes."

"Woah... never thought Yeosang likes reading." I responded surprised at the new information. Yunho shook his head. "No. He doesn't. He just likes looking at the pictures in the books and uses them for drawing references." I almost face palmed after hearing this. Right, he was an artist. I recalled his beautiful phoenix painting which hung in the living room I had seen on my first visit; touching which made Yeosang mad at me, till date.

We finally went in. A surprised Mingi looked at us as he quickly kept back the book he was holding in his hand. "What are you guys doing here?" Mingi asked. "Showing her around." Yunho replied as we walked towards the tall boy. He smiled at me, his eyes almost disappeared because of the eye smile of his. "Please tell me you like reading too Sophie. I need company! Hongjoong reads boring stuff." Mingi frowned as if he was recalling a memory. I happily modded with a 'YES'. "I love reading!" I replied excitedly, which made Mingi's smile wider.

We kept talking for a long time, about our favorite genres and authors and our favorite books and we got along really well. Mingi seemed beyond happy to finally find someone with similar tastes. And same for me.

"Ahem...are you guys done?" Yunho interrupted, a small frown on his face. We had totally forgotten that he was right there with us too. I chuckled. "Not yet but we'll continue our talk later, is it okay, Mingi?" I looked at the taller who nodded with a smile.

"Thank god, I thought you guys will never stop." Yunho left out a sigh as we waved and took a short tour of the library. It didn't look like a small house library. It had almost all types of books which brought a huge smile on my face.

"You look happier now." Yunho spoke suddenly as we exited the library. "Of course. This will be my new favorite place in this house." I admitted. I was a book addict and a place like this with the perfect atmosphere and so many books was like a dream come true.

"Really? Then I guess if I won't find you in your room, I'll find you here." He replied when we almost reached the opposite passage. I happily.

We entered another familiar passage which was slightly longer than the previous one. I instantly recognised it as the way to the regular dining hall and kitchen as I had been here before. It was mildly decorated than the other ones and for once, I felt like a normal person in a normal house.

The kitchen usually had one or two maids always working, but only on specific timings. Other all times, it was empty. The dining hall was probably one of my favorite places too as it was always chaotic and the atmosphere was always light and friendly. It felt good and cosy.

The ground floor tour ended quickly as me and Yunho, once again returned to the same spot, now standing right in front if the huge bifurcated staircase. Time to explore the upper floor. I only knew about the rooms, but I was well aware it was much more than that.
