"Why are we doing this?" I asked as I placed another plastic four leaf clover onto the wall

"You need to get into the St. Patrick Day mood." Cyborg advised

"Who celebrates this if they're not Irish?"

"We do. Get moving." Robin handed me a box of decorations

"I'm not taking part in this idiotic charade of yours." I went to my room to practice something.

You see, for the longest time, I've been infatuated with Beast Boy. I guess I just find it adorable how he's always trying to lift my spirits by telling dreadful jokes.

Today was the day. I practiced my walk, my talk, my look, my tone of voice. Everything. I was going to confess. I needed all the luck I could get so I took the penny and hugged the stuffed chicken he gave me and left the room.

"Beast Boy?" I asked as I knocked on his door "You there?"

"Come on in." He said

I entered his room and he sat on the floor with a pizza box next to him and an Xbox controller in his hand. I tried my best to ignore the smell and sat next to him.

"So, what's up?" He asked and paused his game to face me with a smile "Pizza?"

"No thanks." I refused and got to the point "I kinda like you."

"Rae, what?"

"I said that I-"

"I heard you but...why me?"

My heart shattered into a billion pieces as a single year flowed down my cheem "I-I"

He wiped it away "No, Rae, I like you too. It's just that you always fight with me so why me? Why bout someone more like you like Aqualad or Robin?"

I looked down onto the floor and blushed "I like you.. not them."

He lifted my face with a single finger and brought it up to his lips. A shuttering sound was heard in the distance and we separated in shock.

"I'm so tweeting this!" Cyborg said

Beast Boy chased Cyborg out the door after the camera

I scoffed "Good luck."
