Darcy opened her eyes, blinking several times. Her gaze foused on the sleeping face belonging to Morpheus. He seemed peaceful, as if he hadn't spent a century inside a glass sphere. Perhaps, his quest had taken it's toll on him. She smiled slyly, admiring him. He lied on his side, faceing her, a blank expression rested on his features. She tore her eyes away, glancing around the room. It was still dark. She frowned, what had caused her to wake? She began to sit up. Realising that there was something resting over her waist, she furrowed her brows, looking to find that Dream had rapped his arm around her, during some point of the night. She smirked, glancing at his sleeping face, 'Missed me that much? You flatter me, Dream.'

Soft grumbling reached the hybrid's ears, making her frown. She tore her gaze away from Dream's sleeping form and peered towards the closed door. Narrowing her eyes, ears analysing the pattern of movement and sound. She slowly lifted the bed cover off her body, before sneaking from the Endless' grasp. She creped to the door, and silently exited the room.
She soundlessly inched along to the stairs to find her littlest brother sat on the floor. Her expression turned into a deep frown, concern burning in her orbs "Kol?"

Kol looked over his shoulder, a sulking expression on his face, eyes glassy "Sister." He whispered, as she kneelt down infront of him "Forgive me." Darcy's brows scrunched together "If I hadn't got distracted, that stupid baby vamp wouldn't have-"

"Kol," she caressened his cheek, eyes softening at him, a reassuring smile on her lips "he didn't." She brushed stray hairs from his eyes, behind his ears "You are not at fault. My darling brother."

"Yes I am, sister." He protested, bowing his head shame "You're only okay because of that, your...gentleman friend." She sighed. Kol was right, he had intervened before she or any of their siblings could have moved an inch.

_________

The Endless' semi-awoke, his brows furrowed sensing the empty space next to him. Dream opened his eyes, confirming his suspcions. He got out of the bed and exited the room. He glanced around the corridor, pulling the door to before walking forward. Whispers crept into his ears. As he neared the stairs, his eyes landed on Darcy and Kol. He halted, blending into the shadows, listening and observing.

"Who is he, anyway? Sister." Kol quried, brows furrowed "Why did he come here?"

Darcy half blinked, eyes dropping from her brother's face before they met his eyes, she couldn't quite answer that question "I don't know." She sighed as Kol's frown deepened "Who is he though?" Darcy sighed tiredly, looking downwards breifly.

Kol saw something he rarely saw in his sister's eyes "He's Morpheus, Dream of the Endless."

"Endless?" Kol frowned, narrowing his eyes "What does that mean, sister?"

''That's for him to say, if he decides." Darcy said before a stern expression wrapped around her features "Enough questions, it's time for some sleep little brother."

"Sister!" Kol whined, an outraged pout  on his face.

"Kol-" she glared.

"Your sister is right." A raspy voice cut in, Darcy turned sharply, effortlessly meeting his gaze, as Kol took his first proper look at the stranger. Who stared at the pair with his teary, silver orbs "The night is growing old, you should sleep."

Kol looked at his sister, tugging on the hem of her shirt to gain her attention "Sister. I couldn't sleep, I can't sleep."

Morpheus smiled slightly "I can help with that."

Kol frowned at him suspciously. Darcy  stood, smiling reassuring at her brother "You can trust him, Kol." The male original glanced at the ravenatte before looking back to his sister, who held out her hand, brow arched "Come on."

Kol sighed defeatedly, giving in and taking her hand, and allowed her to guide him to his chambers. With Morpheus trailing close behind. Admiring the siblings' relationship, they reminded him of himself and his own sister. Yes, he thought. He was sure, Death would like Darcy very much. Very much indeed.

_________

Darcy sighed tiredly, resting a hand on the door of Kol's chambers, closing her eyes, listening to his soft snores. Morpheus observed her, head tilted slightly. It had been some-what difficult to allure Kol into bed before he could even sprinkle his sand. The hybrid's eyes fluttered open, with drawing her hand.

"Are your brothers always so...curious about your and your sister's..." Morpheus racked his mind for the right word as she stepped away from Kol's room "companions?"

Darcy smiled amused, gaze meeting his, brows raised. She turned to him, as he observed the glint in her eyes. He couldn't describe it. All of her siblings - whom he'd met so far - had this indescrible sparkle in their eyes, yet they were devious and mysterious. He could see that fact, clear as day "On the contrary, love. We're all suspicous of each other and our 'companions'."

His lips twitched, eyes wide, cheek and playfulness swirling in his silver orbs. She stepped closer as he tilted his head down slightly, he raised his brows "Am I to assume that, your all really 'backstabbing savages', as you put it?"

Darcy smirked up at the Endless, sincerity burning in her eyes "I never lied about the things I told you about my family." He moved his head, giving a suble nod "I just left a few details out." Her time at New Orleans, the secret Esther thought she had forgot because she was so young.

"Despite what you believe Darcy," his brows breifly rose upwards slightly "or the rest of your siblings believe. From the little I've observed but heard so much, you all care for one another, a great deal."

Darcy blinked, drowning in his eyes as he glanced at her lips for the breifest second, all traces of playfulness gone from her face. She gazed at him with a fragile expression "Do you...still think our relations are similar, Dream?"

"Yes," he said firmly, having full believe in what seemed unbelieveble "our siblings are very much the same. However, despite how similar we are," the pair seemed lose themselves in one anothers orbs "we also different. So different."

_________

The morning had been some what awkward for the endless and hybrid. They arrived down stairs and sat with Kol and Klaus. Where Klaus side-glared at Morpheus - who didn't seem to notice or ignored that fact, - as he sat with his sister. Whilst the endless observed the original siblings. Kol divided his efforts to ease his boredom between his older brother and sister - begging them to entertain him, until Rebekah arrived and he turned his attention on her.

"I'm bored." Kol whined, slumping down into an armchair "Our sister is a strumpet, but at least she's having fun. I need entertainment."

"What are you waiting for?" Klaus glanced at him, as Morpheus blinked - this was how they interacted with one another, he glanced at Darcy, who hid an amused smirk behind her forfinger "Go on, have at it."

"It's no fun to go it alone. Join me, Nik!" He leant forward, looking at him hopefully "It's the least you can do after sticking a dagger in my heart." Klaus shot him a look in response to the guilt trap he set out, Kol smiled sheepishly before raising his brows, innocently suggesting "Maybe our older sister might forgive you?"

"Kol." She warned lightly as the ravenatte bit his lip with amusement.

"Okay. Why not." Klaus mused, disregarding his sketchbook on the table as he got to his feet "I didn't nearly have enough to drink with last night's..." he glanced at his sister's friend, who blinked, meeting his gaze defiantly "...events."

Kol turned his attention to Darcy. She looked at her brother, and couldn't stop the smile from taking her lips "Kol..."

He smiled pouting at her as Klaus rolled his eyes, Kol always won their sister over, over the rest of them. Kol slide off his chair, on to his knees. Morpheus raised his brows, breifly catching Klaus's gaze - who shook his head. Kol childishly crawled on his hands and knees to his sister, kneeling before her.

"Sister," he took her hands in his, she raised her brows, amusment all over her face "join us. Please. For me?" Darcy chuckled, going to answer but he interuppted, glancing at Morpheus "You can bring emo lover boy with us."

Morpheus raised his brows, cheeks lightly dusted with rose as Darcy gave her brother a look. Rebekah smirked as Klaus scrowled "We'll acompany you, Kol, on the way."

Kol frowned, raising to his feet, pulling his sister up with him "Why?"

"I have an appointment." Morpheus stood from his seat, turning slightly deeper to Darcy's left, eyes focused on her brother "I asked Darcy to accompany me."

Kol blinked, his sister had choosen someone over him. Klaus frowned, glancing between the endless and female hybrid, just how close had the pair got during their captivity? Darcy squeezed his hand "I also asked him to stay for awhile. Dream can't remain away from the Dreaming for too long."

Kol glanced at Morpheus through narrow eyes. The pale ravenatte stared at him unblinkly with slightly red, tearful orbs. He looked back to his sister before bowing his head, disappointed. He dropped her hands, rapping his arms around her waist, slightly nudging Morpheus away from her as he hugged his sister. He had no clue what she meant, but he suspected that if Morpheus or Dream went, she would to. Would she?

ream and Darcy strolled through the back waters of London, side by side, hands in pockets - aside from the odd occasion where their elbows brushed together or when he loopped their arms together. They'd accompanied Klaus and Kol as far to the Mystic Grill before disappearing in a swirl of smoke in the alleyway. Dream had an appointment with an old friend and wished to intorduce the Mikaelson to him.

"So, you and Death made a bet." She mused, a grin on her lips "A bet concerning some individual who refused to die. And even to this day-"

"-I am losing." Morpheus agreed.

"To which you are losing to this day," she echoed in amusement, rejoicing in the irony, eyes shining "for the last...six hundred years." She laughed. He shook his head as she laughed at him, smiling slightly "When did you make this bet, love?"

"1389." He informed, turning to look at her as she thought to herself, she humed.

"Only six hundred years." She uttered, he turned his head, guiding them around a corner. This friend of his was older than Katerina. An immortal like herself, but not burdened with the vampiric traits. She wondered if he'd crossed any of the supernatual creatures in his long life, or was he as ignorant to them as the endless' themselves were.

She blinked, coming out of her thoughts when they halted all of a sudden. She glanced at Morpheus, who smiled lowly, bowing his head. She followed his gaze, eyes landing on a man - who they'd nearly ran into. Morpheus was beinging gentlemanly, offering for the mortal to go past them. So, she smiled encouragingly. Yet the mortal stepped back into the doorframe of a shop, weary of them.

Darcy looked to Dream, who wore a disappointed expression but he briskly walked on, tugging her along with him. He took his hand out from his pocket, snaking it into her own, fingers rapping with hers. She gave his hand a comforting squeeze. He scrowled emptily, at the ground as they walked through a group of school kids, pushing them apart. Whom called after them and glared at their backs.

They silently they walked, forgeting their entwined hands in Darcy's pocket. Until they arrived to a boarded up old pub. Large metalish frames seperated them from the building. She frowned slightly, glancing at Dream, who stared at the wall in thought. He blinked away his thoughts, frowning at the feeling of cold air against his skin. He turned his head, to find the original gone. He frowned, slipping his cold hand into his pocket. His brows furrowed as his fingertips, met a retangled object. He pulled it out, watching confused as it lit up 'Darc, did you have my phone? Nik. - Klaus. He smiled slightly,  slipping the device away, she'd return to him.

He followed a spray painted path, ending up to a new pub. He entered, glancing over the new interior, before fixing his gaze on his old friend. Who beamed up at the sight of him as he halted behind a chair opposite the brunette "You're late."

He chortled slightly "It seems I owe you an apology." He smiled "I've always heard it impolite to keep one's friends waiting." He sat down, dipping his head back, around and to a front as he settled. Hob noted a change in his friend. He seemed happier.

The two ageless gentleman laughed together, catching up since their last meeting. Until a voice drew Morpheus attention. Hob observed curiously.

"Whisky, neat." Darcy nodded at the bartender, before turning her head looking over the pub for the pale man in black.

"I've never seen her around these parts." Hob observed, there was something about the dirty blonde he could put his finger on "She's beautiful."

"Yes. She is." Morpheus admitted, eyes on the original who's gaze landed on them. Hob took a long look at his friend shocked, a grin took his lips glancing between the pair. The hybrid's eyes glinted with that mysterious Mikaelson shine, taking a seat between them.

"So, your the famous immortal I've heard so much about."

Hob raised a brow, smiling "Yes, Hob Gadling," he noted how anicent her orbs looked, and the way she held herself...he couldn't find the right word.

"Darcy Mikaelson." She smiled gracefully, as he blinked, smile slight dropping with disbelief "As in the Original Family?" He grinned, chuckling when she nodded, his eyes shined "Wow."

"You've heared of us?" Darcy questioned, Morpheus blinked just how many had known about the originals?

Hob nodded "I've ran into a few werewolves, vampires and witches over the years."

Darcy smirked, bouncing a brow as she threw a look at Morpheus "Oh, and yet, you've never came across any, love."

Morpheus smirked curledly, eyes shining slightly wickedly, not saying a word. Hob grinned widely, enjoying the exchange.

_________

After a joyful exchange, the duo parted ways with Hob after closing hours, walking side by side away from the pub. Glances were sly catch and sent between the pair.

"Did you like him, then?" Morpheus broke the silence, looking at the hybrid who's natural beauty was enhanced even more by the golden street lights.

"Yes, I did." She nodded, causing him to smile slightly. They walked on, sliently. Darcy felt a sharp pang hit her heart. She hissed halting in her movements.

"What is it?" Morpheus questioned concerned, rooted in his stance beside her, she touched her chest, brows furrowed "What's wrong?"

"I don't know...ow!" She hissed, she withdrew her hand to see blood on her finger, she frowned "What?" Morpheus growled slightly at the sight of blood on her hand, and the blood soaking her shirt. Anger burned though his vains as confusion ran though hers. He graspped her hand, pulling it away from the wound.

A buzzing in his pocket, made him ripping the stole phone out. Darcy took it, answering it "Nik, what the fuck-"

"Did you feel it?"

Her blood ran cold, eyes grew cold, realisation hitting her "Mother."

_________

"

Sister!" Nik cried out, once the sand cleared. Darcy sped forward, ripping Stefan off her brother, shoving her hand in his chest, rapping her fingers around his heart. Morpheus acted quickly, stepping over Alaric's body and pulled the dagger out of Kol. He twirled it around his hand, he lifted his eyes to land on the Salvatore, teary orbs dark with fury.

"What the fuck have you done?" Darcy sneered, squeezing Stefan's heart tightly "And why should I let you live?"

"What have you done?" Morpheus demanded, right behind her.

"What? Didn't know we were friends with your mother?" Stefan laughted, grunting when Darcy dug her nails into his heart "She hates you as much as we do, Klaus."

A growl slipped from Darcy's throat, at the threat against her brother. Steam practally rolled off the endless, who's eyes shined with pure rage. The nerve of this child. The memories of Darcy's wounds only made him angrier.

"Let him go." Elijah instructed, appearing on the scene, Kol and Klaus frowned at him.

"Fuck off." Darcy seethed, hardly listening. Why should she? She was the eldest present. Elijah sighed, stepping towards his sister only for Morpheus to wip around glaring at the original challengling. Daring him. "You tell me where the witches are or I'll have Rebekah kill Elena right now."

"You said we had until after nine." Stefan choked.

"I'm sure my sister will rejoice in starting her work early." Darcy sneered "Now, where the fuck is our mother?"

_________

The four originals sped away, leaving an angry endless to follow. The children found and confront their mother and elder brother.

"Why do you stand beside them, sister!" Finn questioned his most beloved sibling "Their monsters, the whole lot of them."

"As are you, Finn and I." Darcy glowered, disappointment filled her but anger was winnig over everything in her being "I understand you're upset, shout at Niklaus, shun him, do whatever the hell you want. But don't you dare stand by, and allow mother to kill us all."

"For a thousand years," Esther spoke "I've been forced to watch you. I felt the pain of every victim, suffered while you shed blood. Even you Elijah, with your claim to nobility, your no better." She looked at her daughter "And you Darcy, you're the worst. You burn whoever touches you with their friendship, you've brought down empire after empire. I did pity you, in your captivity." The brothers - bar Klaus - frowned, having no knowladge at what their mother was talking about "But because of that captivity, you've enchanted the Sandman. I will not let anyone suffer the consequences of you loving an Endless. Or any of your actions."

"Enough." A hallow, anicent voice commanded. The fires blew out, as thunder rumbled. The woods disappeared, an attic formed around the original family. Who looked amongst one another. Darcy knew this place, she turned, eyes landing on him. All eyes found the shadowed figure, sat upon the chair like a king. Small white stars glinted with wrath.

Darcy tilted her head, face becoming expressionless as she observed. "You dare kill your own children, to cover up your own mistakes?"

"My children are monsters, abnominations. They are a curse on this earth, King of Dreams."

Thunder rumbled as lightening flickered. Whilst the figure began to stand from his chair. Kol, Klaus, Elijah and Finn gaspped at Morpheus, who glared darkly. He was vengeful and beyond furious "Your children are damaged. They are guilty of many crimes as I am, and my own relations. They are not the monsters, you are Esther Mikaelson. Your children have done both acts of good and bad. The universe depends on them as much as it does on I and my siblings." Esther stuttered, as he stalked forward, drawing out a handful of sand "I curse you, with eternal waking."

"Mother!" Esther fell back, sand stuck in eyes, Finn ran to his mother.

"I condem you to Hell," Morpheus sneered as the room faded away, woods returning "until the end of time and the universe. Esther Mikaelson."
